And the winner is …
March 11th, 2010 at 8:48 pm by David FarrarJust been told that Monteiths are giving away a free case of (24 stubbies) beer to the best commenters on blogs in the Ffunnell advertising network, that contribute to their Worth Talking Over site.
Their site grabs contributions from the various blogs, and puts them into speech bubbles, as a way of highlighting the debates. The site is very well done – in fact it pulls contents from blogs. from Twitter and even the old Usenet groups.
Anyway what it means is I get to pick a commenter who will get two dozen stubbies as a prize. Sadly I can not pick myself
If Expat can send me by e-mail their name, address, phone and a statement they are aged over 18 (this is a legal requirement), then they will get a pleasant delivery in a few days.

I have a secret and after 2 dozen bottles of “Monteiths, New Zealands’ premier boutique ale”, I may reveal all.

Now that was smart DPF to isolate and name someone among your competive blog writers..
Vote:you know many will now throw their toy’s out of the cot.. thinking they should be the one..

@expat: I enjoyed many of your comments on DPF’s “No no no no” post. Highly amusing. Congratulations on your win.

Thanks Jive. I must say that I was simply bouncing off the comments made by yourself, richprick and bananallama.

Now, if you’d picked F E Smith, you’d have gotten to find out who they are…
[DPF: I considered that, but I think FE values hs privacy more than he does two dozen beer!]

Graeme, I resent the implication that I am not a shameless beer whore.

Fantastic, an advertisement from a company that takes my comments (no problem with that) sold by Ffunnell who won’t let me join the Funnell network despite it is built for bloggers because c**ts at Public Address, yes Russell I mean you, and felchers at Scoop have vetoed my joining, though the The Standard are perfectly acceptable. I can’t even join by signing up with FFunnell direct instead of the circle formers at Scoop.
Well I’m almost tempted to tell monteiths to shove it up their arse. I posted this so you can all know just what sort of folk David is consorting with by letting them run his ads. Their stock in trade is pontificating hypocrisy.

And the truly ironic thing is is that Monteiths and Ffunnell are using my comments to make or sell product and I cannot realise any of that revenue my self when the content was mine in the first place. Meanwhile Scoop and The Standard and David and all the other pinkos are not able to make money off my comments.
The only thing positive is that maybe someone will press the liink to my site, and the links from monteiths site. But that’s it.
And here was me thinking that Scoop and Public Address were dead against copyright theft? Silly me.

WOBH, how about adding a congrats to expat in his win?
Vote:I think the majority know you could have easily had a 12 pack if you were able to – seems a bit stink to let a newspaper join but not you…
I am am interested in this stuff you are telling as well though- perhaps an extended blog posting or link to a previous one please?

I’ve just checked out the site and I can’t for the life of me see the point of it. It takes a single comment and wraps a speech bubble graphic around the words. The bubble doesn’t “point” to anything. It isn’t real quick. I’m struggling, but I can’t think of a single reason why I’d ever want to visit the site again.
Am I missing something, or has this beer company developed the most pointless site on the Internet?

I’m boycotting monteiths for ya Whale. I’ll just stick to Becks, they don’t have to run promotions to get me to drink their beer.

Hey Monteiths, here’s a question – when are you going to drop your ridiculous trademark on radler? It’s a style of beer, you morons. It’s like trying to own the word ‘lager’.
