All out

All 33 miners have been rescued after 70 odd days trapped in a mine. It has been gripping viewing.  Damn insects got into my eyes a couple of times.

Quite emotive, watching brave professionals going about their tasks and of course many others are doing equally brave acts to sort out messes the world over without the glare of the media scrum. I couldn’t help wincing every time some daft commentator tested “Murphey’s” law as they assumed all would go well till the last man surfaces when we all know counting chickens while they are still in eggs is fraught with danger.
Idiot instant experts, talking heads testing fate when this whole operation is subject to many risks with disaster only a mechanical failure away.
    Phew great result.

Book deals, film rights…they’ll never need to work again is my guess.

Quite right too. I think it’s entirely fair that these men should never have to go down a mine again.

JS and beautox – I respectfully suggest you underestimate the phsychie of miners.
I suspect a good proportion will “go back down”.
