Mayoral Northern Club Membership
December 20th, 2007 at 9:59 am by David FarrarAaron Bhatnagar blogs on how it turns out Dick Hubbard had ratepayers pay for his Northern Club Membership.
What is really stupid about this is that the Mayor is always given honorary membership of the Auckland Club, which automatically gives you reciprocal rights to the Northern Club. So the perk wasn’t even needed.

let me work this out.
Vote:Aaron had a blog and then didnt because his employer dont bother . But of course he chucked the job in when he got selected by CR for the council.
So Aron was back blogging again.
But after winning his council seat bllogging was off again… mostly.
But it seems the blooging is back full tit again. Not enough to do obviously.
maybe he shouldnt have chucked in the job selling typewriters and sewing machines

As a member of the Northern Club I’m not sure you have the “automatic reciprocal rights” line correct DPF; but that said (under a bombardment of fruit, rotten tomatoes and chants of snob, rich prick, snob), I always thought of Hubbard as more of an Auckland Club man anyway.

Can membership of the Manurewa Cosi Club get you in the door of the Northern Club under reciprocal rights???

Think, then type. It really doesn’t work too well the other way round.

OMG GWW you are a sick twisted bitter pathetic little man with your envious classist attitudes and constant put-down attempts. Methinks you need to stay out of the sun but away from unnecessary stimulus (like newspapers, TV, blogs) for the next couple of weeks and try to refocus on the meaning of your (obviously) miserable existence.

I should qualify, there is a reciprocal arrangement, but it does place restrictions on how and how often you can use the facilities. And to answer one of Aaron’s questions, I’m pretty sure the former mayor has been a member of the NC for quite a few years.

Id blackball GWW and any other known Socialist swine if they applied to join the Auckland Club. We dont want that sort of riff raff sullying the grand rooms in Shortland St.

If the logo issue and Hubbard’s Northern Club membership funded by the ratepayers were known prior to the election, Banks would have won by 20,000 votes, not 10,000.
Oh, and by the way GWW, do you approve of Hubbard having a Northern Club membership funded by ratepayers instead of his own pocket? Because you appear to have avoided the topic.

Don’t forget the Koru club membership. Did that have reciprocal rights too?

Koru Club memberships, Northern Club memberships, and record overseas junkets. What a life these lefties lead!

Banks was mayor before Hubbard so may have been standard practice.
Vote:But I never voted for Hubbard this time nor previously.
His ‘world class’ claptrap which meant over spending at Council put me off anyway.
But if Banks can follow up with what he says Id glady vote for him next time

Banksie is wasted as the Mayor of Auckland, he would be fantastic entertainment in the house as the leader of the National party.
The Labour scum and Klark in particular would not know what hit them.
