Agreed, DPF. This is the sort of populism that in local government keeps Tim Shadbolt elected in Invercargill and Michael Laws elected in Whanganui, and will also no doubt serve Paula well.

Somehow I don’t recollect you demanding his supporters ‘engage more with the substance of policy’. It was more like ‘toke up, and vote Green’.
In my view, voters are surprised and delighted to see an MP who isn’t so swollen with self-importance (Exhibit One – a certain J Tizard) that they can still take the piss out of themselves.

You really don’t get where I am coming from, do you? I agree with you re Tizard – she was the worst MP to ever become a Minister, although Benson-Pope, Field and Peters probably blotted their copybooks mor than Tizard after becoming Ministers.
But Tizards’s track record re achievement (or lack thereof) has to be the worst. Don’t accuse me of being a Labour stoolie bobux! I have no more time for Labour’s populist, bigoted, and unprincipled politics than I do for that of the Nats.
Just have a look at Mallard vacillalting on section 59 over at Red Alert until he saw which way the wind was blowing.
At least the Greens front up, however unpopular their position may be, because they are a party of principle.

The car is made by Nissan-S-Cargo taken after the french’s citroen delivery wagon. Toad, it is only 1500 CC and carries two people, but loads of stuff in the back being a van. It puts less carbon in the air than what you greenies drive. You should be happy she drives it. If you are bagging on her reputation, then you should bag on Sue Bradford’s as well. Lately, she has been bringing the word “democracy” in her arguments. She doesn’t know what democracy means. By the way, this car is over 20 years old. I think it is a great symbolism of what you can do with little money and a great imagination. I applaud her for it.

The Greens are the biggest bunch bunch of crooks in the house, you campaign on a lie, you rort the system to get Red Russ into the house so he can solicit votes at my expense, for years and years you have released “policy” documents that are uncosted, you make claims that are obviously false, you have no time for, or interest in, democracy and worst of all most of your unelected MP’s hide their true political leanings.
The Greens are many things Toad, a party of “principal” they are most definitely not.
