  Yes I was wondering if the Media where in the north shore district court yesterday and if they will report on any cases involving SEX. Whilst I wood expect the media normally to have an interest maybe they wood prefer to not report special cases.

    Also, I’d be betting that the Govt would be grateful that other major News stories would deflect any interest in the Court case.

    Yesterday, with the assistance of Sgt. Cecil Kirk and other members of the D.C. Police Department, the staff conducted a second test of the time necessary to fire two consecutive rounds from a 6.5 mm Mannlicher-Carcano rifle similar to that found on the 6th floor of the Texas School Book Depository on November 22, 1963.
    
    It is apparently difficult, but not impossible — at least with only minimal practice with the firearm used — to fire 3 shots, at least two of which score “kills”, with an elapsed time of 1.7 seconds or less between any two shots, even though in the limited testing conducted, no shooter achieved this degree of proficiency.

        Ok, so because they can use knives to kill people, then it makes sense not to make it too difficult for them get access to military-style weaponry designed specifically to kill people quickly and efficiently.       Sorry I don’t buy it.
      
      Yes, you can fire a few rounds quickly from a bolt rifle, but it is not going to be easy to sustain over more than a few rounds.
      
      The mosque murderer fired 205 rounds in less than 5 minutes, not all of that was shooting time. So that was basically a round a second, including time to swap magazines etc.
      
      For that you need three things:
      1) semi auto
      2) large capacity removable box magazines.
      3) a reasonably tame round.
      
      A fixed magazine (like most hunting rifles have) prevents a high sustained rate of fire, as does a manual loading mechanism (bolt etc).
      
      .223/5.56 is a very tame round. You can carry and shoot hundreds of those easily, even with a small body and little training. I defy most people to try carry and shoot 200 rounds of 12 gauge or 308 in a 5 minute period. Possible, but you better be ready for the punishment.
      
      Apart from the functional aspects of large magazines, the other things that make ARs popular for mass shooters is that they have the right “look”. When the nut-job builds up a rambo image of himself in his twisted mind, he needs to see an AR-like gun.

        Very few Bolt Action rifles have fixed magazines these days, in fact you can legally buy a 308 Bolt Action rifle with a detachable 20 round magazine, scope and silencer all on an A Cat license…. Now tell me who on earth needs 20 308 rounds loaded at the same time?
        
        The mechanism (semi auto) can be made irrelevant simply by restricting the number of magazines a person is allowed to own for their rifle to 2 magazines and making them register both firearm and all magazines – limited to 7 rounds each for a total of 14 before they would have to reload them. I’d rather that be allowed, than 20 308 rounds of silenced death in the hands of the wrong person.

    I know quite a few that still have a license but no firearms. Would they be believed when they stated they have no rifles or would the police have to assume they are being concealed?
    
    It is just not possible to enforce. A semi does not use different ammo so seriously, how would anyone know who has what.
    
    I have a number of firearms but no semis, my neighbour has one and it is a semi.

  The interesting point there, in what Kurt Schlichter is saying, is that the American gun-control Left actually is “comparatively muted” on this occasion. Many of them at least, would seem to have spotted the crazy mix of factors in this case. If anything, what is being said is that NZ’s already-strict gun control laws (from their point of view) didn’t stop this guy illegally getting large magazines and making illegal modifications.
  
  It’s not just that “with guns illegal, only criminals have guns”, it’s already the case here that “only the criminals had guns that were illegal”.

My partner was sayig he heard that silly Andrew Dickson on 1ZB yesterday, calling out the boss of ‘Gun City’ for opening his shop on Saturday.
What was he supposed to do? Mister Tipple runs a business. Employs hundreds of staff, has to pay wages, rent, rates, taxes, bank interest etc etc like every other business owner. You don’t see any of those costs stop for a day in sympathy. It makes you wonder where they find these naieve jerks who host talkback radio shows 🙁

I’m not sure how anyone else feels, and personally I think Cindy is probably doing what she should be doing (showing sympathy to the victims). But the number of soft focus, Woman’s Weekly like photos of her that have appeared on my facebook feed, always along with professionally written script about her being some super humane leader, would indicate the Labour party are using this disaster to promote the shit out of their only star. And that is starting to feel a little macabre.

      however, it was pointed out to me that one of many commonalities amongst white mass shooters is to be recently proscribed psychotropic – anti-depressant – drugs. It will be interesting to see if this is applicable in this case.

