Attorney Sidney Powell Files 104 Page Bombshell Complaint of Massive Fraud in Georgia Election

Here’s just one of the numerous bombshells in the report ?

Incontrovertible evidence from the Board of Elections records demonstrates that at least 96,600 absentee ballots were requested and counted but were never recorded as being returned to county election boards by the voter. Thus, at a minimum, 96,600 votes must now be disregarded.

    Of the 566,788 absentee ballots cast in Wayne County, the absentee data file provided by the Michigan Secretary of State indicates that 203,311 ballots show that no application for an absentee ballot was mailed or sent to that voter by their local clerk, which is a rate of roughly 36%.

        Admit it – you wish to ignore these massive instances of fraud because you want Biden to win. If Biden had won fairly, I’d say, well, OK, the American people voted him in, that’s fine. I’m sure Trump would have conceded in a fair election as well. But all indications point to massive fraud. This isn’t just about who becomes president any more.         If “all indications point to massive fraud” then I’m sure that you’ll have “much success with the courts” – but of course what will really happen is the courts will continue to throw the cases out and then you’ll claim that the courts are covering it up and are part of the “great deception”.         I would suggest to Sidney Powell that if she want’s to even start with some credibility then she should at least run it through a spell check; even the very title of her magnus opus has 2 glaringly obvious spelling mistakes in it. Hint: it’s spelled “District” – not “DISTRICCT” or “DISTRCOICT”.
        
        Having read it I can only reach the conclusion that the woman is bat-shit crazy; if you’re going to come up with crap about machines switching votes then don’t waste my time with opinion from paid “experts”; show me where the switching occurs in the source code – show me the SHA-256 hashes match to prove that that was the software actually installed on the machines – show me how the CIA broke the AES256-encrypted data streams. Does she do any of that? Nope – the only hashes are the re-hashes of stuff that’s been debunked many times.
        
        At this point you lot are like a bunch of monkeys masturbating in public; feels good for you whilst everyone else just shakes their head because they realise that you’re just not smart enough to know any better.

    Republicans and Democrats, and in NZ, National, ACT, Labour, Greens, should all be equally interested in what is going on for the following reasons:
    
    (1) It is about the process as much as it is about who was the victim. It is not just about finding out who is right, but what is right.
    
    (2) It is about maintaining democracy and in the US, the constitution.
    
    (3) US citizens need to have faith in their election system.
    
    (4) The fate of the world hangs in the balance. If tyranny has stolen the election, tyranny will wreak havoc and destruction on the world.
    
    (5) If you had actually watched the video, you would have learnt that it is not just about this election, but ensuring it never happens again. It is about safeguarding the constitution.
    
    Who cares if there are errors? Pulling something this big together in such a short time is bound to have errors. Clearly you have never put together any detailed legal submission with hundreds of pages. You can’t just use a random phrase / paragraph generator like Curran, Woods, Ardern, Et al do on a regular basis.
    
    What is important is the evidence. Anyone who does not want the truth to come out is either:
    
    (a) Dumb: Deluded as to what justice actually means and the importance of protecting it.
    
    (b) Sincere Marxist: Has drank the Marxist Koolaid and cannot see the failings of Marxism.
    
    (c) Cynical Marxist: Knows its wrong but is on the payroll, so will say anything.
    
    What you are positing, is an end to justice, an end to democracy, an end to the US constitution, and the free world.
    
    The law of Karma: What you wish on others, ultimately gets reflected back to yourself. So be careful what you wish for others. Karma has an indelible memory, and no time limitation. Karma is a bitch.
    
    Imagine you being arrested for a heinous crime you did not commit, only to find that the prosecution attorneys, defense attorneys, judge and jury all have as much disregard for justice as you project. Good luck with that.

        Actually Batman, I’d argue that I’m a lot more sound of mind than you are on this subject.
        
