The idiot Shane Jones got a whack over the head yesterday from Jacinda (and rightfully so) for his stupid attack on Air New Zealand Management.
He didn’t seem to take any notice however, because he was back on attack on the 6pm news. What a fucking clown.
If Comrade Stardust doesn’t now remove this self-promoting buffoon from his Cabinet Minister position before lunchtime today she will have failed her first big test of leadership.
Sorry, second. I forgot about the Young Labour sex and booze camp.

      Be honest…. how many of you, when you heard about this threat to our oil & gas industry thought “oh that’s silly, they wouldn’t possibly do that ” and then just put it out of their minds?
      
      Well, I’ve got news for you. An unelected government has taken control of our country and one of their factions is actively fighting for exactly this, while another of them is prepared to seriously consider its implementation.
      
      There were probably millions of Chinese who thought Mao’s agrarian revolution was too silly an idea to be taken seriously and millions of Germans who thought the same about confiscating people’s homes and making them wear yellow stars….. the list goes on.
      
      New Zealand, be afraid. This is real and it’s happening here. Welcome to the Third World.

      The comments are interesting, they read more like those 3rd term government rather than a 1st term.
      Anyone who had functioning eyes knew Adhern wasn’t up to the job of being PM but i hoped she would at least grow into the role. Alas she has learned nothing and looks more incompetent each day but to those who think she won’t be back after the baby is born you are deluding yourselves, thanks to Mt Albert she has the best paying job of her life (and one for life) so she won’t give that up.

      That would be on a par with ASB closing Rob Muldoon’s childhood savings account because it took objection to Rob’s comments. It was not his main account but upset him as the passbook was of sentimental value (many kids would have had a ASB or similar or POSB passbook account in the past).
      Is Gary McCormick still banned from Air NZ for gate crashing a Koru Lounge and helping himself to a drink? The ban is due to end in November 2018.

        According to Google Maps, Kapiti airport is a 51 km drive from the Beehive. And Kapiti is a suburban train station.
        
        Why are people dying in a ditch over this being or not being on the National Airline grid. The GM of the national airline should resign over this. Talk about HIcksville, NZ

      As it is from a ‘Minister of the Crown’, the MoD would have no option but to obey the order

Winston wouldn’t let such a thing happen and while he might be prepared to bring the government down as a matter of “principle” over something like this, he wouldn’t consider doing it until he has had his hands on the tiller for a few months.

The board of Air New Zealand should put out the following statement:
“To the Minister of Regional Development.
The Board of Air New Zealand has agreed to continue to operate loss making routes to the regions on the basis that the shareholding Minister agrees to all losses incurred operating those routes being deducted directly from the dividend paid to the Government. This means all taxpayers will be subsidising those losses and not just the minority shareholders.
Come on Minister, prove you are not all piss and wind. Make that arrangement and we will fly wherever you want us to. The ball is in your court.”

Somehow I don’t think our gung ho Minister will be up for the task.

  Apparently, the mayor of the regional area which will no longer receive service, indicated that AirNZ personally told him that it was NOT profitability (or lack thereof) which caused the closure.
  It had more to do with operational issues within AirNZ – They had to redirect staff, and aircraft to other areas where there issues.
  Believe it or not – But to carte blanhchly intimate that the standard ‘unprofitable’ reason applies to all scenarios is a bit rich, and can be totally misleading.

    My understanding is that there is a shortage of airline staff throughout the world. Air NZ must pay decent salaries to retain the staff they have. It can’t be easy competing with some of the huge airlines overseas in the job market. I know a retired lawyer who is presently 66 years old and recently decided to become cabin-crew for Air NZ. He is loving it to date and finds the company caring, smart and perceptive. The listed characteristics do not attach themselves to the Coalition very readily.

      The wordfrom some in the know is that the regional operations for Air NZ are an utter mess. Poor staffing and rostering practices mean that flights are being regularly delayed because pilots and aircrew are regularly exceeding their hours. This means that the early morning flights leaving places like Gisborne actually get delayed or canecelled while new aircrews are flowing in that morning. It is beyond poor management, and comes back to AirNZ looking to save money on overnights and things like that, and effectively breaking their own network

Minister for Pornography, Shane Jones, continues to ‘beat himself up’ over Air New Zealand trying to run a viable business instead of a subsidised courtesy shuttle service for him between Kaitaia and Wellington. I can understand that he is advocating for his region, but his Don Quixote fixation on the windmill that is the Air New Zealand board is laughable. What’s even worse is that he has absolutely no viable argument. If Air New Zealand tried to service every little regional airport in the country, they would either have to price those flights so highly as to make them unaffordable, or price flights on other routes higher to compensate, opening the door for competition. It’s an untenable position.

