by fluke i actually saw this.. must have had the tv on tv3 when i went to bed..
was actually quite funny.. had a decent political discussion on tv3.. then i click to tv1 and buck tooth nerd is stacking cups and smiling at people off camera…
maybe the ratings will start to change?

The latest Herald Poll also shows that the “anti-smacking” law is more of an issue to Kiwis than the Electoral Finance law.

Not necessarily true Simeon (though you may be right).
The poll shows that the anti-smacking law is the most important issue for more people than the EFA. It is possible that the EFA is an important issue (just not the most important) for more people than the anti-smacking law.
I suspect not, but with polls we do have to be very careful how much we read in to them.

Very true Gareme. The Electoral Finance law will definitely stay in people’s minds and will probably become a major issue in the election campaign as people can see the affects of it.
