Our good friends and neighbours Don & Liz are both retired teachers and are very active in their church. THey are the sort of people that would drop everything to help someone in trouble. They emigrated to NZ from the UK 40 years ago. Both have been tribal Labour. This year for the first time ever they are voting National. They acknowledge this will have their parents spinning in their graves but for them the tipping point has been the craven dishonesty of ‘their’ Party (read Helen Clark) over the past three years.

In Don’s word “Its as if truth doesn’t matter any more and aspiration is to be measured by the lowest possible denominator”.

I suspect there are many more Don and Liz’s in NZ.

After reading a post on the Conservative blog which read “It’s an NCEA compulsory geography question. They show 5 pictures (a CBD, a mall, a park, an industrial area and a suburban street) and ask the following:

“Cities can be viewed as gendered, that is, parts of a city can be viewed as masculine and other parts viewed as feminine.

Study the 5 photographs and explain from a feminist perspective the way each of the particular urban areas can be viewed.”

I ask myself, as I got 84% in the UE Geography exam. What would I do if someone asked me that question?
Simple, I would say that the sisterhood and pc crap has fucked New Zealand ,then smack them in the head with my diddle.

At the risk of incurring the wrath and scorn of the hardcore anti-Laourites, I confess I truly believe that most Labour MPs are people of integrity.

Forced to become complicit, they must be feeling even more nauseous than I am over Labour’s disgusting support for Winston Paters (and other things).

I feel sorry for those honest people in Labour who are forced to swallow all this, and I am saddened that a once-principled party has fallen so low in the pursuit of power.

It might also be observed that as leading contenders to replace Helen Clark, they do NOT want to be caught in the splatter zone of her shit hurling machine. They want clean hands for when they take over and try to distance themselves from the tawdry past.

billion ?

A hundred dollar bill weighs a gram. 454 grams = one pound. $700 billion
in hundreds = 15,418,502 lbs.
It seems that the biggest readily available helicopter is the CH-53 Super
Stallion which has a payload of 37,000 lbs.
A moment on the back of an envelope shows they’d need 482 of them to
distribute the $700 billion.

I actually believe “philu has a job. He is paid to troll on blogs. I don’t believe he is what he says he is. He is too many stereotypes rolled into one, he is the epitome of too many things that press conservatives “hot buttons”. I believe he is a university-educated arty farty liberal leftist greenie.

I am still developing my theories, but I think that he is up to something similar to what there are paid civil servants already up to in Sweden and Norway and Canada; they troll the blogosphere provoking rightwingers to react in ways that will then be used under “hate speech” legislation, to track down and prosecute those rightwingers. We don’t have that legislation in NZ – YET. But hey, these people don’t believe in the status quo, no matter how much ground they’ve gained and no matter how much ground has been eroded out from under decent citizens.

Be careful who you vote for. – Explanatory Note.

The majority of the public have a grievance in one form or another against judges or other public servants, such as the Police, Social Workers, City Council Officers, etc, in respect of decisions they make. Every grievance is likely to fall within the denial of a right, obligation or interest. The reason for a grievance is because judges and other public servants generally are able to behave the way they feel and the public do not have an effective remedy, and the lack of an effective remedy is against International law. Every judge and other public servant here in New Zealand must observe every person’s rights, obligations, and interests and in failing to do so those people are breaking the law. The wrong part of New Zealand law is that there is no effective remedy when those people break that law. When the Bill of Rights Act is amended to accommodate an effective remedy the public will then be unlikely to have any grievance against a judge or other public servant.

In the upcoming election voters should only vote for those candidates who answer the following questions positively.

(1) Do you accept after digesting the meaning of the word “Property” within s2 and then digesting s219 both of the Crimes Act below, that when a judge or other public servant deprives a person from a right or interest or fails to observe a person’s right or interest that judge or public servant is in fact committing theft?

If not why?

