Zogby Polls

The Hive noted earlier today that I didn’t rate the Reuters/Zogby poll, but that they did.  Zogby in 1996 and 2000 was often seen as the most accurate pollster but since then they have many bad calls and considerable controversy.

With that in mind it is worth reviewing their polls for Super Tuesday for the most important state of California.

They said Obama was ahead by 13%. At this stage Clinton is leading by 16%

They said Romney was ahead by 7%. At this stage McCain is leading by 17%

No pollster gets it right all the time.  And they did call some other states correctly, but their reputation won’t have been helped by being so far out in California.
