King for Wellington?
December 14th, 2011 at 9:30 am by David FarrarStuff reports:
Her parliamentary ambitions are over, but Annette King may now turn her thoughts to the Wellington mayoralty.
Mrs King scotched suggestions last year that she would run for mayor, when Celia Wade-Brown narrowly defeated Kerry Prendergast, but is not ruling out standing in 2013.
If Annette runs, I can’t imagine she would lose. Would be fascinating to have a Labour MP challenge an incumbent Green Mayor.

If she won it would mean a by-election in Rongotai – what a good idea!
On the other hand she could end up like Anderton in Christchurch and be humiliated – also a good idea!

Why can’t these people just realise their political lives are over and move on. They seem wholly incapable of doing anything other than politics. That is just sad and depressing. Its one thing being a councillor and then moving into National politics. But the fact MPs are going from being in parliament to becoming mayors and councillors is truly pathetic.

Bizarre as it may seem, I’d vote for her to be mayor (instead of Celia).
Vote:Looking at the electorate vs party vote in Rongotai I suspect when Annette goes Rongotai will swing to National on the electorate vote too.

If BigEars does stand for mayor of Windy Wellington – just out of interest, what was her stand/preference on the airport sign?

Given the voters of Wellington have been able to watch (albeit from a distance) the awful antics of Labour’s Loony Len in Auckland, would King really have a chance if she stood as a Labour Mayor for Wellington?
Is she the person who would be able to drive a SuperCity agenda for the Capital?
I suspect she’s simply flying a kite – just to see if she’d have any support if she tried…..

“I suspect she’s simply flying a kite – just to see if she’d have any support if she tried…..”
Most likely just the journo asking a question and then interveiwing their recording device

If she did become Mayor, the mayoral receptions could be interesting. BYOSB of course.

After electing the mildly-deranged Wade-Brown anything and everything is possible in Wellington.
Vote:Obviously, this woman King has no real skills, so her only option is to continue sucking from the public tit.

She was actually a dental nurse / Dental tutor for 20 odd years.

And now most dental nurse positions have been disestablished thanks to the politicians – you reap what you sow

Certainly a stronger candidate than Celia Wade Brown

If the election isn’t held over a full moon she might have chance .

Under STV this would be interesting.
I wonder though, whether Ms King is prepared to answer questions relating to “that night”
What would her policies for ensuring youth safety be like, as well as attitudes to youth drinking

If elected would her associates be able behave in a predatory sexual fashion to 18 year olds in the council chambers?
Without her knowledge of course.

Dental nurse/tutor for 20 years and decided to continue inflicting pain on the NZ public.
Vote:Now she wants Wellinton to feel the pain. Why don’t I feel sorry for Wellington?
Because you get what you vote for and we have Loopy Len

….and yet people wonder why those of us in the outlying cities (Hutt Valley, Kapiti, etc) have little to no interest in being part of any “capital super city”.
Between the ding bat politicians, and horrendous handling of their budget, it’s just better if they are kept “isolated” from the rest of the region.

“with Rodney Hide now out of a job but having moved his family to Wellington – why doesn’t he run for the Wellington Mayoralty?”
