Richard Prosser’s insulting if Muslims has receive plenty of attention, but beneath the radar was his attack on New Zealand, on one of the essences of Kiwi.
We are a diverse and multicultural society. They are not evil things.
Prosser talked of an ‘enemy within’, an enemy that has already won.
One of the enemies within New Zealand is intolerance of differences, where some from within are intent on insulting and isolating and ostracising and rejecting fellow Kiwis because they are different to themselves.
Prosser’s final column comment is right. We can do better than this.
Latest Roy Morgan is not good news: http://www.roymorgan.com/news/polls/2013/4865/
‘If a National Election were held today this New Zealand Roy Morgan Poll shows that Labour and the Greens with some minor Party support would win the Election.’
IMHO this will be the result 2014, the Venusvela of the South Pacific.
Its the biggest load of rubbish yet from James Taylor
As you nutters dont actually read the links in the crap you post I will enjoy picking the dribble to pieces with reference to the actual paper once I finish work
As the cloud of righteous smug over MP Prosser’s anti-Muslim rant slowly dissipates, it is interesting to note the involvement of the Race Relations Commission.
Joris de Bres, Race Relations Commissioner, says the commission has received six complaints about the Prosser column.
It would be nice if de Bres would clear up what he is doing over what is a matter of religion rather than race. I don’t see “religion” in the Human rights Act section where the functions of the Race Relations Commissioner are listed. Perhaps some legal lurker on Kiwiblog can help?
Also given the continuing and international confusion about the concept of “race”, perhaps it’s time de Bres cleared what concepts and definitions the Race Relations Commission uses. DNA? Skin colour? Geographic origin? Perhaps something as nebulous as if you feel you are some “race” you are of that “race”. This relates to the question of whether a person can discriminate against a person on the ground they are of a particular race or not of a particular race, when the ground does not in fact apply.
Would it be racist as well as dangerous to call someone like Mike Tyson an “XXXXXX whitey”?
It’s also interesting the term “hate speech” has arisen again, this time from the Greens. IMHO anti-hate speech legislation is worse than the evil it’s designed to end. Freedom of speech is one core right I think we should be ready to get out and fight to the death for.
I don’t think it would be right for a person of de Bres’ far-left background to police such censorship.
The latest Roy Morgan is just one poll half way through a term, showing a bit of bouncing coming into a new year. It’s of interest but nothing to get desperate about. I’ve seen bloggers franticaly analysing scenarios ‘if an election was held today’. That’s pointless, if an election were held today people would think differently.
The trends as they happen in twenty months time are what will be important.
It wasn’t just an anti-Muslim rant by Prosser, it was an anti-Kiwi rant as well. He wrote about ‘the enemy within’ – I think he is one of those enemies within.
To me this says that the enemy is not merely at the departure gates; but that he – and she – is already within, that excessive tolerance, coupled with the twin evils of diversity and multiculturalism upheld and promoted by polituical correctness and other weaknesses of spirit and nationalism, mean that the citadel has already been breached, and that the terrorists have already won.
Intolerance and attempting to impose a mythical single culture are far closer to evil than our embedded Kiwi multiculturalism.
It’s an interesting proposition, the living wage. It assumes everyone who is poor has two kids and lives in a three bedroom house, when this quite clearly isn’t the case, just as not everyone is struggling to get along under the $19 living wage threshold.
But, for arguments sake, lets have a look at the practical side of achieving it. The only way the living wage will ever become reality is with some big taxation changes that tax higher company profits at a higher rate and lower company profits at a lower rate, with the goal of lowing taxes on basic living expenses to ‘reduce’ the living wage calculation down from $19 to a new, affordable, minimum wage.
Why will this actually make the living wage possible. Because it will allow businesses that are marginally profitable to compete against businesses that are massively profitable when it comes to paying wages…. The well informed pundits are correct in that raising the minimum wage to $19 will kill all the small businesses that are only just surviving at present. So it is in the governments best interests to attack the cost of living with all their might to try and fend of this socialist revolution that is surely growing by the day….
There are two ways to enact an incremental tax rate.
