National MPs blog

National MPs have set up a blog, joining Labour with Red Alert and the Greens with Frog Blog.
As I understand it, the blog is not focused on politics so much as MPs experiences. So you’ve got Eric Roy talking about water for Southland, Hekia Parata on Armistice Day and Simon Bridges gets to talk about “Hot Milk” Lingerie!

Wow, they really went all out coming up with a catchy name for that blog, didn’t they?
Oh wait, they were probably too busy working out better ways to ream me out of my hard earned money ah la ETS.
Should have called the blog ‘Arseholes saying one thing and doing something else.co.nz’ or maybe ‘We’re a bunch of friggin idiots but not as bad as Labour were .co.nz.
Those long web names are really coming into fashion, it’s a carbon thing.
Speaking of carbon – how much have you chewed up in the last couple of months DPF? Shouldn’t you be doing your bit by holidaying in, I dunno, Levin?
As my family of 5 stare at…. a what?…….. $150.00 per week, at least, rise in costs for no discernible return except Nick Smith being able to strut around the place like the cock of the roost, crowing something that sounds remarkably like ” win win”, the only place we’ll be able to holiday in the foreseeable future is Levin. Thanks National / MP.

Maybe Nick Smith can talk about ACC, or does he not know he is Minister?

Meet Your MP? Was thought up by the same people whocame up with the new ‘improved’ ETS scam? Hardly a winner. How about “True Blue” with sub name “Except when it is politically expedient to be Red”

“As I understand it, the blog is not focused on politics so much as MPs experiences.”
Ha ha ha ha ha!!!
Read as “have been instructed not to talk about anything controversial”.
(Politics is too icky for mps, best leave that stuff to the experts. All nat backbenchers please hand in your essay titled “what I did in my summer holiday” by the end of the week, including snapshots. Like dpf does. The usual fill-in-the-blanks form essays will be available but this time DON’T FORGET TO FILL IN THE BLANKS!)
Be serious mate, there’s no way this was an initiative by mps, this is straight from the marketing dept.

God forbid they would actually engage with the public.
One thing I give Mallard credit for.
He’s not scared to have a go.

This may stop people claiming that Kiwibog is the National Party (virtually) Official Blog

No comments yet…all in moderation? Note that Trev Mallard has posted (not visible yet) asking if the MPs actually wrote the posts themselves. Good question…

I have to say, that is the most boring website I’ve ever seen.
You can actually smell mothballs when you visit. Is that a Web 2.0/javascript trick?

Crap web site, lousy blogs – at least Red Alert says something even if you disagree with it. National does not seem to realy understand the medium.
Doubt if I will bother to visit regularly, not even worth putting on my blogroll
