Responsible Drinking
December 7th, 2007 at 1:00 pm by David FarrarThe video is from 42 below about drinking responsibly over the holiday season. To do their part for safe drinking, 42 below are providing chauffeur driven cars from 7 pm to 11 pm to groups of 2 – 3 who between them collect six stamps (one stamp per 42 below drink). So a great way to get home if you’ve been enjoying their product.

I don’t really like their stuff to be honest. The plain Vodka is fine, the flavored stuff is gross.
Good idea though.

infused:
What about the stuff that’s… pardon the expression… infused with things like real chocolate andfresh fruit that they sell by the glass at Lenin’s in Auckland (or did, when I last frequented the area)?
I’m not one for over-indulgence usually, but it’s the adult equivalent of being a kid in a candy store.

So safe and responsible drinking is being driven home and not playing with a cow after getting hammered on 42 below.
Safedrinking is not getting blind pissed every weekend and needing a liver transplant at 40.

There’s always one who will find a problem with an idea like this – Kisekiman you’d complain at a funeral wouldn’t you!
How about considering that I can go out have three drinks and be over and then use the vehicle – Surely that’s a good idea?

Can’t find any mention of the deal on the 42below site. So can I get six tickets at one establishment, then get a free limo to another bar…and so on or do I have to be driven home by the limo?

I have no problem with the idea that driving while drunk is bad Yeti, that’s a no brainer.
I was criticising the notion that safe drinking somehow has nothing to do with binge drinking. The ad seems to imply that it is just silly rather than actually hazardous.
Check this out for some sobering reading.

Ah for God’s sake. According to ALAC, if you have more than three beers at a time, that’s a binge. Where I come from a binge lasts at least two days, but that’s by-the-by. The increasing hysteria over alcohol leads me to drink more.

“safe drinking somehow has nothing to do with binge drinking.”
Next they’ll be talking about safe sex and binge sex.
Hmm,, wonder how they’ll police binge sex.
Probably start with a tv campaign over summer
No hubba huba went right over my head and obviously every one else I was having binge sex with.
what about a golf scenario
“Keep the putt putt binge on the fringe”
No, all the chicks shave these days, fringe would make no sense.
“If you want a hole in one, rubber your clubber”
starting to get there.
How about this for a door slam in the face sex binge free introduction
“Hullo, my name is D4J.”

Responsible drinking my arse, as a now deceased liquor barons sales manager said to me “we aren`t interested in a community profile, we just want to pour our booze down kids throats” responsible industry-yeah right!