1. The more profit a company earns, in basic dollar terms, the higher tax bracket they slot into. So if a company earns $100 thousand in profit they pay the low company tax rate and if another earns $100 million in profit they pay the high company tax rate… Not my favorite system.
2. The higher the percentage of profits-after-expenses a company earns, regardless of whether they are big or small, the higher percentage of tax they pay on their extra profit percentages…
So, for example 2, if company A earns 1 million dollars gross and pays 900 thousand in expenses they fall into tax bracket one and pay 15% (for examples sake) on their $100 thousand profit, while company B that also earns $1 million gross but only pays $600 thousand in expenses falls into tax bracket four and pays 30% (for examples sake) on their $400 thousand profit, in a graduated system of 15% for the first 10% of net-before-tax income, 25% for the next 10% of net-before-tax income, 35% for the next 10% of net-before-tax income and 45% for the next 10% of net-before-tax income. This exact same ratio would apply to companies earning $billions and $thousands as well…
In my opinion it should allow start up companies, with limited profits, to remain competitive while established companies, that are making huge profits, can be taxed at maximum rates. It also incentivises companies that are making huge profits to give pay rises as they are only paying 55 cents in the dollar for pay increases if they are earning in the fourth percentile.
Then the extra tax taken into the government from the mega earners can be used to lower tax on basic essential goods such as cheese and meat, power and water, subsidized public transport etc etc…
PS: If the cost of living comes down then everybody has more money to spend on other consumer items and the consumer economy gets a big boost so everybody wins in one way or another…
PS2: The billionaires of this world, who are paying more tax under a graduated tax system, are earning less but are still winning because they still earn 100s of millions of dollars every year after tax… If that’s not winning then I don’t know what is… Enough of the extremism already…
We are going to get a Labor government at some point, and when we do they are going to raise taxes. I think we really want this new tax system firmly in place when they do… Otherwise they will come up with some horrid communist system aimed at punishing all who excel… Arrr
All you have to do is take a good look at England so as to appreciate the Enemy Within. That country is screwed and thats due to letting too many imigrants in WHO WILL NOT ASSIMILATE. They want to bring with them the awful lifestyle that they ran away from.
Next time you go thru an airport – just look at all the millions being spent on so called security – and then ask yourself why are we doing this?
the answer – is all because of a bunch of muslims who believe such things there are waiting for them a bunch og virgins in heaven…….. go figure.
Prosser is simply saying what everyone thinks as they get searched at the airport.
And honestly…. who wants virgins in heaven? Virgins are useless…. you want some sheilas who have the know-how to seriously ring your bell…. ding ding-a-ding ding your dong. Shit it’s only 9:10am. Cancel that last naughtiness.
The Xtra hackers are at it again using the email addresses they nicked. A friend of mine is allegedly taken a brief holiday in the Phillipines, got mugged, and urgently needs some money sent to them. Ha!
Turei was on RNZ saying there was no “place for racism”. Since when was Islam a race?
Pete George ; we are not multicultural. Tolerance of differences has never extended to tolerating the intolerant.
“Tolerance of difference” is fine within a pluralist system where the ground rules are shared by the vast majority etc
However once you import large numbers of intolerant ,fundamentalists who have no history or tradition within ones ‘ and claiming multiculturalism and tolerance you are in for a whole heap of trouble.
Look at tolerant ,easy going Holland and all the strife Muslim immigration has brought the Dutch.
Its the immigrants from the old empire (before the poms realised that theyd fucked up by issuing so many passports)
Pakistanis and indians, parts of the arab world – aden, somalaia and the Sudan. These are the places where all the trouble makers come from – and some of the worst of them are now happily living in the UK on a UK passport.
Those are some of the wogs that prosser was refering to. I certainly wouldnt want them living next to me.
Mr Prosser’s argument does not withstand a moment’s scrutiny. At different times in human history, different groups of different ethnicity have misguidedly concluded that the only cure for their woes is to engage in mindless bursts of killing.
They are not distinguishable by the colour of their skin or their religion, but by their fanaticism and intolerance of other ways of life and points of view.