Option three is a taxpayer funded regional subsidy. 11.3 billion dollar hole anyone?

He says that the Air New Zealand CEO should keep his nose out of politics. Perhaps Shane Jones should keep his nose out of business. He has demonstrated zero acumen for it!

    Wellington councillor interviewed said the animal had to be small enough to sit on passengers knee, or travel in the baggage rack – presumably in a carrier. She did not clarify the animal sitting on your knee had to be in carrier/cage.
    
    What about allergies?
    What about the freaks who will take their weird and scary ‘pets’ with them on public transport? Scared passengers fleeing their seats, not to mention scared animals. Have they really thought this through! ?

      There are times when society’s interests in the rehabilitation and reintegration of the offender take precedence over its interest in condemning and punishing the offence. This is not one of them. Child and spousal abuse in this country is endemic and there comes a point where exemplary sentences should be imposed. Here, a 9 month home detention sentence is about equivalent to 18 months imprisonment. The maximum for the reckless wounding is 7 years. This is a bad one; brutality to a 9 month infant is appalling. I am always in favour of cutting sentencing judges some slack because it’s hard to know all the circumstances, but in this case, the judge seems to have got it badly wrong from a legal perspective, and fucked it up completely from a social one.

      You mean judges who rely on popularity contests to keep their job? There is already accountability through the appeals system, judicial conduct commissioner and ultimately removal for improper conduct. Are you talking about judges having to be elected? In effect, political appointees whose ongoing tenure depends on them deciding cases the way their political masters want them to? Hopefully no party in this country would ever support that.

        Why do we even bother having a parliament making laws if they are just going to be screwed over by the judges?
        
        If, as a society, we were to decide to reintroduce hanging then it would be the judge’s responsibility to hand out the death sentence and not a bit of home detention.
        
        Note for the slow of wit: I am not suggesting we reintroduce hanging, just saying that it is the judge’s job to apply the law – not make the law, coz feelz.

        No fernglas, the methods for accountability you mention are a joke.
        I know a guy who had a long list of crimes of violence and armed offender callouts who was found not guilty by a judge, who took a dislike to the victim and accused her of “exaggeration and embellishing the truth”.
        She tried for over 2 years to get a copy of the transcript of the trial and was fobbed off repeatedly.
        In the end, she was told she could only see the transcript with the agreement of the defendant!
        This is how our court system works to cover itself.

        This morning Family First spokesman Bob McCoskrie told the Herald he had written to the Crown and Little asking for a review of the sentence.
        
        He said the sentence was “grossly inadequate”.

    So either:
    * the judge can’t follow sentencing guidelines. If so, the judge needs to be limited to presiding over parking offences.
    -or-
    * the sentencing guidelines are broken. If so they need to be fixed.

    Section 9A clearly states that violence on a person under 14 years must be treated with special consideration (ie. harshly).
    
    Perhaps the judges should be required to refer to the clauses they used in making the sentence.

    How is home d going to aid job-hunting?
    
    Personally I think the grandfather is rather restrained in his response.
    Vigilantism should not be the first response, but if this baby boy can’t get justice from the courts, then his mongrel father needs to be dealt to another way.
    
    And while we’re about it: The 9 month old has a younger sibling, also in care. I do hope their mother has learned to choose her men more carefully and use contraception until they have passed scrutiny.

  Is this judge really stupid or is she handicapped by restrictive sentencing dogma. Judges should make commonsense judgements based on the facts before them. It seems former lawyers lack this ability.
  All the other erstwhile endeavours to reduce violence fail when the Judges fail society.

  The judge reportedly said that the sentence would give the defendant time to address “the needs you do have.” And of course, he was drunk at the time so that’s a legitimate excuse.
  There you have it, it’s all about the importance of the man’s needs.
  Someone else can address the baby’s needs.
  Do we have a Minister for Children? What does she have to say? Any leadership on this issue?