        I believe there are huge issues, both legally and ethically with the US election.
        I believe the American people deserve and need answers (one way or the other – I honestly don’t care as long as it’s done properly).
        The biggest issue for me is to ensure that future elections don’t have these issues (there are a lot of instances of people overstepping their jurisdictional rights in this election which for me is the biggest issue). A lot of the issues are probably just issues of perception but for the health of democracies, you can’t have perceptions of wrong-doing.
        I’m interested in Democracy and am not actually pro-Trump or anti-Biden. I am fervently anti biased media though so obviously I look more pro-Trump than not.
        I don’t think the election result can or should be overturned (barring absolute proof of fraud) but am entirely willing to admit that I believe the Democrats have taken every advantage they can get in this election. Again, it’s not unreasonable to expect both sides to do everything they can – they both have form.
        
        The fact is, their election system is a mess with conflicting laws all over the place and different people having jurisdiction at every step. This needs to be cleaned up and cases like this where all of the issues get aired is a perfect opportunity to do so. That is why I’m defending these cases – it’s the best opportunity to fix their system they might ever get.

        Sorry, my ‘sound of mine’ joke was in reference to one of the affadavits which opens with the guy saying he is “sound of mine”. Then goes on to allege a bunch of heresy and claims without evidence.
        
        I don’t disagree that the US system is flawed and in dire need of bringing up to first world standard. They need a new Voting Rights Act and possibly a Federal Voting Standards Committee or similar, to prevent this kind of chaotic fuckery from even being possible.
        
        I disagree about which party has form for fraud etc. History tells us very clearly that the GOP has a much darker track record.
        
        That doesn’t include gerrymandering which is a huge issue and both parties are guilty of because of course they would do it. Letting politicians pick their voters is an entirely insane concept and should be banned outright. It should actually be a constitutional amendment in my view, as an explicit carve-out to states’ rights to run elections.
        
        These cases are bunk and will only undermine the system by giving one side even more of a grievance narrative and further weakening the idea of facts and truth.

        Honest judges know that, since most have come up through the legal system, and spent a lot of time dealing with shitheads.

  Attorney Sidney Powell also challenged the State Governor re-writing a set of election conduct rules when the Legislature already had one. He was not the Legislature so was powerless.
  The legislated rules were far from followed.
  
  The filings are on line and 104 pp. They are an excellent presentation for what may turn out to be a historical document.

        “Massive” is an adjective, a part of the English language to describe size or scope of something, and probably fitting in this circumstance. For what witnesses are attesting to, “massive” actually seems a tad small.
        
        “Colossal” would have been a better choice.
        
        Massive: Exceptionally large.

        Whats the point of the English language, and in this case an adjective, if someone like you gets offended by its use.

        One interesting thing is that these “Kraken” filings are the first Trump election court cases to allege fraud. Trump et al love to say the word to the media, but no lawyer has been prepared to put it to a judge until now.
        
        The challenge for Powell though is that the rules of US Federal courts require that “In alleging fraud or mistake, a party must state with particularity the circumstances constituting fraud or mistake.” As in really specifically say who did what, when, how etc. Not just hearsay and allegations … real detailed evidence.

    The Georgia Filing which I read in full, is lucid, documented and masterly. An excellent summary of issues for adjudication. Supporting evidence has also been presented.
    
    Cases of this standard cannot be ignored. It was interesting to see the foundational concern on the rights of all votes to be given equality. This is potential SCOTUS territory.

    Chavez has nothing to with the current election.
    The complaint raises an issue detected about the operation of the machines which were unknowingly online. Chavez is only relevant as earlier machines were built to his orders and the models seem to have continued.
    Info has surfaced that vote counting took place off-shore in Germany and this is an ongoing inquiry.
    The machines are only a small part of the matters for adjudication and are part of a constructive picture.

  Numerous problems with with the Georgia suit. Including that those accused of rigging the election are Republicans, so you have to question motive. Secondly the poor quality of the “experts” with Trump own department of homeland security declaring this was the most secure election ever. The biggest problem with attacking the software for rigging the results is that the hand recount would surely have demonstrated it had the program tampered with and changed results.     If some Republicans had done the rigging, as well as DHS hyperbolically calling the election “the most secure ever” (without any of the evidence that audits could provide), then this counts for nothing, as plenty of Trump’s purported allies don’t support him. Further, a mere recount will never uncover any discrepancies, only a full ballot-by-ballot audit could achieve that.

