When will Little give up the three hats?

February 1st, 2011 at 12:00 pm by David Farrar

Andrew Little has said he will give up in election year two of his three hats – EPMU National Secretary and Labour Party President, to focus on becoming Leader an MP.

Now we are in election year, the question is when will this happen? Labour supported legislation saying all of election year counts as part of an election campaign, so presumably they’ll apply this to themselves.

Whoa – you really don’t like Little hey DPF. He’s gonna make Key look like a scared wee girl one day. Guess you know this.

[DPF: On the contrary I hold Andrew in high esteem. And yes I do think he will be a more formidable Labour Party Leader]

    Stephen

That will be his fourth job no doubt. Intellectually Key smokes him, poor Andrew is a humourless control freak with the personality of a boil, trotting out the party dogma, nothing original no change

People keep underestimating Key, which is a a mistake – just because he is successful , likes attractive women ,has a happy marriage to a woman ( I dont believe Bronagh has been sent home from an overseas trip yet either!!!!)does not make him shallow or lightweight.

Little will hang on to his incomes until he is dragged from the building, his finger nails embedded in the door jamb, he’s a trougher remember

I always suspected sarcasm was DPF’s strong point. :D

The timing will be about money and when he can afford to give up both his salary for EPMU President and Labour Party President. But that will not be the excuse he gives the public.

Pauleastbay You are right about people underestimating John Key. It suits the left to portray him as a smiling lightweight or a venal money trader, forgetting he rose to become a global manager in a fiercely competitive world and came home with $50 million in the bank. Not bad for a state house boy from Bryndwr. No-one in parliament can match him for success in the big wide world so, to preserve their own tiny egos, they have to try to pull him down. Mainly a male thing, for whatever reason.
As PM he has shown us he means what he says, he explains fully when he changes tack, he wears his power lightly unlike the grim-faced contol freaks of the left and NZers like his style.
In my experience, men who have already proved themselves are always far more congenial than those still struggling desperately to the top – or those who have tried and dismally failed.

Totally agree BeaB, John Key is a star and the Labour Party just cannot “get” someone who is a success. They are all about failure and getting the state to indemnify that failure. They get political support by offering the indemnity and they hate yes hate success.

tvb: Such reductionist characterisations make you look silly i hope you know.

David – why do you hold him in high esteem? Does he support gutting the public sector, and delivering the booty to the people who comprise the rich-list? Enlighten me please.

Key may have just blown some old republican banker to get that position for all we know. The New York occult-banking circuit is so opaque, sick and corrupt that it wouldn’t surprise me at all.

    [DPF: 10 demerits]

For sure, it ‘s not a good thing that he was so successful in such a perverse world.

What a sad individual you are, when the going gets bit tough and no other dork jumps with you you post comments like that above , anyway better than yesterday when you made up a whole paragraph supposedly from a book by David Rockefeller.

The above just shows you’re stupid not conniving

I would say that head to head in a Leaders debate, Key will thrash Little (he did it to Cullen when Finance spokesman and Clark as opposition leader).
One thing I note about people like Little and Harawira (Clark also) is that smiling is not a strong point.
