Re #1: so we should just give up entirely and not bother coming up with new industries to see if NZ could be innovators in that field (e.g. space rocket, Aquada, personal jetpack).
Apart from that, yes the Buy Kiwi campaign was a sham, especially with that moron Oliver Driver heading it.
