Wednesday Wallpaper | A Paddock & Some Clouds….

Dramatic clouds over a summer field, somewhere near Moeraki, South Island New Zealand. Landscape photography by Todd Sisson
Welcome to the inaugural Wednesday Wallpaper US election special. What is the tenuous link between this image and today’s nail-shredding political deathmatch? Like me while shooting this image, it will come down to the wire. Sorry about that one – very ‘borderline’…..

Lovely! I like the way the lines in the fence, grass and sky all lead you to the horizon. It has that incomparable rural South Island feel.

Awesome photos, but what have you got that I can use for a Retina Macbook Pro? 2880×1800. Would love to advertise these photographers on my laptop…

I really like this shot, some HDR stuff looks too over done, but this is absolutely spot on.
Really nice capture.
I’m inspired now, I’ll be heading out with my Nikon and 16-85vr this evening!

None of Todd’s shots are HDR. See http://www.sisson.co.nz/New-Zealand-landscape-photography-blog/photographic+philosophy+and+technique/HDR.html
This makes them more impressive imho.

Thanks for that link, very interesting.
Are these shots really all taken with a 12mp Nikon D2x? I am impressed if they are, I was expecting one of the expensive full frame Nikon models.

I don’t know what that one was taken with, but he uses a D800E nowadays. Also he’s got some really nice lenses.
