No whities says Turia

February 26th, 2007 at 12:43 pm by David Farrar

Tariana Turia says she wants less immigration, as it stops the browning of New Zealand and she is most concerned about traditional source countries like Australia, Canada and Great Britain.

Sigh.

I’m not brown enough to be part of a race now. :(

    Dear Tariana

Immigration will not only stop the browning it was also counter the dumbimg down given that 53% of all Maori boys leave school without any skills. In my retirement I will require people to work to pay taxes to provide my superannuation and medicare.Having all these Maori boys grow up to be men on welfare benefits impregnating Maori girls on the DPB will not contribute to the tax take.
I suggest you start to figure out why you and all the other so called Maori leaders have failed your people over such a long period.
Then you will start to be part of teh solution instead of part of the problem

    Yours respectfully

Thanks Tariana for making racial stereotyping now okay.
So if this sort of comment is now permissible lets have a few more ideas floated.
We need to reintroduce the 10 pound pom, lets double the population and then double it again.
    Benefits;
    Lots more currency coming in.
    Lots more economic activity.
A population that can support manufacturing (scale).
Lots more white people to support the brown ones through taxation.
    Disadvantages;
Silly accents (personally I would exclude anybody who hails from north of Petereborough to eliminate the northern monkey accents).
    A bit more whinging.

Obviously they would need to be settled outside of Auckland. I would suggest Whangerai, Hawkes bay and the South Island. The bay of plenty is struggling with infrastructure which is why I have excluded that region. Make them settle in these cities as a condition of subsidised passage. Making them settle in shitholes like hamilton, taranaki, palmie or hellington would probably be a deal breaker for most people.
Doubling and then doubling again may sound high but that would still only make 16 million which is a long way short of the population in The UK. people who say the UK is overcrowded are either stupid, haven’t been there or if they have, they never traveled outside of the main cities.

This should be a winner for tariana if the increased tax take is explained to her in the correct manner. The grievance industry would get a whole new puff of energy and could stretch on until the day after the end of time.

I’m pleased to see that Turiana continues to make no secret of her apparently innate racism. It amazes me that so many people praise the Maori Party on this issue and that issue, when its very foundation is the idea of racial seperation and special treatment for one race. No matter what the issue, in the end no good can ever come of a party with such a repellent ideological cornerstone.

Any party who deals with them is tainted with the same racist and ideologically perverted brush. Don Brash was right. John Key is wrong.

How wonderful that Tariana has declared herself to be a Maori racist. Seems only fair to respond in kind. Has she noticed the correlation between the fall in NZ living standards in the last 30 years and the increase in the numbers of brown people ? All the Maoris and recent immigrants from the Pacific Islands are of course queuing up to be medical doctors, engineers, software developers, engineers….that we all need. Aren’t they ? Noticed the huge numbers departing to Australia and other points yet Tariana and wonder why they go ? Notice the fall in numbers of doctors who are native NZers? Do you have a Maori doctor Tariana ? I’d like one, unfortunately they don’t exist ! Let’s be blunt about it Tariana, the brown people of NZ are the exploiters, the plunderers of the working people of NZ, the ones who rip off the working classes in NZ, by refusing to join in the real world. And don’t go on about my racism Tariana, I had my fill of Maori racism in Rotorua in the 60′s, don’t get me started on that !

Does Turiana understand what a brown NZ really means? Look at Tonga, Fiji, the Cooks, Tuvalu, Tokelau. Those are Pacific “nations”. Unrelenting poverty and having to grovel to rich countries for “aid” to fund basic social services. Hell, I excluded Samoa, but Samoa is only one step further up the ladder.

Those countries are brilliant examples of what we have in store for us if we can’t break the polynesian tradition of incompetent venal leadership (Taito anyone?) and lack of respect for education.

So Tariana, no, I don’t want any part of your vision for the future, and I think you’ll find a considerable number of Maori have wised up to it as well (could be why so much Maori talent is in Australia and the UK of course?).

There is actually a very high percentage of white liberals who immigrate to NZ and support the indigenious rights of Maori, so in affect the “whities” are actualy helping out the Maori Party.

It is a different story with Asians/Indians etc who don’t give a shit for the Treaty and all the rest. They have no so called collective colonial guilt. She is actually likely to find this group more obstructive to her plans that the “Whities”. Every Waitangi Day there are TV interviews about NZ Day vs Waitangi Day and on average 100% of Asians/Indians state they have no interest in the Treaty and it is irrevelant to them.