  What amazes me is the positive coverage that Obama gets even here in New Zealand. For some reason New Zealanders idolise Democrats? They fawned over Bill Clinton and now they are fawning over Obama. Donald Trump they hate and George Bush they would probably hate as well.
  
  However I did force myself to watch Anderson Cooper on CNN yesterday, just to see what they were covering? In a 2 hour show they had only 3 items. The bombings in Austin which they had to cover because it was breaking news. Trump’s purported affair with Stormy Daniels which they talked about at great length. And how terrible it was that Trump rang Vladimir Putin and congratulated him on his election victory.
  
  Basically there is nothing else at CNN but Trump is terrible all of the time. Unfortunately that’s where New Zealanders get their opinions. CNN and the New York Times and the Washington post shape our opinions of the US president. So New Zealanders are taught that all Democrats are good and all Republicans are bad.
  
  What we need in New Zealand are centre-right voices to counter the narrative. I believe there is a lot we can learn about what America is doing and what Trump is doing that would actually benefit us. There are very interesting things going on in America involving job creation, lower tax rates, better trade deals, imposition of tariffs, freeing up the energy sector and cutting back on regulations.
  
  The US economy is doing very well and much of it is due to the new President of the United States. But you would never know that watching CNN.

    Our own rnz has been giving a lot of coverage over the past few days to the Texas bombings , strange as Yemen and Syria are really getting bombed without any current coverage .
    
    But then there’s a suspicion of a “racial” element to the Texas bombings , so as always with the left, it’s not the bombing that matters , it’s the perpetrator and the victims.
    
    Same with the faux outrage over the sexual harassment thing …….poor white girls in England don’t count when it’s Muslims doing the raping.

    After McCabe was fired (bloody good) on the recommendation of Obama appointees for corruption, those on Fox were obviously happy. So I changed to CNN and their guests were attacking Trump, saying he should be impeached, the firings were all political to stop McCabe from talking to Mueller. How? Mueller can speak with anyone he wants and has likely already spoken with McCabe. CNN never once told their listeners that McCabe was fired on the recommendation of Democrats after a very long internal investigation.       McCabe was fired after a very *accelerated* investigation. The grounds for his firing seem spurious (like Comey he was supposedly fired for being mean to Hilary …). And the report that his firing is supposedly based on has not been released.
      
      McCabe was leaving anyway. He was fired, rather than be allowed to resign, because firing him will allow Trump’s lawyers to argue that any testimony from McCabe is the testimony of a man embittered by being fired. I doubt that will help the Don’s case much, because I expect the case against him doesn’t at all rely on McCabe.

        I don’t agree, and instead Labour governments seek, as per Norman Kirk, to be “independent”, in line with our essential multilateral foreign policy, and we invest in multilateral forums such as the UN. and World Bank. One can disagree with those policies, fair enough, but they are not immediately or necessarily “anti-American”. Hence Bush II and then-US Secretary of State Colin Powell described the NZ of Helen Clark’s tenure as “a very good friend of the US”.
        
        But, as you imply with your comment about “perception”, while I disagree, I don’t have a problem if that is Scott’s genuine opinion. Air New Zealand staff across the board will take Jones’ attack on their CEO as a personal affront. I wish him the best of luck with his baggage actually arriving on the carousel at the other end and as for upgrades on personal vacations forget it Shane you’ll be paying for those from now on. The cabin staff too have their ways and means – I leave that to the imagination but suffice to say the galley is out of sight.

A very stupid move on Jones’ part. Air travel may never be the same again.

Such sponsorship is high-cost expenditure for a public-sector entity like the University, even in Dunedin where commerce and industry is more sparse than in the country’s major cities. I would be intrigued to learn how this narrowly-targeted advertising expenditure could be justified; the ‘business case’ would make fascinating reading.

  I think it was a good move and I don’t even watch rugby and was anti the stadium being built. The uni aims to attract students from all over the country and super rugby has a large viewership, so good exposure. Also the stadium and the varsity have close connections, Unipol (recreation centre) is there and they use it for orientation gigs etc. The first years love getting cheap tickets to the Zoo in their orientation ticket for the home games, and it is a real party atmosphere. I see it as a win-win as the stadium gets better utilised and the Highlanders get support, while promoting Otago as a fun campus lifestyle.