I had initially thought it was “depression” and that the drug needed time to work to “reverse this”; but by the fifth night it was obvious to me that it was the drug actually doing it. In the wee small hours of the morning I started Googling and found the above link.

        Here’s how I would describe the “restlessness” I experienced. The constant movement is actually an instinctive “trying to get away” from what feels like an intense malign supernatural force enveloping and permeating one from the outside in. A “blackness”. The urge “to get away”, goes as far as trying to kind of “throw yourself” bodily “out of” the invasive enveloping force. I can understand why some people defenestrate under these conditions.

        In general, I am skeptical about the whole “mainstream medicine” approach to drug trials, whereby drugs get approved “because they helped” a majority of patients in the trial. The entire “mainstream medical” system is completely incurious about working out why something didn’t work for a significant minority, and what should be done for that cohort out in the general public, for whom the “approved drug” will be useless and even harmful. There is very likely a pre-disposing factor that could be identified, but the system doesn’t work that way. It is like “drug identified and approved, responsibility to the public discharged”.

  There are occasions when suppression is justified like in giving a war enemy secrets but mostly not. To bring in the degree of control required to prevent offense would it itself be an offense against civil society.
  
  Where have love and tolerance gone? That latter goes a long way towards a peaceful life. The govt has welcomed immigrants to become citizens. We are not obliged to adopt the newcomers viewpoints or beliefs but we have a duty to likewise welcome them and assist them as they make their homes among us. We get to know them as neighbours and they us as we become citizens together.

The only way to stop these kinds of senseless killings is to introduce the “Fly-wing Check” on all applications for a firearms licence.
In this check, officials interview former classmates of the person applying for a firearms licence as ask them if the applicant, to their knowledge, ever pulled the wings off flies or did some other cruel or weird act to other living creatures. (A special sub-paragraph for unusual behavior at gymnasiums can be added later.)
There. That ought to make our streets safer.

What do people think about Stuff quietly removing an article about a guy who attended the Al Noor mosque and later ended up fighting in Yemen? And there was a second guy attending there too, article on Newshub, but they have not scrubbed that.

Please keep to the topic about Stuff quietly removing inconvenient articles. I’m not claiming Al Noor was radicalising people, there is no evidence for that, it’s much more likely these people ended up in the only mosque in Christchurch because they were radicalised already.

I’m also interested in people’s opinion on our internet companies blocking certain sites. I have no issue with them making quick decisions in an unprecedented situation. Trying to block kids from easily accessing bad stuff served a good purpose.

But legitimate news sites like zerohedge got blocked too.

Should there be some kind of policy? Or even a law change?

Was what they did helpful?

The somewhat scary thought is obviously that they have the standing capability to quickly forbid access to a portion of the internet. And they blocked only smaller sites, not the large and big companies who had the same content.

  Sites that host an objectionable publication (which the video obviously is) are breaking the law and ISPs have a responsibility to limit illegal content.
  
  You may think zerohedge is legitimate (I disagree, it’s rambling conspiracy rubbish imo) but since they’re most likely hosting pictures or snippets of the video itself, they’ve been blocked.
  
  There’s no law change or directive, it’s all under the Classification Act or whatever it is. We don’t have a China style firewall (thank god) so this is the only way to block content in an emergency.
  
  It’s probably a sign that you should find some more respectable news sources.
  
  YouTube, FB and Twitter have shown a willingness to remove the content despite how difficult it actually is to do, so they remain unblocked.

  I didn’t /won’t watch the video. Saw enough in South Africa. I did read the Manifesto or bits of it. However, I have a problem with it, offensive as it is, being banned. Who ultimately is the arbiter of what is indecent? Will WW2 videos showing executions and killing be banned, what about the plethora of videos coming out of Syria from the battlefields? Where does freedom of speech and expression start and end? I can see some need for control of speech inciting violence, but even so, is it not better to be informed than live under a rock? I do beleive this needs further debate and there are no simple answers.

