I’ve always thought the worst thing that can happen to an MP is for the media to dub them a future leader. Up until the day you become leader (if you ever do) you are seen as never living up to the mantle. Plus of course all the unwelcome attention it draws etc.
So I’m not sure how welcome Deborah Coddington’s endorsement of Judith Collins will be, despite the fact it is a nice profile.
