Looks like a great but grim read. Central bankers will be stealing from savers (retiriees etc) who will watch inflation climb. The winners will be the property investors which in NZ will be underpinned by a stifling silence maintained by moving forward multiculturalism and open borders sentiment on the left and their partners in business riding an immigration sugar rush under the guise of need gib stoppers and agglomeration (alleged) benefits.
He says Western countries are failing to grow and I would have thought it is obvious that countries have a certain level of potential?

This is not really something new for Mauldin. He has seen this coming for years. But he has held out hopes that the politicians would come to their senses and end this massive money experiment of creating tonnes of new “money” and credit out of thin air. They haven’t.

I remember reading one of Mauldin’s books about five years ago. It was called Bulls-Eye Investing, or something similar. The last sentence of the book was this:

The Oil Drum site has stalled as the peak oil debate seems to have ground to a stalemate. Like the Austrian economists have been saying for years now, Mauldin sounds like he can finally see the end game of the great monetary experiment by the Central Banks.

When it comes to investing in a debasing fiat currency system, I always come back to the great Austrian Ludwig Von Mises immemorial quote from his book “Human Action”

“The wavelike movement affecting the economic system, the recurrence of periods of boom which are followed by periods of depression, is the unavoidable outcome of the attempts, repeated again and again, to lower the gross market rate of interest by means of credit expansion. There is no means of avoiding the final collapse of a boom brought about by credit expansion. The alternative is only whether the crisis should come sooner as the result of a voluntary abandonment of further credit expansion, or later as a final and total catastrophe of the currency system involved”

Not so sure about Songs for Drella, and The Blue Mask can be very depressing to listen to for any length, but a ground breaker indeed.

Despite the current legislation being a deterent, one wonders what will/would (take your pick) happen if labour and the gweens were to become the government.

Based on past experience (the zhoui case), the liberal/socialist mindset and the ease with which labour and the gweens can overturn pre-existing legislation in this country, does the readership consider that is it highly-probable that any ‘illegals’ will be welcomed with open arms ‘in the name of humanity’ of course?

I could perhaps be wrong, but it seems highly-likely that when a boat full of these people, is sighted off the NZ coat, the MSM will be slavering with excitement and that any of these supposed ‘refugees’ who set foot on NZ soil would be welcomed like conquering hero’s by a swarm of overly-excited (probably young, female) reporters.

Kowtow, it’s interesting that here in Australia every asylum seeker death was blamed by conservatives on either Rudd or Gillard. But when the loss of life continued after the election, Abbott wasn’t held responsible.

Rudd was also blamed for accidental deaths of workers installing roof solar panels under a government subsidised program.

Hypocrisy isn’t limited to any particular ideology, but in this case the right owns it in spades.

Yep ASK and a few others are really bad infections. I use Avast free antivirus, It’s a little resource heavy but it does the job. It has a unlimited amount of addons but i stick with the most popular. Those are Addblock plus =( There are several adblock separate progs available that work in with each other ), ghostery, Noscript.

The rest of the addons are for whatever you like after you learn them, they’re all for free. The one thing one must do is eliminate the popup ads as well as the other stuff that can slow down your browser loading.

If you’re on Mac, well i can’t help you.

A 75-year-old man walked into a crowded waiting room and approached the desk. The Receptionist said, ‘Yes sir, what are you seeing the Doctor for today?’
‘There’s something wrong with my dick’, he replied.
The receptionist became irritated and said, ‘You shouldn’t come into a crowded waiting room and say things like that.’

“I can understand that,” replies her husband, “but remember, if we get a divorce
it will mean no more shopping trips to Paris, no more wintering in Barbados, no
more summers in Tuscany , no more Jaguar in the garage and no more yacht club.
No more credit card and large Bank accounts. But…. The decision is all yours.”

Just then, a mutual friend enters the restaurant with a gorgeous babe on his arm.

“Who’s that woman with Tony?” asks the wife.

“That’s his mistress,” says her husband.
“ours is prettier” says the wife

Everyone was seated around the table as the food was being served. When little Johnny received his plate, he started eating straight away.

“Johnny, wait until we’ve said our prayer,” his mother reminded him.

“I don’t have to.” – the little boy replied.

“Of course you do.” – his mother insisted. “We say a prayer before eating at our house.”

“That’s at our house,” Johnny explained, “but this is Grandma’s house and she knows how to cook.”

Don’t’ Do This!

You wouldn’t do anything as crazy as putting your cell phone in the microwave, would you?

What if someone told you it was a fast and easy way to recharge your device?

That’s the message in an alarming email that’s currently doing the rounds. The “tip” has also been seen on the Tumblr blogging site and a number of other social networks.

It claims your phone will recharge in seconds, adding: “This works because microwaves use the same principle as wireless charging pads, by rearranging the electrons in your (phone’s) battery.

It then purports to link to a (non-existent) research page at Harvard University.

Phooey!

Don’t do it!

Common sense should tell you that not only will this not work, but it’s also highly dangerous.

You’ll fry your phone, possibly damage your microwave irreparably and maybe cause more widespread damage or even personal injury.

The Italian Secret to a Long Marriage

At St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Adelaide , they have weekly husbands’ marriage seminars.

At the session last week, the priest asked Giuseppe, who said he was approaching his 50th wedding anniversary, to take a few minutes and share some insight into how he had managed to stay married to the same woman all these years.

Giuseppe replied to the assembled husbands, ‘Wella, I’va tried to treat her nicea, spenda da money on her, but besta of all is, I tooka her to Italy for the 25th anniversary!’

The priest responded, ‘Giuseppe, you are an amazing inspiration to all the husbands here! Please tell us what you are planning for your wife for your 50th anniversary?’

Giuseppe proudly replied,

” I gonna go pick her up.”

A drunk man who smelled of
beer sat down on a
subway next to a priest.
The man’s
tie was stained, his face was plastered

with red lipstick, and
a half-empty
bottle of gin was sticking out of his

torn coat pocket. He

newspaper and began reading.

The drunk answered, “I don’t have it, Father.
