A letter to the editor
April 3rd, 2007 at 10:26 am by David FarrarDear Mr Farrar,
I noted today that you stated on one of your blogs, which from a cursory glance can be best described as propaganda for the New World Order, that I claimed the twin towers were brought down by “Dubbya’s brother” as you put it. No I did not, as I’m sure you knew. Rather, I wrote the well known fact that Marvin P.Bush, the president’s younger brother, was a principal in a company called Securacom that provided security for the World Trade Center and I speculated that this would have enabled demolition charges to have been laid without incident.

Hey I never knew I worked the New World Order. They must be the ones responsible for the large donations into my bank account.
As it happens Clare has the wrong person. It was a commenter called Dave who made the comment in this thread.
According to Not PC, Clare thinks:
It’s common knowledge that Al Qaeda is the product of elements of the US Admin, bent on a one world government – or as Bush Senior termed, the New World Order…
Hey so I am linked to Al Qaeda. I want a website to prove it- say dpf.aq

Is that the chick whose ex boyfriend forwarded an email all around the world about certain acts she liked performing with him?
Or just a similar name?

Yes it was and I stand by what I wrote. In fact her response backs me up.
I used to know Clare fairly well, and it saddens me that someone with her brains and journalistic acumen has bought totally into the kookiest conspiracy theories of this age.
Ian Wishart used to publish a lot of her stuff, but when she started writing stories “revealing” that September 11 was a hoax perpetrated by the Bush administration, it became too much for Ian, who bless him endeavours to ensure there are facts amid most of what he publishes.
Re the New World Order, it amuses me that the fringe Left uses this name for its conspiracy of shadowy Rightists. Amuses me because, 25 years ago, the term was coined by the fringe Right (the John Birch Society, to be precise)for the shadowy “Left-wing conspiracy” it claimed was running the world.

DPF, there’s a CIA global internet search algorithm reviewing the words “I am linked to Al Qaeda …” in your post right now and thinking hmm, dodgy. Expect a knock at the door shortly!

Wacko indeed. Marvin Bush was a director of the company as one director out of several. He left the company something like a year before hand and was no long a director or a stockholder. So he was not involved in the company for at least a year before 9/11 (actually 14 months). As for that allowing them to lay demolition charges this shows the woman is stupid and doesn’t know how these are down. A small building takes hours to rig for demolition (a larger one takes days and involves wires running all over the place). The Twin Towers have people working in them 24 hours per day. Tenants have use of their offices any hour of the day and with a complext that huge there are always people in the building who would see this. They would need to empty the buildings for several days straight in order to lay the demolition charges needed for two buildings this large. And that simply never happened.
