Going, Going, Not Gone

Today marks the end of mandated vaccine passes, most vaccine mandates and most gathering limits. While Ardern will say this milestone is driven by The Science™ one would need the intellect of an amoeba on Saturn to accept that argument. It is plainly vacuous nonsense. No, Ardern knows she’s lost the public, and for a low-EQ person who craves power and adoration in equal measure, this must be traumatic for her.

Before Covid-19 got cracking in NZ, as it inevitably would no matter Ardern’s messianic histrionics, she and her coterie of hand-picked ‘experts’ could control the narrative aided and abetted by the paid off media. The problem is no amount of painstakingly crafted panic porn can alter the fact that everyday tens of thousands of New Zealanders are surprising themselves by easily recovering from a bout of Covid-19. Mine was milder than any cold I can remember. Friends report that they routinely have worse hangovers. Our own ClanMcleod reports having had worse ingrown toenails. These are the truths we are experiencing, and an increasing number of New Zealanders are now seeing the huge delta between Ardern’s lies and panic porn, and their actual experience. Little wonder she appears to be backing off.

But in truth, she isn’t backing off.

Politicians who grant themselves power in an emergency can be relied upon to thereafter find ways to manufacture further emergencies. We are in this place now. Ardern’s government has left the plumbing in place to do it – or another incarnation of it – all over again. For example, if I ran a café, I am rightly not permitted to bar entry to gays, gingers, people with influenza, Māori, people with chlamydia, or people who looked at me oddly. That would be a breach of their human rights. But I am permitted to bar someone who has chosen to assert their moral and legal right to decline a medical treatment.

This is what some businesses are continuing to do today, supported by a raft of laws and so-called ‘health orders’ that remain on our statute books. I look forward to hearing Luxon’s commitment to unwind all this. But I won’t hold my breath, and neither should you.

Anyhow, it is time these shameful organisations were enumerated for all to see.

The Tyrannical Ten
I am taking nominations for the 10 most bio-fascist organisations in New Zealand. These organisations have excelled in the promotion of fear, the dismissal of rational judgement, and the clinging to evidence-free containment strategies even after our feckless government has made a spectacle of throwing in the towel. They could be somewhere you shop, an employer, or some other service provider.

My first nomination is for Air New Zealand. For clinging to vaccine passes despite there being no evidential basis for this policy. For clinging to valueless masking for the same reason. For insisting these things are for our health when they admit Covid-19 infected passengers to their aircraft just so long as they are vaccinated.

Feel free to nominate organisations who persist with human rights abusing containment theatre in respect of vaccination and mask policy.

  Auckland Council. Mandating libraries when bookstores were open. Mandating the rubbish tip!!!!!! Failing to provide no touch service – if you really believed unvaxxed were a risk you could have had a special lane at the tip for unvaxxed or left preordered books at a pickup area. But it was about coercion and punishment. Mandating suppliers who entered their building – using commercial coercion to take away other’s right to make a medical decision about a novel and only partially approved medicine.

    Add Wellington City Council too. No decision on vax passes yet, just they are going ‘soon’ because there is a legal process to go through. Do they actually think about what they said? Or why other councils have managed to make a decision about what happens tonight?
    
    Have to give credit for them having a no contact pickup library book process. But no credit for making it so difficult people would have to be desperate since there are two suburban locations, miles apart and available for 1 hour a week each. Plus have to email the library in advance to book in. Staff must be terrified of something.

      Add all those retailers such as Burnsco and Farmlands ( I’m not sure if it’s legally safe to mention them by name so please delete if necessary mods) who went over and beyond what was called for by the government by banning even those with exemptions from entering their premises without an ineffective face covering to keep up the theatre. These players are the ones that I will never do business with again they are quite at liberty of course to choose that course of action but I’m equally at liberty to never forget.

      Wellington City Council update this morning – ”We plan to remove the COVID Vaccine Pass (CVP) requirements at our public facilities from 12.01am, Friday 8 April 2022″.
      
      So Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday are in the danger zone, but Friday is all good. Though they do say it is ‘we plan’ not ‘we will’, so maybe it is like an Ardern plan announcement.

    Auckland City council are a bloody nightmare to work with. A totally bloated, inefficient, buckpassing organisation if there ever was one. I needed a bigger rubbish wheeli bin from them. Logged a request on their site for one on 1 February. Never heard back. I rang them a month later, they said they can’t deliver the bigger bin due to being in ‘covid red alert’. Have they ever heard of ‘click and collect’ out in the open air??
    