So the witch hunt is well and truly underway and no effort is being spared to blame the usual scapegoats such as Gun City.
If you prescribe to the line of thought that the business who legally sold the guns to the killer is somehow responsible for what happened then we need to take this to it’s logical conclusion and blame the makers of the vehicle he drove to the mosque as they provided the means as well.
Where did he buy fuel for the car because obviously the service station in question employs “enablers” also.
Let’s not forget who sold him food that day as well because he could not have done this without nourishment so they should be held liable as a party to the crime.
Anyway point being how far are we going to go with this stupid finger pointing and bad guy stuff.

So, lets us assume they ban the semiautos. Other than gunshop records, how they going to know who has them? And if someone says, I threw it away, or destroyed it or lost it or it was stolen, how they going to check? Once again this will result in naive, law abiding owners losing firearms while the deceitful, criminally minded will still be armed. And civilians will be less safe.

Apparently Duncan Garner named Whaleoil and Kiwiblog as right wing hate speech sites this morning. Didn’t hear it myself but it would explain David Farrar’s frantic cleaning.

It’s the equivalent of having company around but there are skid marks on the dunny. Farrar wasn’t ‘doing the right thing’ – he was forced to do it and evidence of that is there was absolutely zero attempt to condemn and clean up islamophobic comments previously.

Farrar has a real issue with his white supremacist groupies and he knows it. They know it too because they are all fearful of having their free speech hate speech examined.

      and good note on false equivalence, and also just above linking in John Key and his “join the right side” hate speech, which arguably also enabled last Friday’s massacre.
      
      The National Party, on so very many issues, is hateful and mean. Typically it is in relation to workers. This incident highlights its horrible underbelly which provides solace to the haters and supremacists.
      
      Farrar has recognised this, it seems. Perhaps other National Party people will also realise how much of what they stand for and promote is in fact nasty, mean and hateful. And that they should not turn the blind eye that they do to those policies and speeches which drive other people down so they can rise up.

But I can’t quite see the relevance of this to Tarrant.
Tarrant was radicalized, according to him, between April 2017 and the end May, 2017, by an event in Stockholm and then two experiences in France, so not in New Zealand. He was in Portugal and Spain, Spring 2017, and Bulgaria, Romania and Hungary November 2018.

So how long has he actually been in New Zealand to have had any interaction with society here, apart from see that his apparently predetermined violence could be more easily performed here than elsewhere?

@DPF: I’ve really liked Kiwiblog and I’ve enjoyed the sense of community which commenting here has given me.

Your posts have always been well written, informative and thought provoking and the huge range of comments from differing viewpoints has, IMHO, prevented your blog from being merely an echo chamber.

It is with sadness therefore that I see that you no longer trust your contributors and readers to self-moderate with the downticking ‘comment hidden’ and reporting system that has worked so well up until now.

I don’t think you could physically moderate every comment single-handedly; there simply isn’t enough time in the day. So what… do you have an army of helpers assigned to you from the office of state propaganda now? Or maybe a cute little AI bot which will help everybody not to say wicked things?

Sorry that it has come to this. I think I’ll have to find another forum if this continues much longer. I notice that even though Cam Slater’s Whaleoil is much maligned here, that blog is actually showing some balls and has the courage to stand up to the Woke generation and say it like it is.

  It’s disappointing in the short-term. But these are terrifying times. At 1:40pm on Friday, that murdering monster triggered the left, he finally gave them something thay have never ever had – a real life example that proved that anyone who disagreed with Muslim immigration is a homicidal maniac. They feel vindicated. All the self-doubt has gone. And now they are on a rampage to shut-down all forums that offer a dissident view. DPF’s Kuwiblog is the Holy grail for the left.

  Given this blog is frequently referred to as being “right wing” as is WO..WO probably more so and probably share many common commenters, not only would they be targeted by the extreme left but the possibility of the extreme right. For these reasons, I would prefer to give neither party a platform to spread hate. If the only option to do this is moderate every comment then I support it. When the dust settles, hopefully sooner rather than later, commenting resumes as normal. Friday’s events are unprecedented so one might expect unprecedented measures to deal with the fallout.

There is talk that the shooter will not be charged under the Suppression of Terrorism Act, and on the murder charges alone.

This would be a good move for 2 reasons. Although I am a lay person in respect of the law.

1. The deaths of 50 people at his hand, will be enough to incarcerate the gunman for the rest of his natural life without recourse to an untested law which has already come up against barriers when last used.

2. By removing any political motivations from the charges, this will effectively deny the gunman a platform to spout his poison in defence of his actions.

