So does Tamati think David Cunliffe should resign, along with Simon Bridges

June 25th, 2014 at 11:00 am by David Farrar

Labour’s Rotorua candidate led a march against Simon Bridges demanding he resign because he has allowed some prospecting activity in an marine sanctuary.

Now it has transpired that David Cunliffe also has said he is okay with exploration in the marine sanctuary, so long as it is done responsibly, does this mean Tamati thinks Cunliffe should resign also?

Also as the last Labour Government approved 13 wells in the area, is he also saying all former Labour Cabinet Ministers should resign?

They are probably all thinking that, but sadly the environment is such that anyone feeling that way would not feel secure enough to state it. When the ship is on unsteady waters, most tend to stand silently by the lifeboats, hoping that when it goes down they don’t drown. No one is going to speak out and upset the little stability that remains.

Was Lynn Prentice there too? He should march next to Tamati, fellow member of the Rainbow Branch of the Labour Party.

He couldnt give a rats…so long as he gets exposure and into Parliament , I’m alright Jack. Then he gets to push his agenda.
Disgusting unnatural acts with his ‘husband’. Revolting.

    Thats what Tamati Coffees about.

Coffey is Labour’s eager useful idiot.

The lesson here is to never take Cunliffe at his first word on anything. Wait, see which way he changes and then wait some more. Eventually Cunliffe’s position will probably become clear, then act.

It’s the same for voters taking a punt on what Labour’s policies might be.

Simon Bridges would be a lot better Minister if Nick Smith and his Bluegreens faction pissed off. Watermelon white ants.

In ways more perverse than one ,episodes such as this really do highlight the strange ,queer creature that modern Labour has become.

On the one hand they bleat on about their origins from the hard working miners of coal on the rugged west coast and yet today they despise all things truly male , carbon based or environmentally “dangerous”.

Seeing as we can make a reasonably sound assumption into which factions within Labour theses two fall, I think we can safely say the answer is: Yes, yes he should.

You’re such a zealot when it comes to Christians. Ironic really.
Have you ever considered that you’re as bad as they are?

I might be wrong, but wasn’t the West Coast North Island Marine Reserve set up in 2008, the last year that Labour were in Government? Presumably Labour approved oil exploration some years prior to this date.

“Harriet , why Christian fundies like you eschew environmental concerns ,”

    Well that’s complete rubbish Stephie.

The first book I ever read on environmental concerns was ‘Pollution and the Death of Man’ by Francis Schaeffer, a man you would describe as a “fundamentalist” and who did more than any to start the anti-abortion movement. That book was written way back in the early 80’s, long before environmentalism became fashionable.

Many of the Evangelicals I know are concerned, and there are plenty of Evangelical lobby groups for environmental issues in the US and Britain.

But being concerned for conservation does not mean everyone has to walk in lock-step on every issue.

By the way the article you posted is total crap. The typical Liberal ignorance you find at the Huffington Post.

He bases his claim on the idea that Evangelicals all subscribe to Dispensational theology (The Rapture) when in fact it is and always has been a minority theology amongst Evangelicals.

Your good on foreign policy issues, but on pretty much everything else your brain seems to go walkabout.

Tamati claims the protest he organised proves he is more than just a smiley weatherman. This proves that the protest was not about dolphins but about Tamati Coffey. Just another light weight saying “look at me”.
Don’t wait for the media to pick up on that though.
