Out the window long before this. Otherwise we might see Klark Kullen Winston and a dozen other crooks and cronyists behind bars. Forget democracy and justice. This is about political power, and the SFO is just another lame Klark edifice, ready to jump on any small businessman who might trade a few shares with some “inside” knowledge, but like many of the senior police, in the same political bed as the real crooks. (See Yes Minister this morning for a strange story.)

Winston might get prosecuted here, but if he does, the purpose will only be to make it appear that something was done. A sacrificial lamb while others just as guilty still sit in powerful places in the Beehive, daily giving patronising speeches and writing dodgy laws and thinking up new ways to steal our freedoms and the fruits of our labour.

Such is New Zealand after almost ten years of socialist rule.

She said that some members of the privileges committee had made up their minds before hearing all the evidence and that those same members were politically motivated.

I have not heard her describe Labour and Green party MP’s in such an honest fashion for some time.

I saw a beautiful campaign poster this morning – a big colour photo of a little girl with a big grin, standing up to her ankles in the sea, and “Vote for me” across the middle. Nearly bought a tear to my eye, and I don’t even have children.

You lot wouldn’t have liked it though, it was a Green Party billboard…

Prime Minister Helen Clark and Pacific Islands Affairs Minister Winnie Laban today said Cabinet had approved a new regulation under the Financial Transactions Reporting Act to reduce the high costs of sending money between New Zealand and the Pacific.

An estimated 75 per cent of Pacific people living in New Zealand sent money home and faced costs between 15 to 25 per cent of the amount they were sending.

The Pacific Island Affairs Ministry led work with the Reserve Bank and Justice Ministry to reduce that to between 5 and 7 per cent by next year.”

Hori, I think that Palin needed to come out with that peice of info as you can imagine that every facet of Palin’s life would have been investigated. So a bit of pre-emption helps.

And as for humiliation – well if the daughter gets hamu then so what. It’s been the same way for generations. Think of it as a teaching moment for other teenagers.

Mike, I reckon one really good reason you should withdraw the accusation about Bill English is that you predicate it upon his religion. We have enough problems in this country without bringing empty-headed, pig-ignorant sectarianism into it as well. I just listened to the Politics segment from Radio NZ’s Nine-to-Noon program and must say that Trotter’s behaviour and lecturing of Hooton simply because he expressed a different point of view was tiresome and boorish. He interrupted Hooton more than once and proceeded to hog the speaking time with a self righteous tone. Trotter is a typical leftist/statist who doesn’t want to grasp the idea of freedom of speech.

It was disappointing that Ryan didn’t do a hell of a lot to keep things fair.

You’ll find that religion is a choice he has made (sure he probably got forced into it by his parents at a young age, but thats not excuse for carrying on) against a vast body of evidence that proves it is bullshit, further more he bases his political (and quite possibly personal) on that deluded belief.

He chooses to be a catholic then that choice is a legitimate target for criticism. Just like me choosing to support Labour and the Greens is valid to criticize. Some ones skin color or sexuality (despite Christians claims otherwise) is not something they choose, so is not legitimate to criticize. All fairly simple, so please don’t try and muddy the waters.

key has just been outed on tv one news for bullshitting about his buying and selling of trans-rail shares..

..in both trusts..and his own name..

..at a time when he had ‘inside’ information..

..and was asking lots of transrail questions..in parliament..

..while he was wheeling and dealing in transrail shares..

There is bugger all in this, the left wing scum will beat it up for all its worth and no doubt the pinko media (as witnessed by Fat Fran Mold) will subject Key to levels of scrutiny they would never dare use on Klark but it is hardly the Neutron Bomb many of the left would have hoped for.

If that is the best that the Labour party dirty tricks research unit can come up with then I see no problem, However what it should signal to the Nat’s is that it is time to start getting dirty themselves, start asking questions about what information Winston has on Klark, start asking publicly why Klark caved into Bush so easily over the Indian Nuke situation and start asking the really embarrassing questions of dear corrupt leader.

It is time to start fighting back lads!

Face it Phool, this is the not the silver bullet you have been praying for, you are still going to have to go out get a job, you are still going to be forced to WORK.
I do understand the level of panic that you must be experiencing right now but trust me, after a while you may even enjoy being a positive role model.

I know that I will sure as hell have a smile on my face come November 9, the thought of you being dragged off to work is enough to make most of us chuckle.

As much as I would like to make Phool do a job as bad as that I would not give him the satisfaction of turning the job down, I would offer him something that he could not refuse, in other words I would/will work with his WINZ case manager to find something in his rather dusty CV that he is qualified to do.
Of course it goes without saying that it will be the most mind numbingly boring work that I can find and it also goes without saying that Internet access will be denied.

Actually on that last point I would think that I could offer him employment at no real cost to myself, I am sure that there are many here at Kiwiblog who would chip in a couple of bucks per week just to be “Phool free” for 15 hours…

Come to think of it that might not be a good idea, if others helped pay his meager wage then I would have to share my sadistic joy with all those who contributed, I want to savour watching Phool toil away at his sterile and mind numbingly boring work station, I may however post it on the Internet by way of a live cam.