Don’t get me wrong. One of the central tenets of our justice system is that all people are entitled to a robust defence, but it will be harder to argue the political nature of his abhorrent actions if we remove the politics from the charge sheet. He will still try it, I’m sure, but we need not gift him the opportunity by raising the issue first.

What happened in Christchurch is a horrible thing. Innocent New Zealanders lost their lives and I can see a country that doesn’t know, understand or see violence regularly struggle to comprehend this.

I grew up in South Africa and, my youth there inured me to violence. I have enough friends who lost family members to racial violence. To senseless violence. One of them was murdered in his driveway while the youths involved shot him in different parts of his body to see how he’d jerk and spasm. One of my girlfriends had her uncle shot and paralyzed in a game park while he was jogging, wearing only shorts, because he wouldn’t give he murderer his shorts. You grow up hearing stories like that a few times a day, you eventually don’t even hear it anymore.

For me, the lasting image of that violent country was when a woman, walking down a beachfront promenade was attacked by a group of men wielding screwdrivers and hammers and other tools. They stopped next to her and were trying to grab her handbag. A morning news crew was filming the promenade from the hotel and the image that will always remain with me was the man, walking five steps ahead of her. He turned, looked over his shoulder and carried on walking.

But now I am watching the New Zealand I love burn. I’m finding it confusing, because what has been ingrained in me here about free speech, being opposed to racism and using dialogue and reason over violence, control and intimidation are things that are being discarded now. And so many of my fellow New Zealanders are buying into it, from an emotional perspective and, I think, from a political perspective.

Kiwiblog, the strongest platform for open speech in New Zealand is being moderated. And I understand why, and respect our host for it, but it feels so wrong. I was taught in New Zealand to counter hate with reason and logic and calm discussion. And now people are being arrested. Access to the internet is being blocked. The government is reaching for more and more power, just like in the United States after 9/11. Something that is still felt in airports all over the world.

These are not things I associate with New Zealand. I don’t know how to cope with this. How do you guys reason through this and how do you see the changes that are happening in such a short space of time?

How much liberty will be surrendered because of this murderer?

This reporter, Vera Alves, would have us report to the social network, or to local authorities, anybody who may be complaining about “Asian drivers” or “those curry munchers”. Her reasoning is that “normalising that kind of discourse, like we have been doing in New Zealand for years, ultimately contributes to making people like this terrorist feel like they have some kind of valid point.”

That friend who puts on a fake Indian accent? That’s what a racist looks like. Racism is a violation of human rights. Do not let that happen in your life and go unpunished.

I wonder if Ms. Alves has really thought through what she wants to start, with calls like this?

Okay Vera, let’s run with this. But let’s not restrict ourselves to people who spread hate towards “other cultures, religions, nationalities or ethnicities”, let’s expand it to anybody who spreads hate to ANY OTHER GROUP OF PEOPLE. And bearing in mind your rather casual definitions of “hate” which includes anybody who complains about a particular group of people (“Asian drivers”) let’s look for people who make disparaging comments about ANY other loose grouping of people. These comments may not be “hate” speech as such, just disparaging or derogatory.

The first person to be reported has to be Julie-Anne Genter, for being discriminatory towards old white men. No, I’m not being over-the-top, Vera, and in fact you stated in your opinion piece that although reporting our friends “may sound ridiculous, over-the-top, whatever other adjective you want to give it … at the end of the day, they’re degrees of the same thing – of a “them vs us” rhetoric that needs to end here and now.” Those are YOUR words, Vera. Well, Julie-Anne Genter has indulged in a “them vs us” rhetoric, and it needs to end, here and now.

Next to be reported is the Equal Employment Opportunities Commissioner Jackie Blue. She agreed with Ms Genter, and said she’s on the right track. You refer to “thinly veiled racism going on in some people’s posts, comments or likes” – well, this is not-so-thinly veiled discrimination, Vera. It needs to end, here and now.

Guy Williams obviously has to be reported, for being discriminatory towards Christians. As you say:

Next to be reported is Phil Twyford, who as we all know is pretty damn discriminatory towards Chinese people. And that’s not even beginning to consider all the comedians, TV presenters, actors, etc who have made their livings out of pushing boundaries. I shudder to think how Billy T James would be treated now.

