Location Aware Mobiles

Further to my post last week on cellphones being able to locate physically other cellphones, Vodafone is trialling location technology.

It’s based on your local cellphone tower so not as precise as GPS, and they are mainly looking at businesses being able to text an advert to people nearby. But in time I am sure the cellphone to cellphone location service will occur.
