Who will win this match?

August 17th, 2012 at 11:00 am by David Farrar

Stuff reports:

A broadcast media team will square off tomorrow against a parliamentary side in a fundraiser for St John Ambulance Service.

The media team includes former All Black Glen Osborne, former MP John Tamihere, TVNZ’s Scotty Morrison and Monty Betham and Nate Nauer from MAI FM. Radio Live’s Willie Jackson is team manager.

On the other side are MPs Shane Jones, Chester Borrows, Paul Goldsmith, Brendan Horan and Alfred Ngaro. , and parliamentary rugby team adviser Winston Peters will provide the glamour.

Hmmn who will win – the team with a former All Black who played in 21 test matches, or the team with Jacinda and Nikki in it? :-)

Anyone know where the game is?

I think the game is being played at the Orakei Domain, behind Okahu Bay, in Auckland.
I am not aware of the timings though.
I think the ground is a bit puggy so it could degenerate to mud wrestling.

Whaaaat? The Stuff reporter must be hallucinating. Peters’ face has more wrinkles than an elephant’s arse. Will Stuff’s next suggestion be that Andrew Williams is arranging the oranges for half time and the lemonade for after match drinks?

I hope nikki and jascinda can focus on the rugby and nOt use the opportunity to square off with one another. So far as Peters is concerned I hope they can remove any mirrors if they want him to focus on the game.

I see Nikki as strong 2nd/5 and would play Jacinda at full back.

Now that Peters has lost pace, I’d shift him from number 8 to hooker.

Let Jacinda & Nikki have their own part of the field to play in…. the muddiest part.

I thought they were being supporters, not actually playing?

Who would win a street fight between Peters and Mallard?

+1. I’ll forgive the fact that a certain Scorpions track is going to be stuck in my head all day for that.

I take it that Gareth Hughes has retired after having his nose broken in his last game .. not sure why a gween would waste their time playing games with so much serious shit to be done

Im aghast that Paul Goldsmith is part of this, and I assure that he should be withdrawn, and sent to some Pakistani Criket Team.

Matchfixing and playing to lose is not on..its just not fucking cool

Rest assured, at least Jacinda and Niiki will be playing to win…sport isnt that great when you have a team member not trying and doing everything in his capacity to lose.

I suggest before the game they both smack him in the face, theres no point trying to kick him in the balls

Sad when you read the blog at this time and find out Longknives got his head chopped off. Must have been a bad boy.
Care to paraphrase Longknives, or anyone?

Hmm. I saw what Longknives said, and it must have been a very in joke / comment that I didn’t know. Cause it meant nothing to me and I don’t see why it would be censored. Also unusual for it to entirely disappear rather than have a comment on it from DPF. Got me beat.

I saw comment from Longknives, it was the most sensible (and funniest) thing he has ever written.

Odd that its been twinked out!