If you want to start this, Vera, you really need to think it through carefully. Because once you start it, I really don’t think you have any idea where it will go. How about yourself, Vera? Are you completely innocent? Seems to me you’re discriminatory against people who simply want to enjoy having a nice lawn at home, and lest you think I’m being “ridiculous, over-the-top, whatever other adjective you want to give it … at the end of the day, (it’s) a “them vs us” rhetoric that needs to end here and now.” Again, these are YOUR words, Vera; yet here you are making outcasts of people who simply care for their home and garden.

You may wish to have a good long think about this Vera. Do you REALLY want to go down this path? Because if you do, I suggest you will be shocked at just how quickly it spirals out of control.

I am a licensed firearms holder with weapons for hunting securely locked away in an approved gun safe.

Amongst them I possess two semi autos – 22 & 12g shotgun that could soon be illegal. Just like Aussie who go one step further and ban pump actions as well.

If Ardern recalls these weapons I am obliged to hand them in.

My question is what about the criminals who don’t give a toss about their illegal firearms they have behind the door / under the bed.

Sure as hell they will not be handing them in.

The good guys are being penalised.

There should be severe penalties for illegal possession of firearms.

  I would rather see a new class of license for people who wish to have a semiautomatic, than a ban. Possibly stricter more rigorous, military-style training. Mandatory psychological evaluations once a year or something similar. This would be preferable to a ban with the pushing of these guns underground. Just an idea.

They’ve got it coming, more so with lessons learnt from NSW police shutting them all down. They can’t take legal guns without taking the patches themselves, that cause nearly ALL the killings. Not in this case.

DPF is between a rock and a hardplace. WO as does the Standard as examples, both have moderation. The fact that these blogs and others exist is proof that free speech still exists in New Zealand. I believe that there is and will continue to be considerable pressure from people and organisations which will try to use these horrible events to try to get many blogs and public forums shut down. WO and KB especially provide valuable sources of information and report events which are ignored or reported with considerable bias. Free speech will come under real attack in the coming months.

An interesting and moderate article by a young Asian-born Muslim woman who was born and raised in New Zealand is printed on the Radio NZ web site.

Interesting and mostly moderate, until you get to this view of NZ:

Our country is built on violent colonisation by white Europeans. Indeed, the accused murderer was himself an immigrant to our country, and yet our public discourse continuously questions why brown immigrants are in New Zealand trying to live and make a life for themselves.

My first-generation Kiwi friends who are white are never asked “where they are really from” like I am.

Violent colonisation? Unlike Islam’s initial spread through violent conquest, in New Zealand there was the Treaty of Waitangi. If you say that was a sham then why are we getting claims under it?

Secondly, to be asked where are you from is inevitable whenever your appearance varies from the mainstream population. When the writer of the article was growing up in NZ, the proportion of Asians here would have been much smaller.

Do white people think it’s racist or even unusual, if, as a different looking person in an Asian country, a local asks them where they’re from?

  Born here, spent a few years here before her parents took her back to Bangladesh (actually it’s not clear if she went with them, but she does say she subsequently ‘returned’ to NZ). Parents then emigrated to the States (not immigrated Lamia) and are still there. She meanwhile comes back here to take advantage of our educational institutions for a few years before she too buggers off to the States.
  
  And then has the gall to complain if she was born here after 2006 she would not have been automatically be granted citizenship!
  
  I’d love to know her reasons for arguing that people born here while their parents breeze through the country temporarily should automatically become citizens.

It is a tragedy that my three year old grandson had to practice “lock down” at day care yesterday. “In case the baddies come to get us”. I weep that my sweet wee grandchild has to lose his innocence over this and am angry that the teachers had to tell them about baddies. Talk about scaring young children! Surely they could have been made it into a game of some sort.

From Australia: Michael Daley apologises over comments about foreigners taking jobs ahead of NSW election

NSW Opposition Leader Michael Daley has apologised after a video emerged of him telling a Labor function Sydney jobs were being taken by foreigners “from typically Asia”.

In the video, recorded during an ALP function in the Blue Mountains in September, Mr Daley told the audience young people were “fleeing” Sydney.
“Our young children will flee, and who are they being replaced with? They’re being replaced by young people, from typically Asia, with PhDs,” he said. “So there’s transformation happening in Sydney now where our kids are moving out and foreigners are moving in and taking their jobs.”