      Yes, Bruce doesn’t get that. He doesn’t understand fraud nor how you expose fraud by audits. He and others refer to recounts finding nothing.
      
      These recounts could be compared to recounting the money in the till and recounting the stock on the shelves. It only tells you what is in the till and what is on the shelves. It does not tell you should be in the till or what should be on the shelves.
      
      To determine that you have to check the chain of custody. It is the chain of custody that has been breached with all sorts of spikes in ballots solely for Biden in the early hours of the morning.

    You can’t do a hand count of votes that came in by computer. Also, much of this recount stuff is just counting the fraudulent votes all over again, ignoring the important part which is the envelope which has the signature and postcode (or not).

      You’re correct, but most of the voting machines have a paper ballot which you scan into the machine and it reads it. So there are ballots.
      
      As for mail ballots, they’re checked when opened but by this point the envelopes and ballots are separated. You can’t put them back together unless you’ve got six months and a magic wand. This is key to the legal case as the plaintiffs are really looking to have whole classes of votes thrown out and have the thing to go the House where they believe it’ll result in a Trump win.

Was the election stolen from Donald Trump? I think yes. The 5 or 6 key swing states that stopped counting, the mysterious dump of Biden only ballots in the early hours of the morning, the concerns about the voting software. All big stories, all worthy of investigation.

Will the mainstream media investigate? Of course not! They hate Trump and they want Biden. They’re not calling balls and strikes. They are umpires striking out Donald Trump and letting Biden walk the bases.

Hunter Biden is the tell. Big story, Hunter’s laptop, drugs, prostitutes, under age sex, millions of dollars of corrupt money coming to him while his father was vice president. Money going to the big guy, named by an eye witness as Joe Biden.

But the press didn’t touch the story. In fact twitter and Facebook and Google suppressed it. Donald Trump and his associates were censored by Twitter 260 times, Joe Biden 0.

Now we may have Joe Biden as president. What’s he going to do? We don’t know because the press never asked him. Never probed with any substantive questions. Never even asked him about foreign policy? Are you going back to endless wars? Are you going to have an open border?

Maybe if the press had done their job the American public might have been informed before election day? But no, in the press’s mind the only important thing was orange man bad.
Pathetic! Who honestly can believe anything the mainstream media says anymore?

    Actually, it’s NOT the courts. It’s the State Legislature that has complete province over the elections in their state. They decide who won and which electors to send in December. This is what you keep getting wrong and I keep pointing out. The courts changed election law to allow late voting by mail after the end of election day, allowing postal votes without a postmark, without a signature, where signatures don’t match the one on file, etc. And they have no right to do this.

  The election result for Biden is the one that most closely conforms to virtually every opinion poll done prior the the election. I know Trumpinistas think opinion polls are all rubbish, but as DPF has shown, they are actually pretty good at predicting the results, even if not the exact percentage.
  
  In my view none of the litigation will go anywhere (it hasn’t so far), and that will be clear within the next couple of weeks.

    I agree that the litigation doesn’t appear likely to go anywhere. However you totally wrong with regards to the polling. Many polls were out by much more than their margin of error. Many polllsters had Biden winning by huge Margins (10+ pct), the election was much closer than they predicted.
    
    To me it seemed that some pollsters were using their polls to drive opinion / sentiment not to reflect the actual mood of voters.

So living wage or more has to be paid to RSE workers next month, this government quietly bringing in the living wage as mandatory whenever it can slide it in. Because, Minister Faafoi says, they are experienced. Not sure how that will work when the highly efficient and hard workers are paid on a different basis, eg volumes.

No mention of the incentives for our usual RSE workers to head to Australia, quite likely plenty are already there as the offer has been in place for weeks. And our plan seems loose not to mention late.

Minister Faafoi is confident increased RSE costs on growers won’t result in higher prices in our supermarkets. He’ll be following prices closely and reporting on them to we the people. Right?

In any case the living wage is a rort developed by do gooders to allow New Zealanders to contribute to society and have overseas trips.