  As MCos notes, this is the 3rd or 4th year that the Uni of Otago has advertised this way, and it has been discussed here previously. All the universities have an advertising budget, and if the Uni of Otago thinks this is a cost effective way of getting exposure (in NZ, Australia, Argentina, and Japan) then it’s not so silly.
  (That said, I have no idea how cost effective it has been – just that the idea isn’t as strange as it looks at first glance).

Does NZ’s health service need an overhaul. I ask this not because of Campbell’s on going “let’s take pot shots at the government campaign, but because within 24 hours we have 2 situations at either end of the country that indicate DUB management & boards are forgetting who they serve & who they are accountable to.
Yet again the Southern DHB, this time because it wants to close/transfer facilities. However, it appears to have made decisions on erroneous data. Given the history of the Southern Board, would it not be unreasonable to expect the appointed commissioner to at least employ information systems to avoid the dud decisions of the past & to ensure it knows the morbidity requirements of the population it serves? But he’ll no, they seem he’ll bent on repeating the same mistakes over & over.
Then there is Counties -Manukau & Middlemore Hospital and a leaky buildings situation the Board has sat on for 7 years. The failings of this Board (led by professional manager Lester Levy) are scandalous and skill cost taxpayers dearly. Seems Middlemore Hospital has 4 leaky buildings, built circa 2000. The Board has known of the problems since 2012 and done very little despite reports saying the issues are severe.
What this Board has achieved is an out of court settlement for $3mill with the contractors. However, the estimated cost to repair one building alone is $25mill and even worse, the DUB will be using the same contractors to repair the first of the buildings & then with one of the four buildings no plan has been determined because they can’t do the repair work. This is because they have nowhere to provide the services. Like I said, they have known of the problems for 6 years, so what the he’ll have they been doing?

As Kiwis and taxpayers we should expect better of our public servants, but the problem I fear is more deep seated, in that I suspect it goes right to the top with MPs who become ministers and are way out of their depth& who you wouldn’t rely upon to run a bath. Because it is the politicians who appoint & scrutinise the Chairs of these Boards.

    Johannesburg wasn’t exactly “settled” by choosing the best land to build a town. It is there only because of the gold. Before that it had absolutely no redeeming features.
    
    The town itself basically started as a general store, a pub and a whore house for the miners. All that has changed is the scale of the activities.
    
    Johannesburg is one of very few cities in the world that is not built on a major river or harbour.

  Good call. The problem is people like McCain with their over-the-top anti-Russia rhetoric are only serving to make Putin more popular at home. While there was ballot-box stuffing, Putin would have still won, all the other candidates are seen as weak. Russians sitting at home are seeing him school Obama, steal Crimea and poison traitors and they’re thinking, “Gosh he’s powerful, he’s making us feared again.”

Winston Peters has been in Parliament since 1979, with 6 years of ‘forced leave’ that gives at total of 33 years.

He has served in the party or coalition of government for 12 years, enjoying the baubles of office.

He’s changed Parties from National, to Independent, to NZ First.

He’s been voted out of his own electorates three times.

He’s been sacked by three Prime Minsters.

He’s held 5 ministerial posts.

He’s changed electorate seats 5 times.

In 33 years his parliamentary salary would amount to close to 11 million dollars.

As leader of a party with 7% of the vote, he took it upon himself to disenfranchise 44% of the electorate to satisfy his own capacious ego.

In all that time, he’s managed to institute a Gold Card, just in time so he can claim it himself, along with all that extra super. No-ones talking about the NZ First Tax Bill any more either, are they!

How does he keep his nose in the trough? I wouldn’t vote for him in a school board election!

        In addition to the handshake, he will also receive a Parliamentary pension based on his average final year’s salary, so if he resigns this time next year part of that pension will be based on his salary as Acting PM and the remainder on DPM.
        
        Yet more millions !
        
        If he were to peg out before resigning I’m not sure where all those millions would go – perhaps they could plug up some of the holes Grant is digging ?

        KiWombat, wrong on his super on two counts. First, he would have taken the super last time he was voted out (too old to continue in the GSF at that point). Secondly, the MPs pension is based on backbenchers salary not any or all of their actual positions. He will have a current $ subsidy like newer MPs which he will receive as a lump sum when he leaves but that will be *relatively* small.

        There may be some merit to your post.
        
        The starting point for a pre-1993 MP is $40,000 per term for a backbencher, and double that for a minister. He has served 14 parliaments, and I think has been a minister in 4 of them. That gives him a startingpoint of $720,000 if he did not add to the contributions himself. Of course this does not take into account the extra gratuity given to every retiring MP, something that he has not yet accepted !
        