Mr Prosser knows that. He is not an idiot, as his belated apology shows. He understands it is not fair, practical or logical to penalise all Muslims for the sins of a few. He just chooses to pretend he does not for the sake of pandering to the simple-minded who think good and bad are only skin-deep.
Mr Prosser’s cynical scapegoating of a religious minority runs counter to the New Zealand ethos of fairness and tolerance. He is not a fit representative of either the community or the country.
Further to Kowtow’s mentioning of Holland The Netherlands…
My parents were (now both deceased) both Dutch nationals, growing up in Arnhem and den Bosch. They were in their teens during WW2 and suffered the occupation by the Germans, having their family homes and businesses confiscated. After the war my parents emigrated here, settled and raised a family.
In between child 2 and 3, the then narrow-minded government of the time told my father that he could not progress in his career here unless he was a NZ citizen, so he naturalised. A consequence of this is that he was required to give up his Dutch nationality. The Netherlands would not (then) allow one of their citizens to hold dual nationality.
I am child number 4. As a consequence of those narrow minded politicians of both New Zealand and The Netherlands, I do not have the ability to obtain a Dutch passport, cannot stay there for more than 3 months, cannot work there, cannot go back and engross myself in my own history. Me, from natural born, full-blooded Dutch parents.
Yet hordes of useless immigrants can stand around on street corners doing nothing, smoking pot and causing trouble with more rights than I have.
The Netherlands has changed those nationality rules now but still consider my father has having chosen freely to renounce his Dutch nationality even though he had to do it, and would not have if circumstances were as they are now.
Front Page mag reviews Obama’s State of the Union address –
The obscene performance began with a celebration of an economic recovery that exists only in Washington, D.C., which has grown fat on the money that its corrupt political interests have stolen from the rest of the country, and ended by comparing a woman waiting in line to vote for him with a police officer who risked his life to stop a mad gunman.
And in between these two cynical and ugly bookends was a dog’s dinner of out of control spending, class warfare and more bad ideas than even Castro could have come up with in seven hours.
As out of touch with the rest of the country as if he were speaking at the Karl Marx Theater in Havana, Obama claimed that spending was under control, the national debt was no longer a problem, the war in Afghanistan had been won, the economic recovery was here, unemployment was fading and Al Qaeda was a shadow of its former self.
Obama described the “sequester” that he had come up with as “a really bad idea” and blamed it on Congress. He took credit for the oil production that he had fought every step of the way and blamed Hurricane Sandy on global warming; a claim that even few global warming researchers are willing to make.
There were more calls to fix all those broken bridges, which he had somehow been unable to fix for four years, despite running trillion dollar deficits. And finally a proposal to really help the economy take off by legalizing 11 million illegal aliens and thereby doubling the unemployment rate in a single year.
Any Diogenes in the audience taking it upon himself to shout “liar” at every lie would have worn out his vocal chords in a matter of minutes.
Like most bad speakers, Obama has been reduced to relying on props. And since he isn’t allowed to bring a slideshow, the props are his designated victims.
rouppe, I commented the other day that Holland is abandoning multiculturalism. A good thing, too –
The Dutch government says it will abandon the long-standing model of multiculturalism that has encouraged Muslim immigrants to create a parallel society within the Netherlands.
A new integration bill (covering letter and 15-page action plan), which Dutch Interior Minister Piet Hein Donner presented to parliament on June 16, reads: “The government shares the social dissatisfaction over the multicultural society model and plans to shift priority to the values of the Dutch people. In the new integration system, the values of the Dutch society play a central role. With this change, the government steps away from the model of a multicultural society.”
via Stuff “Dr Choudhary is reported as saying that he had all respect for the Christian faith, but society had moved on and that other religious and ethnic groups might oppose the presence of the cross in the city centre”

Next question,if other religious and ethnic groups have moved on…why be offended or oppose a cross…its been there a while.

Or like the new $100,000 Muslim prayer room in a Canadian University.
CAIRO – Enjoying a welcoming atmosphere, Muslim students at a Canadian university are celebrating the opening of a new prayer room to fulfil their religious duties.