2. Interpretation-
(1) In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires,-
“Property” includes real and personal property, and any estate or interest in any real or personal property, [money, electricity,] and any debt, and any thing in action, and any other right or interest:

219. Theft or stealing-
(1) Theft or stealing is the act of,-
(a) dishonestly and without claim of right, taking any property with intent to deprive any owner permanently of that property or of any interest in that property; or
(b) dishonestly and without claim of right, using or dealing with any property with intent to deprive any owner permanently of that property or of any interest in that property after obtaining possession of, or control over, the property in whatever manner.
(2) An intent to deprive any owner permanently of property includes an intent to deal with property in such a manner that-
(a) the property cannot be returned to any owner in the same condition; or
(b) any owner is likely to be permanently deprived of the property or of any interest in the property.
(3) In this section, taking does not include obtaining ownership or possession of, or control over, any property with the consent of the person from whom it is obtained, whether or not consent is obtained by deception.
(4) For tangible property, theft is committed by a taking when the offender moves the property or causes it to be moved.

223. Punishment of theft-
Every one who commits theft is liable as follows:
(a) in the case of any offence against section 220, to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 7 years; or
(b) if the value of the property stolen exceeds $1,000, to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 7 years; or
(c) if the value of the property stolen exceeds $500 but does not exceed $1,000, to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 1 year; or
(d) if the value of the property stolen does not exceed $500, to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 3 months.

(2) Do you accept that it is not appropriate to punish a judge or other public servant to any of the punishment set out in s223 of the Crimes Act above, and more in particular by a District Court judge when against a High Court, Court of Appeal or Supreme Court judge?

If not why?

(3) Do you accept that it is more appropriate to punish a judge or other public servant for failing to observe any person’s right or interest under the NZ Bill of Rights Act?

If not why?

(4) Do you accept after digesting s27(1)&(2) of the NZ Bill of Rights Act below that if a judge or other public servant fails to observe any person’s right, obligation or interest, that judge or public servant is breaking the law or otherwise committing an offence, and should be punished accordingly?

If not why?

27. Right to justice-
(1) Every person has the right to the observance of the principles of natural justice by any tribunal or other public authority which has the power to make a determination in respect of that person’s rights, obligations, or interests protected or recognised by law.
(2) Every person whose rights, obligations, or interests protected or recognised by law have been affected by a determination of any tribunal or other public authority has the right to apply, in accordance with law, for judicial review of that determination.

(5) Do you accept that there is no provision for punishment for breaching s27(1) under the NZ Bill of Rights Act?

If not why?

(6) Do you accept that there is no provision for where a person can make an application for judicial review, more in particular implied or otherwise when an application is against a High Court, Court of Appeal or Supreme Court judge?

If not why?

(7) Do you accept after digesting s3 of the NZ Bill of Rights Act below, it applies to every judge, every politician, and every person acting in the performance of a public function, power or duty?

3. Application-
This Bill of Rights applies only to acts done-
(a) By the legislative, executive, or judicial branches of the government of New Zealand; or
(b) By any person or body in the performance of any public function, power, or duty conferred or imposed on that person or body by or pursuant to law.

(8) Do you accept that nobody is above the law to the extent that they need not obey the law including the NZ Bill of Rights Act?

If not why?

(9) Do you accept that a majority of complaints you receive, or likely to receive, as a politician are genuine complaints in respect of a judge or other public servant failing to observe the complainant’s rights, obligations or interests?

If not why?

(10) Do you accept that our most basic right is our right to live and our second most basic right is our right to defend and protect ourselves?

If not why?

(11) Do you accept that our most basic obligation is to obey the laws of the country we live in?

If not why?

(12) Do you accept our most basic interest is our financial wealth and income, and an interest can include any lawful desire or need or potential desire or need?

If not why?

(13) Do you accept the major cost of our public services is attributed to the failure of judges and other public servants not observing everyone’s rights, obligations or interests?

If not why?

(14) Do you accept there would be no need for organizations like the Sensible Sentencing Trust if every judge observed every person’s primary obligation that is to obey the law and observe every other person’s interest in having offenders punished in accordance with the law?

If not why?

(15) Do you accept after digesting s66(b) of the Crimes Act below, that if a person omits to act when they are aware of another person breaking the law or otherwise committing an offence, that that person is equally guilty of committing that offence?

If not why?

