Animal Hearse Vehicles
July 29th, 2006 at 10:24 am by David FarrarOh this is hilarious. If your vehicle is a hearse, then your vehicle registration drops from $260 to $58. Now this includes animal as well as human hearse.
A woman has classified her vehicle as an animal hearse because she used it to carry dead chickens home from the supermarket!!!
LTSA is not impressed and have said:
“A hearse is a vehicle that is used to transport dead people in the funeral industry, it is not a vehicle you use to carry groceries home from the supermarket.”
Heh.

Apparently they are going ballistic about this, with all sorts of threats about misuse of documents, fraudulance etc. It is a surprise that all the Labour MP’s haven’t already done this. TFP could have got some illegal immigrants to run around for $0.50/Hour sorting out the paperwork for all of them. DBP could stuff tennis balls down the throats of anyone who objected and Helen could have said move on if there were any questions in the house.

I applaud the initiative shown by the lady…but why should funeral directors get such a concession. They certainly don’t pass the savings onto the cost of a funeral.

I was also wondering why funeral directors get a concession and the only thing I could think of was perhaps it’s a reduction in the ACC levies. No chance of hospital costs for the passenger if the car is involved in an accident.
Either that or a Labour MP had a side line funeral directors business at some stage.

Good fucking job, the LTSA are nothing but a bunch of blood sucking parasites what do they except, of course people are going to try to screw the system. I wonder how much more revenue these wankers raise every time they increase road charges. I would be willing to bet for every increase LTSA implements it costs them more in lost revenue, don’t these dickheads realise that you can only get so much blood out of the people, it would be different if this money went on roads but no if goes to shinny arse dickheads trying to justity their right to breath air, enough said,

I can’t see why they should be so annoyed at this women?
When Labour deliberately overspent with their Election Pledge Cards, their pat line was “perhaps the laws around this area need to be clarified”.
When Labour MP Taito Phillip Field’s conduct was found to be less than a typical MP’s conduct, Speaker Wilson suggested “Perhaps we need to clarify this with a code of conduct”
Whenever any person pushes the legal limits of the laws, surely it just means the laws need to be clarified?