“It’s beautiful,” Hasna Egal, a fourth-year neuroscience student, told university newspaper The Varsity on Monday, February 11.
“The Muslim prayer space is welcoming, clean and very quiet.”
A new prayer room was opened at Emmanuel College in Toronto last month to help Muslim students perform their prayers.
“I think it’s going really well,” said Amjad Tarsin, the first Muslim chaplain at the University of Toronto.
“The space is very beautiful. The whole space fills up every prayer time, but what’s also really cool is that you can find people studying there and using it as a hangout space.”
The new prayer space has cost $25,000, which was shared by the Canadian Jaffari Muslim Foundation, the Islamic Foundation of Toronto, the Islamic Institute of Toronto, the Muslim Chaplaincy, and the Muslim Students Association at University of Toronto.
The cost of the $75,000 ablutions facility was shared by Emmanuel College and Victoria College.

I thought you were all about property rights? But you appear to be a raving socialist who seems to believe that the lake is public property to be used for the good of the community. When did you become so red?
New Zealand First MP Richard Prosser has, appropriately, prompted widespread outrage for inflammatory comments about young Muslim men.
While Mr Prosser yesterday ”apologised unreservedly”, it was only after the storm of disapproval had burst and showed no sign of abating. The uproar was such that his very position as an MP has been looking shaky, and there is no shortage of calls for him to resign. Meanwhile, the earlier equivocation of his party leader, Winston Peters, also disturbs. Mr Peters first condemned Mr Prosser’s comment, and then backed off somewhat. Given Mr Peters’ history of appealing to prejudice, this reaction does him no credit.
Mr Prosser’s comments were not simply highly provocative but also ignorant and plain wrong.
Mr Prosser’s article, apparently sparked after a pocket knife was taken from him at an airport, did canvass the legitimate issue of profiling at airports while spinning off into what he now admits was a ”rant”.
He now also accepts that what he could say as an individual is unacceptable as a MP. It was this status that made the comments take off around international media. Here was a country’s lawmaker slandering Muslims en masse. As an MP he does have special responsibilities and, hopefully, as he said, ”perhaps this is a catalyst for me”.
Challenging issues about immigration, race and religion will need to be debated in this country, and sometimes sensitivities will be aroused. To cry ”racist” or personally denigrate those with opposing views can be unhelpful and unfair.
Nevertheless, vehement reactions are justified when an MP, in the cold light of print, inflames with such blatant ignorance and prejudice.
kowtow (3,686) Says:

Tolerance of differences has never extended to tolerating the intolerant.
Agreed. But being a “Muslim” does not imply intolerance and even more so if one merely “looks like” a Muslim. There are plenty of Muslims who have not displayed intolerance towards me, nor have they harmed me in any way. Some (or even many) may advocate for restrictions on free speech but apparently so do the Greens.
Whatever the harm that may result from importing large numbers of migrants from countries that do not share similar cultural norms, once they are here there appears to me no justification for treating New Zealanders differently from one another based on their religious affiliation or where they come from.
Besides it is rich for someone like yourself to criticize Muslims. If given the chance you’d be just as keen to outlaw homosexuality and sodomy and have the government endorse and promote your “one true god”. The real reason conservative Christians don’t like Muslims is that they hate the competition. Not enough room for two competing factions of fundamentalist nut-jobs.

To own Lake Taupo is like you or anyone else owning Mt Everest: an absurdity.
Why is it an absurdity other than you declare it to be so? If people can own land why can they not own water? Or Mountains? Indeed a mountain IS land. How do you know when land can and cannot be owned? Is it the steepness of the slope it is on?
Manolo (9,022) Says:

You can own whatever you want on your own land, not by artificially created “arrangements”, read concessions.
Ownership of property is inherently a social “arrangement”. You simply favour one arrangement over another. Not to mention the fact that the statement “you can own whatever you… own…” is a ridiculously redundant statement.
And today the Church celebrates the Feast Day of Saint Valentine, who stood up for the ideals of Christian marriage in the midst of a permissive society where polygamy was popular.