  It won’t prices, as growers are price takers, not price setters, especially for export crops. I expect to see bankruptcy and fruit rotting on the ground as it is not economic to pick at these costs, and in many cases, it is to late.
  Winz need to tell the dole bludgers to get off the couch and work. No work, no benefit. Pay if needed transport costs and look at stand down periods perhaps.

    (a) harvesting and making a loss
    (b) not harvesting and making a bigger loss

  The Living Wage was a UK political device and the Lower Hutt Anglican Social Centre Priest Charles Waldegrave called focus groups together and came up with numbers for a similar union campaign in NZ.
  
  CHICKEN The wages for Auckland were $24/hour and elsewhere about $18/hour. They were dismayed and not prepared to attempt to promote the higher rate and that differential has continued with Rev Charles giving his numerical edict from time to time.

    IIRC the higher number living wage mentioned, or similar, was for year 2 and used the original calcs. Suddenly the calc changed, as you say – chicken. Just one reason it is a rort IMO.
    
    Might be wrong but believe this is the first time the living wage has become mandatory in the private sector, though there are instances of taxpayer and ratepayer funded private sector suppliers required to pay it. When Wellington CC brought that in it was justified by saying the surplus in the HR budget would be used so no rates increase.

      Rev Charles was an expert on some social matters and he was chosen by the Living Wage promoters to provide the numbers. He wasn’t involved at the national political level but as an adviser to a union activist group. I don’t question his motives.
      We do have very good welfare provisions in this country already.
      
      Wages need to be contained not further pushed up. The Kirk/Rowling of 1972 let a wage/price spiral loose and I am seeing that being repeated. A govt can kill a country with kindness. We need to live within our productivity. Borrowing is not prosperity.

Thank goodness, I heard Ardern say in Parliament that National are responsible for the Housing Crises.
Then when called out by Collins, Ardern said that she would not be lectured on housing by her.
Well blow me down – we all know that Ardern is exceptional – she should win Mastermind too !
She is getting beside herself with self grandeurment.
Sadly she will come a cropper soon at this rate – she obviously is so important that she will not allow parliamentary comment.
She will avoid Parliament if she can more now that Collins is her bete noir waiting for her.
I know it is very early in this Parliament but am getting the feeling that the Government is not getting control as it expected too.
Will watch closely as more Ministers and Departments stuff up. as they are seeming to do.

And they are typically smarter than Ardern at al. The have loads damaging intel at their fingertips.   To be fair every government in the last 20 years has responsibility for the position we are now in. It’s not Labours fault, it’s not nationals fault. It is what it is because of successive governments incentivizing housing investment and making it difficult to built new houses.
  
  Sniping from both sides wont get houses built. Both parties need to put away their pride, pull the heads in and work together on a bi-partisan solution.

    To be fair to our political parties, their positions reflect electors choices – by voting against more houses (to preserve the neighbourhood, green space, compact city form, etc.) we choose restricted supply which leads to higher prices.

So we have a Maori Party that aggressively speaks its mind and calls out the Speaker when they feel they have been slighted (and look how much media coverage has been generated for them)!

We have a Green Party not formally part of the Govt so are free to criticise Labour whenever they wish to (and look at their more radical newbies – they will be feeling “slighted” on a regular basis and won’t hold back)!

And we have some minor dissent within Labour spilling out into the public arena (Henare v Davis).

Oh and we have a MSM that is somewhat more openly critical of the Government at times (for example is calling out the PM’s talk of “promises” versus the lack of action).

Looks like the Prime Minister and Labour will be in for a much rougher time over the next three years.

Will this make or break Jacinda Ardern (in terms of dealing with these “distractions” … when all she ever wanted was a quiet life and supposedly “not the leadership” … look at what she has to manage now!

I kind of wonder whether the PM and Labour will wistfully look back at the 2017-2020 years – at least dealing with the National and ACT parties at the time seemed a lot more “normal” and a lot less stressful!

