DPF – Defender of Southpark

I’m on NewstalkZB some time between 6 am and 9 am tomorrow defending TV3 for going ahead with plans to show the Virgin Mary episode of Southpark on C4.

Not sure how much of the interview they will use (and I was highly amused to be interviewed in my capacity as a Southpark fan) but my major points were yes it is offensive to some, but so is every episode and people shouldn’t watch it if they don’t like it rather than try to stop people like me who do enjoy it from being able to watch it.

I also pointed out they have managed to ensure this will be the highest rating episode ever!

I was on more shaky ground as I had to give examples of equally offensive previous episodes. Some of them I just didn’t want to describe on air 🙂