“He was a Roman Priest at a time when there was an emperor called Claudias who persecuted the church at that particular time,” Father O’Gara explains. ” He also had an edict that prohibited the marriage of young people. This was based on the hypothesis that unmarried soldiers fought better than married soldiers because married soldiers might be afraid of what might happen to them or their wives or families if they died.”
“I think we must bear in mind that it was a very permissive society in which Valentine lived,” says Father O’Gara. “Polygamy would have been much more popular than just one woman and one man living together. And yet some of them seemed to be attracted to Christian faith. But obviously the church thought that marriage was very sacred between one man and one woman for their life and that it was to be encouraged. And so it immediately presented the problem to the Christian church of what to do about this.”
“The idea of encouraging them to marry within the Christian church was what Valentine was about. And he secretly married them because of the edict.”
Valentine was eventually caught, imprisoned and tortured for performing marriage ceremonies against command of Emperor Claudius the second. There are legends surrounding Valentine’s actions while in prison.
“One of the men who was to judge him in line with the Roman law at the time was a man called Asterius, who’s daughter was blind. He was supposed to have prayed with and healed the young girl with such astonishing effect that Asterius himself became Christian as a result.”
In the year 269 AD, Valentine was sentenced to a three part execution of a beating, stoning, and finally decapitation all because of his stand for Christian marriage. The story goes that the last words he wrote were in a note to Asterius’ daughter. He inspired today’s romantic missives by signing it, “from your Valentine.”
“What Valentine means to me as a priest,” explains Father O’Gara, “is that there comes a time where you have to lay your life upon the line for what you believe. And with the power of the Holy Spirit we can do that — even to the point of death.”
Sounds a bit like today’s society and the push for gay marriage and who knows what else. So today, we celebrate a man who stood for traditional marriage, to the point of dying for it. That’s the REAL story of St Valentine’s Day.
PG lists various invaders of Britain in his attempt to apologise for Muslim immigation and defense of multiculturalism.
They were invaders who were resisted militarily by the occupants. And it took hundreds of years for the integration to take place. Those invasionswere also at a time when tribalism was predominant. The nation state did not exist as it does today, with a general acceptance of what the nation and it’s citizens and its values are.
That’s the point of multiculturalism,to destroy the generally accepted view of the nation and replace it with ,what? Muslim immigrants, who don’t subscribe to multiculturalism.
Sounds a bit like today’s society and the push for gay marriage and who knows what else. So today, we celebrate a man who stood for traditional marriage, to the point of dying for it. That’s the REAL story of St Valentine’s Day.
Actually that’s more legend than fact, but never mind.
Besides, wouldn’t gay marriage be very much in the tradition of St Valentine, preforming marriages in the name of love and in defiance of old, outdated and nonsensical decree against them?

Climate Scientists Predicts a ‘Mini Ice Age’ in the Future Amid Evidence Of Sun’s Diminishing Acitivity
Experts at NASA and the University of Arizona analyzed data derived from magnetic-field measurements 120,000 miles beneath the sun’s surface and concluded that Cycle 25, whose peak is due in 2022, will be a great deal weaker still.
According to climate scientists, after emitting unusually high levels of energy throughout the 20th Century, the sun is now heading towards a “grand minimum” in its output, threatening cold summers, bitter winters and a shortening of the season available for growing food.
Data issued recently by the Met Office and the University of East Anglia Climatic Research Unit confirmed that the rising trend in world temperatures ended in 1997.

It is indicative of the hold this cult has on its followers. I agree with Griff on pretty much every other topic. He is a smart guy and even had me wondering if AGW was for real, given his sound thinking on so many other topics. So I checked again. It is not.
The idea that there could be airline safety by profiling the passengers is farsi’cal – has anyone heard of disguise – use of make-up, false passports. It simply offers an opening for terrorists to exploit and is why airline security is as it is – and presumably licence to staff to decide whom to search is limited to reduce human error. Prosser is no more an expert on airline safety than he is on diplomacy and inter-group community relations.
The idea that Indian Hindu “wogs” should be profiled for simply looking like south Asian Moslem “wogs’ is also farsi’cal.
