Matt Nippert has an interesting article on student newspapers at Fighting Talk.
It covers the new nationwide student newspaper, Fuse, put out by the NZ Herald. Incidentially I was very involved with the last nationwide student newspaper, Campus News, which ran for a few years in the late 1980s. The quality of most of the student newspapers back then was appalling so on a couple of the campuses we had Campus News with a higher circulation then the local paper. And with no subsidy from compulsory student association fees!
Nippert’s article also alerted me to the recent Critic article called 40 reasons to vote National. I did have to laugh at some of them. Hopefully we will also see 40 reasons to vote Labour.
