A new way to end an interview

November 10th, 2008 at 4:32 pm by David Farrar

Was on the phone to Radio NZ being as part of The Panel discussion with Jim Mora and Brian Edwards. We were discussing John Key’s options with Maori Party and ACT, then suddenly I heard some bells in the background, and it seems the fire alarm went off at Radio New Zealand.

As they said they had to go, I told them I hoped it was a false alarm!

there will be more than fire bells ringing with that lot of socialists supporters. Time for them to learn theres a new game in town and its all over rover for them.

the new game is called FREEDOM not COMMAND AND CONTROL as practised by Edwards little friend.

Time for the sluice hoses to be applied to the Agean Stables aka Radio NZ

How did the humble, hardworking, honest and competent former member for Tauranga, who’s exhausted all his years of salary on various legal actions, afford the Ring Road mansion in St Mary’s Bay Auckland he’s just purchased? It would seem some sort of retirement fund has been acruing – one with millions of dollars in it.

Mora: Brian, I can’t get Farrar off the phone. He just keeps banging on endlessly and I can’t get him to shut up. I think he’s drunk. What am I going to do? I can’t just hang up or he’ll ring us back.

Edwards: I know Jim, I’ll set off the fire alarm and we can go and stand in the carpark. Just make sure you leave your mobile behind.

    Speaking of ending an interview:

Wouldn’t it have been funny, when Winston was getting ready to deliver his surrender and ordering the media to get back, if they’d all just taken umbrage, switched off the cameras and left? The country already knew he was an irrelevance.

Maybe it was the start of that bonfire of right wing politics Helen was so worried about?