Prosser’s approach would just make European looking Moslem sleepers (converted and radicalised by “wog” swallow handlers) the most dangerous.
PS swallow is slang for a female agent (Mossad used to be renowned for this more lately South Koreans).
1. the recent decline in sun spot cycle activity may have had an impact on global temperature.
2. but the rising trend of some decades has periods of flat-lining before the rising trend resumed.
3. there could well be a period of decline in sun spot activity – there was one for 50 years in the early 17th C.
4. or there could simply be a flat-lining in the once rising trend of increasing sun spot activity
5. can AGW alone force a temperature rise if sun spot activity remains constant?
6. the answer is probably yes, but we have no way of predicting how much as the rising temps of past decades came with rising sun spot activity.
7. is the rising temp power of AGW greater than a cooling from a decline in sun spot activity? That sort of question depends on how long sun spot activity was in decline.
The worst thing would be increasing sun spot activity with more extreme AGW forcing than we have now. Worst as in the cost of managing the impact of the change on the global economy – some areas would net benefit while the rest of the world was worse off.

Reviews on the climate gate e mails.
House of Commons Science and Technology Committee
On 22 January 2010, the House of Commons Science and Technology Select Committee announced it would conduct an inquiry into the affair, examining the implications of the disclosure for the integrity of scientific research, reviewing the scope of the independent Muir Russell review announced by the UEA, and reviewing the independence of international climate data sets. The committee invited written submissions from interested parties, and published 55 submissions that it had received by 10 February.
Willis commented that “[Jones] probably wishes that emails were never invented,” but “apart from that we do believe that Prof. Jones has in many ways been scapegoated as a result of what really was a frustration on his part that people were asking for information purely to undermine his research.”In Willis’ view this did not excuse any failure to deal properly with FOI Act requests, but the committee accepted that Jones had released all the data that he could. It stated: “There is no reason why Professor Jones should not resume his post. He was certainly not co-operative with those seeking to get data, but that was true of all the climate scientists
Independent Science Assessment Panel
The report of the independent Science Assessment Panel was published on 14 April 2010 and concluded that the panel had seen “no evidence of any deliberate scientific malpractice in any of the work of the Climatic Research Unit.” It found that the CRU’s work had been “carried out with integrity” and had used “fair and satisfactory” methods. The CRU was found to be “objective and dispassionate in their view of the data and their results, and there was no hint of tailoring results to a particular agenda.” Instead, “their sole aim was to establish as robust a record of temperatures in recent centuries as possible.”
Pennsylvania State University
announced in December 2009 it would review the work of Michael Mann, in particular looking at anything that had not already been addressed in an earlier review by the National Research Council of the National Academy of Sciences which had found some faults with his methodology but agreed with the results. In response, Mann said he would welcome the review. The inquiry committee determined on 3 February 2010 that there was no credible evidence Mann suppressed or falsified data, destroyed emails, information and/or data related to the IPCC Fourth Assessment Report, or misused privileged or confidential information.
The second Investigatory Committee reported on 4 June 2010 that it had “determined that Dr. Michael E. Mann did not engage in, nor did he participate in, directly or indirectly, any actions that seriously deviated from accepted practices within the academic community.” Regarding his sharing unpublished manuscripts with colleagues on the assumption of implied consent, it considered such sharing to be “careless and inappropriate” without following the best practice of getting express consent from the authors in advance, though expert opinion on this varied. It said that his success in proposing research and obtaining funding for it, commenting that this “clearly places Dr. Mann among the most respected scientists in his field. Such success would not have been possible had he not met or exceeded the highest standards of his profession for proposing research.” Mann’s extensive recognitions within the research community demonstrated that “his scientific work, especially the conduct of his research, has from the beginning of his career been judged to be outstanding by a broad spectrum of scientists.” It agreed unanimously that “there is no substance” to the allegations against Mann.
Independent Climate Change Email Review
First announced in December 2009, a British investigation commissioned by the UEA and chaired by Sir Muir Russell, published its final report in July 2010. The commission cleared the scientists and dismissed allegations that they manipulated their data. The “rigour and honesty” of the scientists at the Climatic Research Unit were found not to be in doubt. The panel found that they did not subvert the peer review process to censor criticism as alleged, and that the key data needed to reproduce their findings was freely available to any “competent” researcher.