    They don’t know when they will be able to deliver it. Some 8 weeks later I still don’t have a big enough wheeli bin FFS.
    
    These council organisations are just using covid red alert as an excuse for any incompetence or inefficiency they have in their customer service levels. The ideal foil for them ‘ oh we can’t do anything because of ‘covid’ They are going to hate it when they don’t have that red alert excuse any more. It’s coming soon…

  Both of my parents in rather advanced age and each with underlying health issues have tested positive in the last fortnight and both are wondering what all the fuss was about. It really was a political crisis and certainly not a health one. Thanks for the debt and destruction Labour.

    Yep RP, I respect my 80 year old relative (with an underlying respiratory disease) who got over C19 in a couple of weeks at home. Most important lesson out of this experience being, he’s a very healthy weight, exercises daily and is fit for his age, loves socialising and living his life.

    I have just recovered from Covid, and I took a day off work to sleep. Took paracetamol, and after a couple of days I was mostly recovered. Mild cough, tired and a few chills. Worked from home.
    I know quite a few people who had it now. Some did get knocked by it, like a flu, but more tell me it was a sore throat or the like and already came right inside the 7 days.

      I ended up with a squeaky voice, had hay fever type symptoms like itchy eyes, that was it, symptoms had passed before I tested positive, did not know I had it, went to work and pub, still didn’t know, once I tested positive, I was passed the infectious stage, no one in my immediate contacts got it after me

    Here’s a worthless anecdote that is even better than your worthless anecdote.
    
    Our friends, family of 5… all healthy but antivaxxers and reject antibiotics too, choosing to eat an exceptionally healthy diet instead. The daughter got vaccinated because she doesn’t hold their views.
    
    Household came down with covid, the mum was exceptionally sick, worst flu ever, still feels terrible.
    
    One person didn’t catch it….guess who? The vaxxed daughter didn’t catch it despite being isolated for a week with 4 positive cases.
    
    The mum now must deal with complications of post-covid.

    I am also of advanced age, overweight, sedentary, indolent, lots of health problems. Got what was a very mild cold – scratchy throat, headache, some (more) aches and pains. Lasted 3 days.
    So you don’t have to be sitting on a moral high horse to survive Covid.

      In fairness to IRD, they will not do audits at the whim of politicians etc since this would compromise the integrity of the tax system which IRD is legally obliged to uphold. Some years ago a IRD employee had a gripe about her landlord which caused another staff member to see if the landlord was declaring rental income. Even though the landlord was found to be not declaring rents received, IRD management ruled that initiating an investigation in such circumstances was unacceptable.
      The IRS in USA had a similar problem some years ago with politicians and others requesting particular people to be audited and decided they would not do audits unless there were valid grounds to audit.

      Re Shares: A number of banks have an ethical investment funds eg ASB for investing in line with your ethics and values and it invests in clean energy, climate, clean water, affordable housing.
      
      But the very nature of the fund is investing in line with your politics so why is there only one investment fund as if there is only one set of issues.
      
      I’d like to see an ethical investment fund that addressed the growing power imbalance of the big globalists. Eg one that specifically doesn’t invest in blackrock, vanguard, amazon, facebook, anything with bill gates or pfizer, moderna, anyone whose CEO attends WEF or Davos. I’d like to see a fund that invests in liberalism and democracy. Eg companies that didn’t mandate, and that support liberalism. I’d like to see NZ farmers and innovation supported.

      I too had the misfortune of taking an Air NZ flight in December, and offered appropriate feedback.
      In truth, I’d rather enjoy a 6-8 hour road trip than humiliate myself with the pompous cattle truck mentality that is today’s monopolistic Air NZ experience.
      Having said that even that simple pleasure of ‘taking a roadie’ is being deliberately eroded by our own government. The the ideological partnership between NZP and NZTA is deliberately discouraging driving in NZ. This myopic obsession about speed is infuriating, and completely at the expense of real world accident causal factors like poor driving standards, impairment (drugs and drink), distraction (texting).
      In the city where I live, you can openly observe drivers visibly tapping away on their phones, often whilst simultaneously eating fast food, combing hair and doing make up, or performing some other ridiculous distraction.

    Road traffic lights are easy. As long as I have been driving, there have only been three colours: Green for go with care, Orange for stop unless you can’t safely do so and Red for stop.
    
    Covid traffic lights are not. Red seems to mean different things depending on what kind of red it is – I think there have been at least two different types so far, or is it three? Goodness knows what the other two will mean, if we ever see them.