        He MAY have taken some of this last time he was voted out, but nobody knows this other than Winston.
        
        Whichever it is – it will still be a substantial bucketful of cash !

  I was rounded on quick smart and taken to task about how dare I! What proof do you have? Winston is going to save us etc etc. Most of these people were otherwise sensible, intelligent citizens.

  The Herald and RNZ have covered it well. However they have not gone on and on and on about it like they do over Trump , or alleged Russian interference in the US and UK .
  
  This am is another example , the 7 am news covered Kitteridge and presumably Chinese interference but by 8 am was dropped and we were back to Trump and Putin.
  
  There are huge issues here , why the preoccupation with Trump and Putin but so very little about the Red Emperor?

The latest child abuse saga.

“The court heard the assaults happened when the man was drunk and at a time when the relationship was facing significant difficulties…

The man’s ‘then-partner’ was cooking breakfast and he took the baby into the bedroom after becoming frustrated with his continual grizzling – the result of teething. Alone in the room, the man struck the baby repeatedly on his face and head and grabbed him by the chin and mouth to stifle his cries. He then forced something solid in the infant’s mouth causing a tear between his tongue and base of his mouth. From the next room the baby’s mother could hear her partner say: “f*** up, shut up you little c***”… the vicious attack left the 9-month-old hospitalised with lacerations around his mouth, welts on both sides of his head, multiple cheekbone fractures, a torn bottom lip and tongue and facial grazes – after which “he then fetched the baby and demanded she feed him.”

The perpetrator’s identity is suppressed, of course, out of ‘sensitivity’ to the child. Mind you, there is the story of the woman…

“Her partner then turned on her, threatening to burn her with a hot pan before pushing her towards the ground and kicking her legs, hip and shoulder.”

And the history, “…the man …admitted a charge of assaulting the baby’s mother with a weapon, and six further charges of male assaults female relating to her and another woman…had also assaulted the mother of his children on multiple occasions between September and October 2015 – including while she was pregnant… On one occasion he hit her so hard with a game console that she could not open her eye. Another time he went up behind her and held a knife firmly to her throat. On a third occasion the woman’s sister tried to defend her and the man threw her to the ground then straddled her while jamming his thumbs in her eyes.”

Really? I would have thought that the pressures of a teething child in this history produced an inevitable result. Of course, she’s not ‘minimising’ the violence to the woman. When REALLY, the whole thing is down to a ‘liberal’ society where children come absolutely last, the most important thing in life is getting a ‘fuck’ preferably with the help of alcohol/drugs and especially if you’re a teenager, and those protecting it most are the politicians, lobbyists, powerful, and privileged who all have their particular obsessive agendas and are happy to tolerate the collateral damage, while weeping crocodile tears, because it serves their purposes. It’s ‘them’, not ‘us’ – and it’s all those white colonists’ fault. That baby is our ‘primary concern’. Yeah. Right.

    I believe I have been constantly pointing out the sheer, unadulterated hypocrisy and destructiveness of any society in which adults say, “I should be able to do anything I want to anyone because I *really* enjoy it” – which amongst the powerful and privileged is covered up and hidden by ‘closing ranks’ and amongst the vulnerable poor and young is simply tolerated, minimised or justified.
    
    Do you really think I care whether it was in Victorian times or now? Have I not repeatedly pointed out that for all the ‘fashionable’ atheism, liberalism, civil rights, … which we claim have ‘improved things’ – nothing has changed.
    
    We are just as sub-human as we have always been, not even slightly ‘civilised’ or ‘better’ – and some are less civilised than others, deliberately encouraging it and using the ‘dupes’ for their own biased empire-building, money-making enterprises.
    
    Just because we can now film and/or watch/listen to it in 3D, or the gender of the actors is more flexible, doesn’t make it ‘progression’. What the increasingly ‘liberal’ society achieves, though, is to increasingly normalise it.
    
    So ordinary children can have some predator shove his hand downs their pants to grab at their genitals and the wider society says, “Oh well, kids will be kids. It’s all the alcohol/drugs we gave them. They took too much.”
    