66. Parties to offences
(1) Every one is a party to and guilty of an offence who-
(a) Actually commits the offence; or
(b) Does or omits an act for the purpose of aiding any person to commit the offence; or
(c) Abets any person in the commission of the offence; or
(d) Incites, counsels, or procures any person to commit the offence.
(2) Where 2 or more persons form a common intention to prosecute any unlawful purpose, and to assist each other therein, each of them is a party to every offence committed by
any one of them in the prosecution of the common purpose if the commission of that offence was known to be a probable consequence of the prosecution of the common purpose.

(16) Do you accept that you as a politician or potential politician, commit an offence if you omit to act on receiving a complaint about a judge or other public servant, potentially failing to observe a person’s right, obligation or interest?

If not why?

(17) Do you accept responsibility as a lawmaker, or potential lawmaker, to bring an end to the abuse of the NZ Bill of Rights Act by implementing punishment for all of the abusers?

If not why?

(18) Do you accept that a victim of a paid decision, or otherwise a disliking, such victim, could claim under the NZ Bill of Rights Act without having to prove the payment or the disliking?

If not why?

(19) Do you accept as a politician or potential politician of a State Party you should, as recognised in Article 2.2 of the International Covenant (below), instigate the adoption of such law or other measures to give effect to the right to be heard by a competent tribunal as recognised in Article 14.1 as currently New Zealand does not have an have an effective remedy as required by Article 2.3(a)&(b)?

New Zealand is a State Party. – International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights.

Article 2 General comment on its implementation

1. Each State Party to the present Covenant undertakes to respect and to ensure to all individuals within its territory and subject to its jurisdiction the rights recognized in the present Covenant, without distinction of any kind, such as race, colour, sex, language, religion, political or other opinion, national or social origin, property, birth or other status.
2. Where not already provided for by existing legislative or other measures, each State Party to the present Covenant undertakes to take the necessary steps, in accordance with its constitutional processes and with the provisions of the present Covenant, to adopt such laws or other measures as may be necessary to give effect to the rights recognized in the present Covenant.

3. Each State Party to the present Covenant undertakes:

(a) To ensure that any person whose rights or freedoms as herein recognized are violated shall have an effective remedy, notwithstanding that the violation has been committed by persons acting in an official capacity;
(b) To ensure that any person claiming such a remedy shall have his right thereto determined by competent judicial, administrative or legislative authorities, or by any other competent authority provided for by the legal system of the State, and to develop the possibilities of judicial remedy;

Article 14 General comment on its implementation
1. All persons shall be equal before the courts and tribunals. In the determination of any criminal charge against him, or of his rights and obligations in a suit at law, everyone shall be entitled to a fair and public hearing by a competent, independent and impartial tribunal established by law.

well I see Sue Moroneys posters are being attacked, slashed with full and open prejudice.

We can tell this is a very intelligent and purposeful movement happening in hamilton. It is not erratic at all.

Sue Moroney means just as much to hamilton as she does tro her own piako electorate of which she showed the same ignorance. where is Sue Moroney the press wanted to know after she had warmed her seat for two years and not a word from her.

The other Labour candidate is not being victimised at all, so that says a lot.

Tim Wikiriwhi should enjoy a lot of lime light this year after polling so well in the local bodies laast year.

Labour on the other hand was thoroughly trounced and assaulted; Hamilton being the major indicator for the general election.

Does anyone else think that daylight saving is a daft idea and prefer the natural progression of the seasons, as opposed to being wrenched from one season to another when the government thinks that the time is right?

We have had 30 mins daylight saving all year since 1941: that’s why in winter the sun is at it’s highest point at approximately 12:30 pm instead of approximately noon. The one hour is additional.

Which makes sense, as we are not on the 180 meridian.
So, why not another 30 minutes, all year, and settle for that?
BTW, I am not a morning person, but I enjoy a BBQ after work – any time of the year.

The 180 meridian doesn’t come into it: the “correct” time zone is the one where the sun is at its highest point in the sky (local apparent noon) at 12 noon, give or take a few minutes.

The 30 minute day light saving was a war time regulation made to save on fuel consumption: it was made permanent in 1946, which just shows that governments love to make laws and hate to remove them.