    Watching a bar owner on the news last night claim she will continue mandates, I couldn’t help but wonder how long she’ll be in business. People will soon get used to no ‘papers please’ and when asked by a small number of hold-out establishments, will likely demur out of principle. In the case of bars, there are plenty of others to choose from. I thought she was an idiot.

    This is all going way beyond logic and reason, and is now delving into state sponsored discrimination.
    As I’ve posted before, the private sector must return to a common sense position ASAP in order to remain competitive.
    
    FACT: C19 was brought into NZ by a vaccinated person(s), so there describes the true efficacy of the vaccine in protecting both parties.
    
    Any such theoretical restaurant that wishes to virtue signal about the ‘safety and health’ in the interests of its clientele should be equally challenged when the next clinically obese couple arrive (vaccine passes in hand). Let’s consider the relative vulnerability of someone in such poor health, and the greater likelihood of their weaker immune system being compromised (i.e. carrying some infection).
    
    Best no one should even sneeze in a busy restaurant, otherwise you might have to evacuate, compensate the patrons and do a deep cleanse!
    
    Like I’ve said this is all going way beyond logic and reason, so ditch the (discriminatory) vaccine pass requirement now.

      Correction Jim. Covid 19 was NOT brought into the country by a vaccinated person – there were no vaccines available in February 2020 when Covid arrived.
      However, the DELTA variant WAS brought into the country in 2021 by a vaccinated person. 🙂

  We’ve known since early 2020 that this virus kills a small percentage of the elderly and those with health problems. There really is nothing that different at a society level from the Diamond Princess:
  
  712 became infected with the virus – 567 of 2,666 passengers, and 145 of 1,045 crew. Figures for total deaths vary from early to later assessments, and because of difficulties in establishing causation. As many as 14 are reported to have died from the virus, all of them older passengers – an overall mortality rate for those infected of 2%

  I haven’t been able to get out much due to the covid restrictions. I won’t go into any business asking for a mask or a pass. But based on my limited knowledge of who the worst of these people are, I will nominate Auckland Council.
  When I asked them for a copy of their process for deciding that I was a medical risk to others and therefore I was barred from accessing any of the facilities or services I help pay for, I was sent an opinion piece from an online opinion piece site called “The Conversation”. This was the “science” they based their decision on.
  As an interesting aside, I did a bit of research on “The Conversation” as it seemed to be a very biased site. I noticed the comments sections are heavily censored. I noticed Michael Baker and Michael Plank are reasonably regular contributors. I noticed that “The Conversation” was funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. Well colour me shocked.

      I shouldn’t have been, but I was a little shocked that they were funded by Gates. It becomes so bloody obvious that there will be massive conflict of interest. Like Baker’s Otago University, their Infection Group receives funding from The Gates Foundation and GAVI. Both massive proponents and financial beneficiaries from vaccines.     I would nominate any golf course that mandated vaccines to play. This was not required by the government or even golf nz. Course took it upon themselves to enforce it. You know, walking around by yourself on 20 acres… really dangerous stuff.
    
    Can understand entry to the bar as covered by law (of course that I’d wrong too but they are just complying as you would expect) but to ban the un vaxxed from the course makes no sense.
    
    A few good ones did passes only for the bar and let alcomers play.
    
    My favorite though was a course that had no restrictions whatsoever, except for a post it note on one toilet cubicle door that said “unvaccinated only”. Of course it wasn’t a full height door and shared the air with the rest of the changing rooms!

  I just don’t get the blanket mandates in organizations like Air NZ. I am (was) a contractor working outside, away from everyone. This is not allowed. Flying with them on a negative RAT is fine though. No logic.
  I thought under OSHA businesses were obliged to carry out (and review) role-specific requirements to ensure suitability.
  Also, I’m going to start using the term “bio-fascists” from now on

  I would nominate PWC who I think were the first major private corporate to ban the unvaccinated from their premises. They may have dropped the requirement now as most sensible businesses will do but their enthusiasm to discriminate has ensured I will never deal with them again.
  I look forward to testing out the unmasked and no vaccine pass approach in various hospitality venues around Wellington over the next few weeks and will report back to KBer’s all that are unwilling to receive my custom.

    I work for a business that banned all/any unvaccinated from their premises. I’ve also been told to not meet with any of my team outside the office as ‘the power imbalance might make them feel unable to decline, thereby causing them pain’. This ends in May. I’m very much looking forward to a normal, sit-down coffee and chat with my team. It will have been 5 months of Zoom.

