The oddest question was asking if you had viewed porn (but distinguishing between porn only between consenting adults and porn in general). If they want to gauge the number of people who think bestiality or kiddy porn is okay, then they need to be more explicit in their questions.
Yeah there were a few strange questions. Would you discriminate against people based on race, gender, disability. Well, yes. I would not get an intellectually disabled person to perform brain surgery for example. One assumes that it is a case of not unfairly discriminating but not clear.
And I’d certainly discriminate on the basis of gender and sexual orientation if considering having a “relationship” with someone. Heterosexual women aren’t really my bag, darling – and I don’t think they’d have much fun with me either.
I thought the porn question was peculiar too. Because if I was into kiddie porn, bestiality, necrophilia or rape (none of which involves “consenting adults”), I’d hardly admit to it in an on-line survery.
Lots of matters weren’t included. Personal attitudes to violence; obscene language; punishment of crimes; business deals; attitudes to tax avoidance/evasion and benefit fraud; artistic expression. And surprisingly little on lying. Lots about sex, reflecting the common view that “morality” is a codeword for stopping people rooting.