It’s interesting that the ALP function was held in September, but this story has come to light just 4 days before the state election.

And, when called on it, he plays the “taken out of context” card:

Last night Mr Daley issued a statement saying he was commenting on housing affordability and the high cost of living. “In making these points I could have expressed myself better — I meant no offence — I hope none has been taken,” he said.

From what I understand, the polls are pointing towards a hung parliament, with the ALP having its nose in front – but it’s so finely-balalanced that Daley wouldn’t have wanted this story to come out now.

There is a suggestion from Justin Lester that people should not be allowed to post anonymously on websites under a nom de plume and that in order to post, one must apply to do so with photo ID.

Seriously, what planet is this guy on? There is a reason why we have a secret ballot at election time. It is chilling that a left wing politician wants to effectively have a database of people listed according to political views.

This needs to be explained to him.

So let’s get this straight. If on Friday you shared this clip it wasn’t an illegal act but as of today, the act that you did legally 3 days ago has been declared to be illegal even though it wasn’t at the time.

This is outrageous, whether the video should or should not be banned is not the point, the principle that you can be criminalised retrospectively is not something that we should accept.

    Maggie, you keep such humourous company. I was watching Stephen Merchant on Oxford Debates last night, and this 6’7″ chap is very funny. Ricky Gervais was on a previous one and he explained what he says about situations comes from a ‘couldn’t give a fuck’ angle. He does not set out to hurt individuals though. The fact that ‘The Office’ and ‘Extras’ would not pass the censor now says a lot of how miserable we have become.

  What about the desperate search for private videos of car accidents and disasters by the media?

  I think Bercow did the only logical thing he could, to try to salvage his own reputation — he has made an ass of himself recently.
  With this move he has effectively thrown May “under the bus”. She has in recent days with her message threatening MPs that if they did not vote for her plan the UK possibly would never leave was treating the MPs and UK voters with contempt.
  She seems to have forgotten the Withdrawal Act that the UK Parliament passed lats year.
  “The opening words of the Withdrawal Act passed in June 2018 state that the European Communities Act 1972 is repealed on exit day, March 29 2019. Every EU law and treaty, including the customs union and the single market, then ceases to apply to the UK.”

Newshub report grossly misleading. I’m not a Trump supporter but…Newshub article says “Kelly Anne Conway says to read shooter’s manifesto against expert advise.” They said she did it to “to defend US President Donald Trump after claims he was responsible for the rise of Islamophobia that contributed to the massacre.” She said in the original fox statement that Donald Trump’s name only appears once and then went on to name the various other political organisations, countries, and ideologies, that the shooter ascribed to , to give perspective about the huge number of varying statements. The shooter is evil. Last year two Scandanavian women were beheaded with the video being sent to one girl’s parents and also being posted online.

I do not recall any world wide demand that the video be removed nor any threats from New Zealand or Sweden against the platforms showing this video.

Can someone explain the reasons for the difference in attitude.

I’ve just read that our TV stations have been pulling any shows that might be deemed offensive, or they think might be inappropriate. I’m not sure what criteria they applied, but some of the replacements are comedies. Is it really inoffensive to show romantic comedies during a time of grieving? They weren’t too concerned on the day of the shooting were they? It was wall to wall coverage of what that maniac had inflicted on the people. _That_ was pretty distressing, but there was no avoiding it if you had the telly on. Even now, I’m watching people running around with rifles on the news.

  They long ago stopped publishing news in an impartial way. The problem now is in a world where ~2 billion opinions are frequently accessible, why would I particularly want to elevate or care what John Campbell, Duncan Garner, Tracey Watkins or Alison Mau think, particularly as they make more money exploiting a tragedy such as this.

I think it is great that someone so blatantly thumbing their nose at the populace should be pulled down, but the details about their symbols and numbers, a code of sorts is surely going to encourage others? But people still wear swastikas (gangs for example) are they next or different?

Wow! An Australian Muslim leader, the homosexuality-hating Sheikh Shady Alsuleiman, was refused entry to New Zealand in the last few days – until the Australian Government intervened. He’ll now arrive today.

Sheikh Shady was scheduled to fly to Christchurch yesterday to help with funerals of the mosques massacre victims.

Shady was one of the Muslim preachers banned from visiting Denmark last April. Immigration New Zealand has confirmed Shady was refused entry due to the Danish ban.