  I will nominate the Wokewhare, nominally known as The Firowhare who very quickly jumped the gun and “asked” their workers to agree to mandating vaccines even though they didn’t have to. It was good they ” asked” them, however it was a done deal in conjunction with the union prior.
  
  They wanted pr headlines to show how much they cared? Bit like their woke representative , one of the cabal paid for by the taxpayer ( assumption) to go with James to the global climate change conference burning more fossil fuels.
  
  Not only that but when the crisis happened in 2020 prior to vaccines, they offered workers the option to drop pay by certain % or consider alternative options which may include redundancy. Having offered this those who could not afford or swallow the pay cut, looked to keep their job without being made redundant were given no other option. It was clear there were no other options than redundancy, a lie to their own workers.
  
  One week after many took redundancy, the Wokehouse due to profits which they knew before the redundancies were made, then said they were now giving the pay cuts back to those who took a pay drop.
  
  The main reason for their nomination however is the claim to be an organisation praising diversity of thought and inclusiveness to all, but instituting medical apartheid under the mask of health and safety.
  
  To add insult to injury, their insufferable move to embrace the great reset, playing Klaus 4th industrial revolution to their workers and seeing the opportunity to be the corporate communist NZ face of retail.
  
  Te Warehaus is simply a vehicle to propagandise the global communist agenda.

  We must not accept co-governance. It will mean the end of one person and one vote. It will mean the end of representative democracy.
  
  What it will mean is the reintroduction of primitive tribal rule and the end of a coherent country.

  UNDRIP is not a treaty, therefore it is not binding in international law. New Zealand has previously made its position on this clear to the UN as Yvette points out. Seymour needs to take better advice. You cannot allow the contention to become widely accepted that somehow we must fulfil an obligation to the UN when there is none.

I went for a Sunday drive along Transmission Gully. A steady stream of traffic in both directions suggests that others were doing likewise. It was an odd feeling to drive through scenery that was completely new to me, even though it’s just a few miles from home.

I thought that the drive is much easier than Ngauranga Gorge – less steep & shallower curves. The uphill stretches have a truck lane. However, there were noticeable patches where the road surface looked worn, not the billiard table you’d expect of a motorway with just four days under its belt.

Anyway, it’s nice to see a return on the $1.2B, in sharp contrast to the shockingly poor spending over the last four years

  It’s a beautifully engineered road and the scenery is great. The roadside planting is also coming along nicely.
  
  I timed my journey back from Mackays Crossing to Upper Hutt: 26 minutes.
  
  It used to take 40+ minutes via the Paekakariki Hill Road or via Plimmerton.
  
  It will be great when Peka Peka to the other side of Otaki is also open. I’m guessing that will save another 10 minutes, depending on time and day of travel.

  The real issue is that vax injuries are often seen as unprovable. Someone has a sudden heart issue mere weeks after getting vaxed – you can’t prove it was the vax. Basically, unless the person fell over immediately after getting the vax, it doesn’t count.

  What could make more sense is to pull the batteries out and send the batteryless cars on normal car carriers. Then ship the batteries themselves in some other vessel more suited to the job.
  
  That way if the batteries catch fire then just the batteries burn – not all the rest of the vehicle.
  
  Of course loading and unloading unpowered vehicles would take longer though…

    Thinking the same, Containerise the Batteries and segregate as per IMDG Code and cars seperately.
    
    Regardless, The costs of getting them here will exponetianally rise.

    A great idea, shipping the batteries separately, but can you imagine the cost? It Rather than a ship with a few hundred batteries it would be a few thousand. I can only imagine the fire risk equipment that would be required let alone the paperwork etc?
    The extra costs would certainly negate any (taxpayer funded) subsidy from the government.

Our new water authority, apart from seeking the gift of an English name (for a suitable fee), could usefully produce some history for us. I would like to know, from the early 1990’s when asset management plans were introduced to today, how well each Council has done in following them. I’d also like to know what the depreciation charges on water assets have been over that time and what the spending on repairs, maintenance and new assets has been, as well as the political persuasions of the dominant groups on Council.

I suspect the picture could be quite enlightening.

  Many moons ago I presented to a local authority a 10 year asset management plan calling for $4.5 Billion of spending on new (critical infrastructure) works, maintenance and renewals and with 600 pages of supporting information detailing the benefits and costs of doing so and the risks of not.
  
  At the end of the planning cycle this had been whittled down to 3.5 Billion while hundreds ons hundreds of millions had been found annually for ‘nice to haves’ in comparison.
  
  To say those elected representatives let us down by those choices back then is a massive understatement.

