Nice spin attempt

Katherine Rich has pointed out that a Government business consultation website is a fairly dismal failure with less than ten visits a day, most of which are probably crawlers for search engines.

First of all Trevor Mallard tried to claim it had only been soft launched and would be hard launched later this year. Katherine wrly noted that “soft launch” seems to be a new term for “flop”.

Then Rick Barker said it wasn’t a flop, and that money had not been wasted on it as the purpose of the website launch was “to get people used to the idea”.

Oh that is so funny. One no longer launches a website so people will visit and use it. You now launch a website so people get used to the idea of there being a website.

And this is what we pay taxes for!
