Refugee Snails

Nice to see some common sense has won out, with 250 snails being moved to allow a new coal mine on the West Coast.

If there is an award for hyperbole it should go to Forest & Bird for claiming moving some of the snails to an existing colony would create “an overcrowded refugee camp”.

I suddenly have images of Palestinian snails with mortars and rockets firing back at the mine 🙂