    And women (including pregnant) and children can be beaten and bloodied – up to death – and a judge will say, “I’m sorry this is such a long sentence of 9 months at home (where he learned his behaviour and/or didn’t learn otherwise) and 160 hours community work (all four working weeks) but I want to give you time to sort out your problems.” Probably with a new girlfriend and her with a new boyfriend.
    
    The wider society has lost all boundaries and perspective.
    
    Not to mention, as I say, (and I’m sure they’re in there somewhere even if everyone is studiously avoiding it) “It’s not his/her fault. It was the colonists that caused it.” Or to others, the Victorians.
    
    We have not ‘progressed’ as a species, and are not ‘progressing’. We are returning to neanderthals and that’s probably doing them a disservice. They were focused on survival.

Critics say that criminals are exploiting the new rules and that small-scale theft has been effectively decriminalised in UK shops.

    Interesting comment HC – we have actually had Courthouse closures over this side – from memory Whataroa Courthouse was closed because it was only opened one or two days per year. And it serviced about half the West Coast !
    
    The law is a bit thin on the coast – obviously not much activity to keep them busy ! The police stationed in Franz have an enormous area to cover, so just as well there’s not much crime for them to be bothered with !

      KW I lived their in the 1970’s when Kevin Hannah was the Publican at Whataroa and great people like Alex Graham farmed their don’t get me wrong their is great friendly people on the coast but outsiders were called loopies and they liked the money that came with them. The big problem was that resulted in people taking their jobs and coasters didn’ like that in them years as it also encouraged people to go back for the whitebait season and other activity that made them a quid.

  Boy, you are tough. I know for long periods we have indeed been “shit” at test cricket, but the last five years we’ve had a good record. Other than playing India away, or Aussie and South Africa both home and away we are unbeaten. No shame in that record, and we have a better record than Aussie in England and against Pakistan in Dubai. And our wickets in NZ, while being seamer-friendly (as they should be given our climactic conditions) are good for stroke makers. A bit different from when Richard Hadlee used to take bundles of wickets on green tops at Lancaster Park with variable bounce. ?
  
  Is one of the best NZ cricket teams I have seen, at least as good as the team Stephen Fleming had in the early to mid noughties, and just below the team of the mid 80s with Hadlee, Crowe, Wright, Coney, Smith, Bracewell and Chatfield in their pomp.

        No, I’ve detailed their home and away record the last five years, and that’s the basis for my assessment, irrespective of today’s performance. We are a better team than the Windies, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, likely able to draw against the latter three in the subcontinent which is a good achievement, and we should beat them easily over here, as we have the last few seasons.
        
        This series will determine how we sit with England. I would back us to beat India at home as we did in 2013-14 (their away record is shit, btw). So only South Africa (whom we were unlucky not to draw to out here at the end of last season) and Australia are genuinely better and should beat us. I’m talking only test cricket, btw. As you know, I couldn’t give a damn about limited overs cricket in either form.

  In English or NZ conditions, you would think seriously of picking Boult as a new ball bowler in. World XI, Southee is a good foll, Wagner an excellent specialist third bowler, maybe just behind Philander as the best in the world. Williamson is world class, Taylor just out of the top echelon. In 1890, Henri Poincare proposed the Poincare recurrence theorem which postulates that a system will return to its original state after a sufficiently long amount of time. This means that if you waited 10^10^10^10^2.08 millennia, long after all stars have died, all matter is devoured by black hole singularities & subsequently ejected, leaving the universe as a barren waste of Hawking radiation, you will see the universe reset itself into what it is today, with the Milky Way, our solar system, the Planet Earth, all of its creatures, all of our technology, culture or political affiliations & we’ll still be waiting for stephieboy to post a coherent comment on General Debate. 🙂

        When I was a young hoon, we thought middle age was 30 to 50, and in our turbulent, half-formed minds we associated folk in that age range with the Middle Ages (Medieval times).
        
        Those of us who hadn’t read the Canterbury Tales regarded that period as a time of chastity belts, condoms not yet invented, donkeys instead of motor bikes, people often lousy, and only candles for lighting and so everyone they went to bed early.

A Cabinet minister takes her message on feminism into a primary school and tells the children it’s time for “old white men” to get off company boards.

What is the school doing inviting Genter into the classroom to harangue the kids in a way that many parents would regard as more feminazi than feminist?

Put this alongside Labour’s moves to crush charter schools, and you have a picture of a strategy to mould state schools into a propaganda system for the Left.