The United States Environmental Protection Agency
The EPA issued a detailed report on issues raised by petitioners and responses, together with a fact sheet, and a “myths versus facts” page stating that “Petitioners say that emails disclosed from CRU provide evidence of a conspiracy to manipulate data. The media coverage after the emails were released was based on email statements quoted out of context and on unsubstantiated theories of conspiracy. The CRU emails do not show either that the science is flawed or that the scientific process has been compromised. EPA carefully reviewed the CRU emails and found no indication of improper data manipulation or misrepresentation of results

May 2010 Senator Jim Inhofe requested the Inspector General of the United States Department of Commerce to conduct an independent review of how the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) had dealt with the emails, and whether the emails showed any wrongdoing The report, issued on 18 February 2011[ cleared the researchers and “did not find any evidence that NOAA inappropriately manipulated data or failed to adhere to appropriate peer review procedures”. It noted that NOAA reviewed its climate change data as standard procedure, not in response to the controversy. One email included a cartoon image showing Infofe and others marooned on a melting ice floe
The Office of the Inspector General (OIG) of the National Science Foundation
closed an investigation on 15 August 2011 that exonerated Michael Mann of Pennsylvania State University of charges of scientific misconduct. It found no evidence of research misconduct, and confirmed the results of earlier inquiries. The OIG reviewed the findings of the July 2010 Penn State panel, took further evidence from the university and Mann, and interviewed Mann. The OIP findings confirmed the university panel’s conclusions which cleared Mann of any wrongdoing, and it stated “Lacking any evidence of research misconduct, as defined under the NSF Research Misconduct Regulation, we are closing the investigation with no further action.”
That was not as funny as when you posted the climate scientists using all the denial nutjobs bullshit against them.
That one went over your head
El nino who needs that? Met is giving a fifty percent chance that the present neutral condition will give a new record this year or next.
Over the last 30 years of global warming, the sun has shown a slight cooling trend. Sun and climate are going in opposite directions. This has led a number of scientists independently concluding that the sun cannot be the cause of recent global warming.
One of the most common and persistent climate myths is that the sun is the cause. This argument is made by cherry picking the data – showing past periods when sun and climate move together but ignoring the last few decades when the two diverge. http://www.skepticalscience.com/solar-activity-sunspots-global-warming.htm
Apples belong on trees.
its just a clusterfuck of idiots sold on the idea that having expensive bling is worthwhile.
Why spend $2000 on a apple laptop or a grand on a phone when IBM architecture or Samsung phones provides a better product for half the price.
Its all obsolete in three years anyway.
Dunne’s Multinational Tax Crackdown: The Assault on Privacy and Prosperity.
In the global war being waged by Western Police States on private enterprise and your freedom, New Zealand’s Minister of Taking and Privacy Desecration has wed his knuckle-busters to those of Opposition Revenue Spokesperson David Clark, and announced a war against the consumer via a crackdown on multinationals operating here who are not paying that mythical amount of tax politicians call ‘fair’; the definition of which not one of them can give me – Messrs Dunne and Clark, another chance here: what is a fair amount of tax please?)
In this single stroke, Mr Dunne, and from 2014, Mr Clark, by ensuring these multinationals pay more tax are going to:
Spanish cyclist Jesus Manzano says he was given dog, cattle and horse medicines by Eufemiano Fuentes
Jesús Manzano, the former Spanish cyclist whose near-death experience during the 2003 Tour de France led directly to the Operation Puerto drug raids, has testified how he was given dog, cattle and horse medicines so frequently by Eufemiano Fuentes that the blood doctor told him “some days you are barking and other days you are mooing”.

We will be more focused on feeding the poor bastards than providing them with hydrocarbons.
The ganges waters a large area. At the present rate of decline in the Himalayas glacial ice it will be a seasonally dry river with not enough melt water to irrigate crops when its not monsoon season. By By to a large part of India’s and china’s wheat and rice crops!