As I said before they are part of the problem and need to get into the 21st century. The real reason they dont want immigrants is because these people wont take any of their crapola and guilt tripping. Talk to the Chinese recent immigrants Look at how they work their butts off. Look at how their children take all the prizes at schools and universtities. Hear them complain about how hard it is. No way. They come here put their heads down and bums up and get on with it. Barnsley Bill, I wrote all of Winston’s speeches leading up to 1996 (when NZ First hit 30% in the polls on the back of publicity surrounding its immigration policy) and I can assure you she is not “following Winston’s speech notes”.

This is about Turia’s policy not Winston’s circa 1996 (goodness knows what it is now) and I don’t want to hijack the thread. But NZF’s immigration policy was, in a nutshell, about stopping migrants of any hue from buying their way in with “investment” in an unproductive asset (e.g. a McMansion) and instead making it attractive for migrants of any hue with the skills NZ needs and who were prepared to accept NZ values while retaining their own. Oh, and about doubling the number of genuine refugees we took (in 1996 it was 700).

That’s why one third of the voters supported it at the time. Then Michael Laws got hold of it and his innate racism made it a racial issue and the party deservedly plummeted again.

But don’t compare Turia’s race-based policy with the merit-based policy we advanced at that time.

And southern raider has it absolutely right – skin colour is no guarantee of acceptance of values. If someone merely has to pass through a “hue-o-meter” to gain entry, we’re not more guaranteed a functional and harmonious society than if they’re allowed in based solely on the size of their wallet.

I agree gd. What I find not acceptable is immigrants who come here and expect things as their rights. Speaking as a Brit who has a successful SME and employs kiwis..

the deal should be when in Rome respect it – and don’t expect special treatment. Embrace the country you’ve chosen and who has accepted you. Don’t whinge on about compromise of beliefs etc and don’t not integrate into the culture (like some Asians can do with extended families)

Our problem will be when the immigrants don’t assimilate into society or as is now when the Maori party keep perpetuating the separatism.

The other issue is welfare which needs a good long overhaul – time to stop rewarding fraudsters and benefit cheats and stop paying for teenagers to have more kids which will end up in crime and or abuse – if these are the increased ‘brown’ numbers she wants then God help us and we can paddle the Maori canoe down the proverbial

But her comments aside, people just love to take anything she says and use it as an excuse to bash Maori back. There are some of us here who have never been on the “dole”, love and care for our children, work hard and actually do care about the future of this country.

Stop using things other people say to further your own negative views.

“Maori are already represented in parliament, even more so than any other race”

I think you will find that is not quite true.

KMON – The point is Maori rightly complain when non Maori are critical of them based on skin colour/race so it does seem somewhat hypocritical when Maori make racist comments and Maori and their supporters are not as vocal in complaining – level playing field!

Sonic – totally true! What other group in this country get representation because of who they are or the colour of their skin, none other than Maori.

Rumpole – Maori quite rightly complain full stop! I can’t remember any non Maori throwing out an unprovoked attack as Turia has just launched, can you?

Well Culma, white males seem to have a rather large representation in Parliament, do you think that has anything to do with the colour of their skin?

“I can’t remember any non Maori throwing out an unprovoked attack as Turia has just launched, can you?”

You must have rather a short memory mate, white people have been known to be racist you know.

Culma, Maori may have some representation in parliament, but as I said the Treaty is a partnership/contract between the crown and Maori. We as NZers can’t get away from that.

Turia is trying to make the point that Maori issues may be ignored, due the the dilution of their numbers because of immigration.

I also don’t think this issue is particularly tribal, it affects all Maori.

Sonic. No one here is your ‘mate’. Become a man who can deliver an intelligent argument or, have an opinion of your own, and we might reconsider. In the meantime you’re all ‘sonic’ without the boom.

    Dear Tariana

I suggest that the Crown negotiate Tangata Whenua to determine the most appropriate pecentage of natural-born-white-skinned-evil doers that should be allowed in this country of theirs, Aotearoa – and them – yes – mass deportation; or otherwise, some kind of mass breeding programme for all brown skinned angels – untouched by the original sin of colonialism (perhaps, modeled on the successful examples of Porirua or South Auckland). This percentage could be capped at say, the top tax bracket.

Of course, once this percentage is achieved, it would be in the Country’s interest to cease deportation and prevent the emmigration of the remaining white-skins. This shouldn’t be too difficult; We could simply smash all the aeroplanes.

Halting the breeding programme would be much more difficult.

Humbly yours with all the respect due to you, original man, blameless and without sin.