How low are we going to allow parliamentary standards to sink?
(1) To allow such a racist nonsense as “the Maori Party” to hold seats is bad enough – but Rawiri Waititi’s hat-wearing inside the Chamber, his approach to the taking of the oath when he added his own blandishments, and then his storming out of parliament over his disagreement with the Speaker are all disgraceful instances that once would have been utterly intolerable. He should be removed from “office” forthwith.
(2) Now, Mallard proposes to lower parliamentary dress standards by allowing the not-wearing of ties. All I can say is that formal dress commands respect and is necessary to present the dignity and status of office. Just look at what low-grade wallies our Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner of Police appear to be whenever they appear “tie-less” on TV. Their images do absolutely nothing to command respect for the positions they supposedly hold.

As for him wearing a hat in the Chamber – it obviously points to his very poor upbringing where it’s even rude to wear a hat in the house. I find I can’t even look at him because all I see are worms crawling all over his face. He seems to be reverting back to the Stone Age whereas most decent people look forward. An appeals court in Portugal has ruled that the PCR process is not a reliable test for Sars-Cov-2, and therefore any enforced quarantine based on those test results is unlawful.

Further, the ruling suggested that any forced quarantine applied to healthy people could be a violation of their fundamental right to liberty.

Most importantly, the judges ruled that a single positive PCR test cannot be used as an effective diagnosis of infection.

If so, there have been a number of positives recorded in managed isolation. Are we to accept that up to 97% of them are false positives? Up to how many cycles does New Zealand test?         It is not just a question of number of cycles run – as it is real time a curve is produced and the cut-off for positive is about 40-42 cycles – but does depend on shape of curve. PCR is a reliable technique, in the right hands, with the right interpretation. There are ‘cases’ who have been quarantined for too long (in my view) in NZ as they have been PCR positive weeks after initial infection diagnosed – with very high cycle numbers (around 40, 41), due to MoH anxiety. Not really based on science. Ability to culture has been used as surrogate for infectivity although it may under-call it – hard to know. Very uncommon to be able to culture where cycles > 34 or longer than nine days after onset of symptoms.

Labour and their media toadoes are now suggesting that one way of improving housing afforability is to increase the ‘bright line’ house sale period so that more people pay tax on the gain in value of a sale of a second house (capital gains tax).

Has anybody considered asking them how exactly how taxing more house sales with reduce the price of houses?

Seems to me that the most likely result would be a temporary reduction of house availability as potential sellers hold on to their homes for a few more years. Wouldn’t this, actually make the situation worse.

Love the way the media, economists and banks all just stay silent on this stuff. Another example of a ‘fix’ that actually makes the problem worse (Rental changes to make renters better off, rents up. Enviromental changes to reduce emissions, emisions up).

  Hard to say – if you say that this change comes into affect 12 months from now, then you incentivize people to sell up before the change comes into place, thus making more housing available on the market in the short term, which it seems is sorely needed.
  
  More supply also means prices are more controlled.
  
  However, this would only be a short term hit, a plan for the longer term needs to be in place too, which we have been waiting 20 years for a government to produce one so i wouldn’t hold my breath.

  It depends on how it is taxed. Currently investing in housing has tax benefits relative to investing in say a business or a term deposit in a bank, some argue that balancing the tax burden between investment options would incentives more to invest in other areas not just housing.
  
  Personally, I think that is good idea – more fairness in the tax system, and can be made fairly tax neutral by reducing income tax and/or business tax to offset the revenue from a wealth tax on housing.
  
  Though, even with the benefits of investing in housing, the biggest driver of house pricing is supply.

I went to the All Star Celeb Slam basketball game in Auckland last night – It was a fund raiser for Starship hospital.

I would highly recommend this a s great night out for all the family if they do it again next year.

David Seymour was a bloody legend and pretty much score the winning goal for his team, much to the crowd’s delight. Chloe Swabrick was on the opposing team and it was nice to see them hamming it up together during the game and share a genuine hug at the end.

Hats of to Guy Williams, I haven’t thought much of him over the past couple of years but he is clearly a good basketballer and his playing was very entertaining.

I remember when

Investors have had 10 years of cheap money much of which has been invested in the stock exchange or on property.
Investment Bank Societe General measurements show 50% of S&P 500 and 57% of the Nasdaq’s current value is due to ‘easy’ money.
They suggest that artificially low interest and the trillions created by the Feds mean US markets should be 50% lower than they are.
There is concern about how great the impact will be once interest rates start rising.