Iceland could become the first Western democracy to attempt censorship of the internet under radical proposals to block online pornography.
The government is considering introducing internet filters, such as those used to block China off form the worldwide web, in order to stop Icelanders downloading or viewing pornography on the internet.
The unprecedented censorship is justified by fears about damaging effects of the internet on children and women.
Ogmundur Jonasson, Iceland’s interior minister, is drafting legislation to stop the access of online pornographic images and videos by young people through computers, games consoles and smartphones.
“We have to be able to discuss a ban on violent pornography, which we all agree has a very harmful effects on young people and can have a clear link to incidences of violent crime,” he said.
Methods under consideration include blocking access to pornographic website addresses and making it illegal to use Icelandic credit cards to access pay-per-view pornography.
German Meteorologist Prof. Dr. Horst Malberg has an article posted at the European Institute for Climate and Energy (EIKE) here. He tells us we ought to be preparing for a cooler 21st century first half.
“Global temperature has not risen in 15 years. It has stagnated, and in recent years has even shown a downward trend – despite the massive annual increases in CO2 emissions. (Why hasn’t the public been informed of this by the media?) For the politically motivated IPCC and its followers, it is now time to give up the dogma of CO2′s climate dominance and the marginalization and branding of those who differ with climate science. Just because one belongs to the mainstream does not mean he automatically has a better knowledge of the science.”
Global warming: Anthropogenic or not. An alternative view from a Geologist & environmental scientist:
“The reality is, then, that no scientist on the planet can tell you with credible probability whether the climate in 2030 will be cooler or warmer than today. In such circumstances the only rational conclusion to draw is that we need to be prepared to react to either warming or cooling over the next several decades, depending upon what Nature chooses to serve up to us”
It is not the IPCC fucknuckle
Their job is to gather the science together and produce a report for the governments of the world.
The science is not done by the IPCC It is done by thousands of scientists all around the world in many different disciplines.
Politically scientists are the whole range from commie to libertarian. To label climate science as left or socialist is bullshit. Its a strategy to define the enemy as per propaganda 101 prof J Goebbels
You get labeled a nutter if your critical thinking skills are that pathetic that you can not tell the difference between authoritative voice of science and political or industrial propaganda. When you story’s have distortions or obvious spin. Like fifteen years no warming when it is a bullshit lie. A focus on the short term weather not the climate. Antarctic sea ice and ignore all other large areas of ice in the world. Point to one glacier that expends not the hundreds that are shrinking. Ignore that the temperature is not unseasonal the snow fall is a record and try to conflagrate the two.
So gullible climate nutters an ice cream to forehead moment a day from axenuckle
70 year old woman complaining that something on 7 Shambles was ‘disgusting’. Something about beetroot… you can’t beat a kiwi root.
Ah yeh moron… 70 year olds aren’t the target demographic… duh!! They’re so fucking thick some of these older folks. They come from a time when everyone started a job at 15 and most people didn’t learn jack shit about life and the world at large. Compared to the next generation they’re like dial-up compared to ultra-fast broadband.
Such a difference between one or two generations. Didn’t sound that offensive by my standards. Sounded stupid and retarded but fairly fucking soft. I wonder how 7 Shambles would look if we put the 70 year old woman in charge? Now that would be funny.
One old redneck duck rang in and said that an Auckland murder couldn’t have been committed by a NZder… a NZder wouldn’t do that. Must’ve been a foreigner. Good one idiot. She got cut off quick smart. Who are these losers? No fuckin brains. Ignorant dinosaurs. Defective. Waiting for replacement. The old model. We’re selling them off cheap. Quick, while stocks last.
Fucken hopeless left right and fully anorexic
I know climate change scares those on the right
If it scares you face it not hide like axenuckle KK kea etc.
Its is happening no amount of bullshit blogs are going to change that.

Women who averaged more than 2.5 sexual partners a year in the years leading up to each interview with the researchers were 10 times as likely as women who had only one or no sexual partners a year to be clinically dependent on alcohol or drugs at age 21. They were seven times as likely by age 26 and 17 times as likely by age 32, even after allowing for all other factors in their lives.