The radio blurb tells us that the winter flu vaccine is now available and it is free for some. Yep, that time of the year again but the blurb adds that this vaccine is a ‘prescription medicine’ and should be treated as such by reading any side effects. Then we get the covid ad imploring whanau and tamariki to get their booster to ‘keep us all safer’ and ‘if you have any concerns then speak with us’. Now, is not the booster a prescription medicine and therefore should we not read about side effects?

  Even worse, the covid booster is without doubt, an experiment. The fraudulent trials and data from Pfizer is slowly being exposed. There was never any mention of “boosters” when this jab was first advocated. There can be no doubt they are making this up as they go along.
  Two years ago I was considering getting the flu vaccine for the first time as I had recently turned 60. After watching and listening to the lies and misinformation coming out of the MoH, and realising that Medsafe approved this jab without doing thorough investigation into the safety of it, I won’t be going near the flu jab or any other.

A Motueka marae is to receive nearly $10m of public funding to build houses for its members. Very worthy, I’m sure. No word in the article whether this is a loan or a gift. If the latter then there should be real questions in the Govt giving taxpayers’ money to a group to construct houses that not all citizens can access.

It would also be interesting to test the ‘nearly $10m’. What due diligence has been done? Will there be monitoring to see where the money actually goes. Has this cost been included in the nearly $10m, or is it additional?

Because, let’s be clear, $10m is a lot of money. It’s bigger than some Treaty settlements, and this cash does not appear to be linked to any settlement. So, presumably it’s extra.

Back in the day, you would expect an investment to have a financial return; nowadays Labour often present social good outcomes as a return on investment.     Hydrogen is a terrible idea, but it sounds cool to people who do not understand physics.
    
    Hydrogen cannot be dug out of the ground or whatever. It has to be manufactured from other energy sources and there are basically two:
    
    * Chemical: Start with methane (CH4) or whatever, then react it in some way to split the hydrogen from the other elements. This leaves waste products and is hugely wasteful of energy. eg. if it was goming from methane, you’d do far better to burn the methane.
    
    * Electrolysis: Use electricity to split hater into hydrogen and oxygen. Again, hugely wasteful. The hydrogen energy produced is way less than the electrical energy put in. You’d do better to use the electricity directly.
    
    Further, once you have hydrogen it’s hard stuff to work with.
    
    If you’re going to store it as a gas, you need very high pressures (900 bar or so – 4x the pressure in SCUBA tanks) to make it viable. Pumping the stuff around is hard. Impractical.
    
    If you’re going to store it as a liquid you need cryogenic storage. Completely impractical. Just call that one impossible.
    
    The only real way to do it is with absorbtion (eg. metal hydrides). Even then the density is low, reducing how practical this can be.
    
    So while hydrogen might sound sexy, it’s quite another thing to make it work in the real world.

ell played England in the Cricket World Cup final, but all hail the champion Australian side which was a class above every other team in the event. The innings from Alyssa Healy yesterday was as good as you would see anywhere, and Nat Sciver’s unbeaten knock in England’s reply was outstanding.

Despite crowd restrictions for most of the tournament and the disappointing performance of the home team, this tournament has been a huge success. Hagley Oval looked an absolute picture yesterday with a big crowd in attendance, and the standard of pitches throughout the tournament has been excellent. If this doesn’t give the women’s game in New Zealand a shot in the arm, nothing will.

The 12,000 m2 sheds have been granted Christchurch City Council consent but still need E Can approval.
In short, no bobby calves, no nutrient leaching, no odour, excellent animal welfare and increased jobs and export earnings.
Dry compost is cleared every year or two and spread to land, ‘with no increase in permitted/authorised nutrient loads.
There are more than 30 composting barns throughout the country, with a further 20 to be built in the next 12 months.
To be fair to Eugenie Sage, her arguments included the lack of public consultation and proximity to Lake Ellesmere.

Well after a rough week, I’m into the home straight of Covid now. It hit me pretty hard, with a rough 48 hours in the middle there, and now just pretty exhausted.

I’ve actually had people say to me, including during that 48 hours, ‘thank goodness for the vaccine, or you’d be much worse’. I don’t know whether to laugh or cry at such idiocy. Not to mention that after my second dose I got Shingles and was in various degrees of pain for 6 weeks.

I’m in my 40s, very fit and healthy with no other health conditions. I do think this could hit frail people hard but I’ve heard of examples where they’ve had a more mild case than me so who really knows.