  No, the money sloshing around will always be rehomed. Price levels have to change with money supply so the stock market will move accordingly. Even speculative side deals are impacted.

How is it fair that a NZ Citizen person born here who is early 50s, who has been living out of NZ for most of their life never working here, able to just come back and have free quarantine on us, go straight on the DPB and the public housing list having paid nothing into our tax system. Amazing that we now have to pay for her life on return, seeing she hasn’t even worked in this country. She applied for her tax number and the DPB all at the same time.We will also then be paying her pension. Amazing.

  We have plenty of people on the pension who have made minimal tax payments through their lifetime.
  
  There is no such thing as the DPB any more. And it’s not obvious how a woman in her 50’s could be collecting a solo parent type benefit. Good luck with the public housing list …..

      You don’t have to have paid tax to get the pension. All you need is to have a pulse, citizenship/residency and live here for the 10 years before. Do you think there should be a “pay tax” requirement ?

        If you’ve lived in a country that pays an age pension you are required by NZ to apply for that pension, and any difference to what the nz pension is, is made up by msd here. Whatever the other country pays you will never end up with more than any other NZ pensioner receives.
        This is true for NZ citizens anyway.

If the migrant horticultural workers are coming then the minimum wage of $18.90 or $20.00 (2021) must be enough to attract them.
Why then do we need to reduce the horticulture income by 16.9% or 10.5% by paying the living wage.
Migrants workers are a ‘win win’ for both the country they live in and us.
Why increase our debit.

  Cheap seasonal foreign labour in NZ began at the behest of a UN bureaucrat who saw it as a form of foreign aid. It has steadily broadened from fruit pickers to now meat workers. All the while, NZ skills and semi-skills training has stagnated.
  
  Horticulture and agriculture reliant on cheap Asian , Melanesian, and Polynesian labour parallel backpacker tourism: bottom of the market and, for the country as a whole, downwardly mobile.

    New Zealand is well advanced in some aspects of robots in horticulture. Kiwifruit picking for example, but price is probably a barrier for the moment.
    
    We already export apple inspection and packing robotics. That is very labour intensive and has to be a dying job opportunity. Unless you are a robot of course.

As recently as yesterday we have been down in the weeds talking about the length of parliamentary terms, lowering the voting age, coat-tailing rules and thresholds etc etc.

We have been doing this while many issues of vastly greater importance seem seldom or never discussed. At all.

We have massive scientific challenges to face, economic challenges, challenges and risks to our freedoms; massive challenges around violence in our homes and streets and, as we’ve seen recently, great challenges in even adequately educating large swathes of our young. This latter issue of course has been growing seemingly out of control for the last forty or fifty years and it seems no amount of throwing money at it or union feather-bedding has been able to arrest this growth.

So, my question is – what are the things we could undertake which would maximise the calibre of our parliamentarians? How will we ensure we have New Zealand’s absolute best and brightest helping us to overcome these challenges as a nation? Just look at our current system of political parties, party favourites, non-directly elected list MPs and, it seems, the rapidly increasing proportion of our MPs who are single-issue ‘activists’ or who proclaim they are in our parliament purely to exclusively ‘represent their community” – whether that be ‘rainbow’, ‘immigrants’, ‘refugees’, Maori, etc etc.

And one might well ask ‘What about the rest of us?’ or ‘I thought MPs are there to represent ALL NZers and ALL their interests’.

I look at the behaviour of our parliamentarians over many years, and again very recently with the opening of our new parliament and ask are these really the best and brightest we have to tackle and overcome the great challenges we face as a nation?

Are these the people capable of thinking strategically about New Zealand’s future in and for the decades to come? Or are they only capable of thinking and working tactically or operationally so that the strategic considerations are never addressed i.e. we’re constantly down in the weeds?

