They’re trying to associate the blue team with the word no and the red team to having a plan and a vision (to create growth etc).

Mr Mallard, the Hutt South MP, said he was a huge fan of the Wellington film industry but “one of our strengths is our originality and this is a pale imitation of the Hollywood sign which makes us look like try hards”.

He was amazed that the sign had been resurrected after so much controversy the first time around.

“Frankly I don’t think we need a sign,” Mr Mallard said, adding that a giant weta, symbolising Peter Jackson’s Weta workshop, would be far preferable.

Mr Mallard is A HUGE FAN of the Wellington film industry. Wow, do the rest of his party feel the same and what about the unions?

One really has to wonder if there is some sort of subliminal ‘Fifth-Column’ at work within the minds of those within the Labour Party who are authorising these sorts of schemes – a ‘pre-programmed’ ‘fail’ l if you will.

That it there is so consistent and repeated failure for their advertising programmes, and that these failures continue to be promoted ad nauseum and ad infinitum is an absolute wonder to behold.

Surely there isn’t a ‘pro-National Party’ ‘Mole’ amongst the Labour Leaderhip – or is there?

Watching what is happening, again and again and again, one really has to ask . . .

Labour’s latest announcement is more of the same brainless empire building of more red tape and bureaucracy in order to ‘solve’ societies problems.

People want less government, not more.

Who represents children’s interests?

Well, how about the Ministry of Social Development and the Ministry of Education and The Ministry of Health for starters.

Also the bloody obvious – their parents!!!

It makes you want to weep with frustration that this lot had 9 years to do something about child abuse and neglect and after nearly 3 years on the opposition benches this is their policy?

How about ramping up education and support through the above existing departments to help educate, upskill and support young, at-risk families? I believe there are programmes already in place via Whanau Ora for starters, so the current government is already mindful of and working with its coalition partenrs in addressing issues relating to children.

The problem isn’t the children, it’s their parents you dumbos!!!

Their announcement to do away with the Families Commissioner is their way of getting back at Peter Dunne. What a bunch of spiteful, lame, unimaginative plonkers.

Clueless politically correct nonsense and a complete waste of time and tax funds.

National’s plan seems to me to be to reduce borrowing, cut government spending and fund infrastructure via a partial sell off of certain state assets, increase the savings rate via the Kiwisaver changes and let people keep the money they earn in their pockets to make their own decisions on how to allocate it to suit their own lives/situation.

The overtaxed – well the top 13% pay over half the personal tax take, the other 87% of us contribute the rest. We were overtaxed under Labour, both in PAYE, RWT and their 12.5% GST (National’s part is is only 2.5%).

What is King on about. She seems to think that the child abuse problem only started in nov 2008. What the hell was she up to for the nine years of child abuse that took place on her watch as minister of social welfare (or development or some other bloody name for the biggest spending department of them all).

Funny how all socialists have a fixation with having a year zero when they assume power.

So Annette announces the creation of a new ministry of children, and this is meant to be part of a plan?

How many agencies exist for the welfare of children, and how will the creation of one more make any difference to the fact that children are being killed? All that will create is more cost and one more talking head that looks sad for the cameras when another James Whakaruru, Delcelia Witika or Nia Glassie hits the headlines.

Yet more victims of the low waged welfare dependancy cycle they helped create.

What a classic example of political expediency:

When the Families Commission was launched, Labour was all over it like the proverbial rash, trumpeting about how revolutionary it was and how it gave families a voice, and that it showed that ‘Labour cared about the instution of the family’. (Remember? The media was full of it).

Five or so years onwards that self-same political party is now saying that that exact-same Commission is now extremely expensive and an example of how unconnected National is with ‘the real world’.

That they originally promoted it is of course a very inconvenient truth and something thst it is hoped ‘the sheeples’ will forget.

As I said, a classic case of political expediency, and the additionally-odd thing is that the Green’s, who are normally SOO vocal about such things (especially if National mentions them) haven’t said a words in response. Birds of a feather it seems.

Should we be surprised?

(BTW: Any bets as to which Labour Party apologist-politician will turn up to try and justify and explain the change . . . ?)

The mind boggles how someone could come up with branding this bad. Did nobody actually read the homepage and notice their homepage says plainly and boldly “Labour No plan no vision”.

And even if you take the meaning as they intended, it’s still the same old ongoing-never-ending negative shit that lost them the last election. “No plan no vision” perfectly describes Labour’s election strategy.