What I do know is that putting lives on hold for 2 years, destroying our economy, dividing our society was really not worth it.

    the wife and I had a shingles vaccine when it cost $200 each dose, no side effects. However the first C19 jab did have a side effect when about 3 weeks after it I woke one morning with spinning vision and later vomiting. It took about a week for the vertigo to clear and no, this is the first I have ever experienced in my life. The second didn’t trigger vertigo but I refuse to take the booster.

  I had second dose in my right arm, and shortly afterwards it became painful and unable to lift it above my shoulder. I can still write with it, although now a bit shaky, and still use it to drive – but cannot lift with it, or start lawnmower with it, and have given up applying handbrake in my truck.
  
  At least I now know where I will get any future doses of anything – I doubt it could get any worse !

Watched 1 News at 6pm on Saturday, it must have been a slow news day (no viruses, no wars….) as the lead story was a feature on misinformation.

The introduction talked about how misinformation was getting out of hand, and as an example they cited people believing that there are reptile people among us, the PMs fiance is in prison, and covid is not real.

They then went on to interview two women, one who spent a lot of time watching conspiracy theory podcasts about reptile people, and one whose breast-feeding group said that keeping your kids unvaxed was the safest thing for them, and it took her 12 years to work out they were wrong.

Nowhere in the actual article did they mention the PMs fiance.

This made me suspicious that this was a deliberate attempt to dispel rumours which were embarassing to the government.

Also, does this mean he’s out on bail? /sarc

  BTW, I see that the “Spanish” flu is still around, just not as virulent as it was when an estimated 1/3 of the world’s population were infected and had clinically apparent illnesses. The final week on the mine site saw the removal of all remaining infrastructure, hired equipment, ICT decommissioning, NZ Police uplifting remaining PRCL and SENZ ICT equipment, and the surrender of resource consents and mining permit. These surrender notices are posted on the Agency’s website.
The last day onsite for operations is today (Thursday 31 March),

I remember when

I have spent some time reviewing the Caleb Clarke ‘red card’ by a close to frame-by-frame replay.
It is clear that many who have commented in various media have not done so.
Interesting points are –
Both of Caleb Clarke’s feet had left the ground ‘before’ the ball was kicked.
He jumped towards the sideline and at no time could be considered to travel towards Alosio.
Alosio ran into Clarke, so any argument was about what rights Clarke had.
The situation was compromised by the second Blues player coming across field into the area and possibly bumping Alosio, before the contact.
When he kicked the ball Alosio was about 4-5 metres away from Clarke who was almost motionless.
Still, like the Government, the officials must be seen to be doing something, whether its right or wrong.

Now here’s a dudge really going out of her way to out-dudge all others…

A 23 year old goes on a one-man crime spree including theft of a vehicle, burglary, theft of petrol, driving without a license, dangerous driving, speeding, running a light and attempting to use a vehicle as a weapon.

Many of these should have earned a stretch in prison.

But no, the judge gives him some supervision and home D, then blames much of his offending on not having a license. Then says it is corrections’ job to ensure he gets lessons and gets a driver’s license.
It looks like the taxpayer will be fronting for driving lessons.

Sweet to be a crim eh?

What a example our Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern gives to our young people like every other day that she calls a press conference she is again late , is there anything she can do right as she is paid enough money to get it right. She treats people with disdain and it’s just plain ignorance from someone in her position.

  Someone in our Thai whanau was being presented with a degree by the Crown Prince, now King.
  He was two or three hours late, which is apparently normal, and you can’t complain, you’ll wind up in prison.

Talking to one of the girls from tennis earlier.
She was telling me her Nephew attends a Boarding School just out of Auckland.

Last week, they allowed a group from ‘Rainbow Youth’ to attend the school, to speak with Year 12 & 13 boys. Among other matters, they discussed providing support and advocacy for queer, gender-diverse and intersex youth.

Prue was saying the thing his parents found most disturbing, was when they heard the group had also raised the subject about the normalcy of anal sex.

Fortunately, her nephew is leaving at the end of this Term. He’s been accepted into the Royal NZ Ballet Company.

The PM has surprised me this afternoon. I thought she was going to move Auckland and other parts of the North Island to orange, but tweak the rules so it would effectively be the same as red but she would be able to tell us how kind she is giving us freedoms by moving us to orange.

If you thought that Kiwis would be flooding back into the country now that restrictions have been lifted, you would have been wrong. Not only has there been a nett loss of about 80,000 over the last two years, but after a couple of weeks of arrivals exceeding departures, it’s back to more leaving than arriving by hundreds each day.