As a small aside, I notice going through the histories of many of our new crop of MPs that some of them have called for the end of capitalism and the creation of a ‘socialist society’. (You’ll note that they never define what it is they exactly mean about that.) The young gay Mexican bloke is a good case in point. He and others like him remind me of Kant’s dove:

“The light dove, in free flight cutting through the air the resistance of which it feels, could get the idea that it could do even better in airless space.”

Substitute socialist for dove and free enterprise for air resistance and you’ll get the picture – air resistance, the very thing that keeps the dove aloft, is the one thing that the dove could think is holding it back.

I believe young Ricardo, in his ignorance, is Kant’s dove.

The US Presidential election draws attention to something we seem to take for granted.
In both New Zealand and the US certain results seem to be taken for granted.
a: The unregistered voter will vote for the left.
b. Once registered the voter will cast any early vote.
c. The overseas vote has been canvassed by the left and will vote for them.
Should there be concern that Party’s are heavily involved in the registration of voters?
Perhaps, another question is what effect does the education system have on the first time voter’s choice?

  Voters are ‘enrolled’ in NZ and, of course they can’t vote until they are, which can happen immediately prior to voting. They then become special votes that are counted after polling day.
  Special votes also include overseas votes (about 15% this year) and those cast by people not in their electorate. Generally they favour Lab/Greens.
  BTW
  When I lived overseas nobody canvassed my vote. For that matter nobody has canvassed my vote at a personal level in NZ – ever, except Labour at the Avondale Market.

A lot of confidence is put in the use of Family Conferences to solve the problems of Oranga Tamariki.
If Family Conferences are the answer then is it the timing that is the problem.
Why do Family Conferences always seem to happen after the problem has ‘spiraled out of control’.
Do the problems suddenly appear out of nowhere. Is it not possible to see where things are heading. Or, does nobody want to get involved until there is a ‘real’ problem.
Surely, if Family Conferences have a meaningful effect, they should be happening before things are no longer acceptable.

There have been many mainstream pieces over the last 10-15 years on extreme vulnerability of voting machines to exploits (though media tend to go silent when left are winning). Here is a cyber security company owner who has, off his own bat, spent the last 2 years and >$1 million diving into and researching the ease with which voting results can be altered both locally as well as remotely/centrally on various US voting machines. As he said he could have easily decided the result of the last indonesian presidential elections that used these same machines (implying he could do the same to USA). He’s tried to get US govt to investigate, and has been mostly ignored until a month back.     Those sounds are very important.
    Electric cars are too dangerous as they are too quiet.
    We have far too many people that drive to the road rather than to the footpath. The only thing that saves pedestrians is timing and the sound of the car. Remove the sound and people will get hurt.

The South China Morning Pust has just announced that the PRC has applied a 212% tariff on Australian wines. Will NZ be next and if not will we kick the Aussies in the goolies and fill the gap with a few shiploads of Kiwi Sav and Pinot. That’s if we can get the grapes picked.

Had to pop into K’Rd to collect my New York Cheesecake.
Ended up sitting in Pitt Street for about 25 minutes, thanks to it being reduced to a single lane due to the utter shambles created by Goff’s $10B toy railway. What a joke!!
Watched a few of the ‘hard-hat Laborers’ coming and going from the tunnel. I can tell you one thing, by the look of them, the last place I’d want to be caught is 5 meters underground 🙁

Just saying, eh.

Suggestion for Kiwiblog …

Would setting hours for posting help with the moderation flow, which can stop for hours at weekends?

I concede the need for moderation given the number of litigious people who can read posts, but occasionally the moderation process is frustratingly slow, especially at weekends and on public holidays, and even sometimes on Mondays (a dull day for news, because it’s still Sunday in most of the rest of the world).

You might post something, then find out hours later that someone else posted virtually the same earlier but it was held up, invisible, in the moderation queue.

A 6pm daily cut-off from Friday to Sunday would be a good start. Often it’s a waste of time trying to post on a Friday or Saturday night.

Or perhaps a late post thread for next day would bring in late posts from the night before.

DPF’s provided a great forum for us over the years, and the unpaid, anonymous moderators deserve our thanks for keeping it going.

However, we need to help keep Kiwiblog vibrant – buzzing away with different views.
