Andrew Bolt makes the point that Gillards “refugee” policy in Australia encourages them to come,as opposed to Howards which stoped the flow.
They make the dangerous trip and many die. It is ,on that count alone ,a bad policy.
Key ,by going along with it,compounds the error.

A total reworking of international refugee poicy is required.
First responsiblity for one’s citizens should be with the home country. The west is being transformed by Muslim illegals migrating from their shit hole countries. Practically every Muslim country could be counted as oppressive ,so every citizen therein could claim refugee status.
Western tax payers shold not be burdened with providing these people a higher and better standard of living than their own countries provide.
Host countries are also being transformed to make these bludgers welcome ,while they refuse to integrate.

Ordinary Australians have been burdened by their politicians and elites with Lebanese criminal gangs and now hordes of Middle Eastern and African migrants who will not integrate, do we want the same thing?

    GD fluff piece:

Sunday sundaes: McDonald’s vs Burger King.

McDonald’s Jville. No soft serve. We’re cleaning the machine. (yeah, it was 5:30am so sure sure).

    Burger King Jville. Closed.

McDonald’s Porirua. 6am. No soft serve. Machine is not ready. Aaah… when will it be ready do you reckon? Ummm….. 10:30am? Aha…

Fuck me… ok, one more attempt. Burger King Porirua. YES!!!!!!! Soft serve with optional caramel. A whole $1. I had five in the end.

6:10am… no hoi palloi…. no waiting… get them to shove it in your own cup and take chopped peanuts, 100s/1000s and a fruit chew stick for a spoon with you. And an actual spoon for the bits at the bottom. Ask for the cone too. Crush it up in your fist and add it in. Mmmmmmm!!!!!

I don’t know why but I instinctively go to McIdiots first…. but BK is better. Less irritating kitchen machine beeping noise, better decor and better music. They tend to put more of the good stuff in a cup than they would in a cone as well. That’s my theory anyway. Think about it… what’s easier? Making the cone or holding a cup underneath the nozzle which has less than zero thinking involved in it? Psychology… a cone amount would look stupid in a cup. So it begs to be filled up more. *thumbs up*

I see John Tamihere is making noises again about re-entering politics. Always good for ratings with the odd sound bite, it would seem comprehension is not his strong suit:

“But what we’ve got now is fascism. A nice, soft form of fascism though – I wouldn’t call Key Mussolini.” A pause. The smile widens. “But he’s not far off.”

    http://www.stuff.co.nz/national/politics/8279775/Tamihere-wants-to-return-to-politics

    However, fascism…

…favours proletarian culture due to its association of proletarian culture with economic production and claims that the proletariat as producers must have a dominant role in the nation… Fascism advocates a state-controlled and regulated mixed economy; the principal economic goal of fascism is to achieve autarky to secure national self-sufficiency and independence, through protectionist and interventionist economic policies. It promotes regulated private enterprise and private property contingent whenever beneficial to the nation and state enterprise and state property whenever necessary to protect its interests.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fascism

Now that is far more characteristic of the Greens, Labour and, indeed, his own ideas, than those of National.

One can only imagine that he wears a lot of merino…

There is a crazed ex-police force gunman at large in L.A, killing people (three so far).

The strange part is that he has a 22-page statement about what he is doing of which the mainstream media only reported on 11 pages. Why? Because he is a liberal and talks about loving people in the liberal press, Obama, gun control, Biden, Clinton etc..

If he’d have liked Conservatives, the media would have been all over it.
Oh, and before he’s even been caught, people are defending him and starting a facebook fan page etc.

    http://politicaloutcast.com/2013/02/the-rampaging-gunman-that-liberalism-built/

Christopher Dorner is a cop killer. He has nearly shut down Los Angeles because no one knows what he’ll do next to whom. Dorner is black. This is important because liberal apologists are making excuses for Dorner’s killing spree because he’s black. Consider these unbelievable comments:
“One Facebook page is proclaiming Dorner for president. ‘We propose electing a man who could no longer sit idly by and watch as malicious tyrants abuse the innocent.’

“The description on ‘We Are All Chris Dorner’ chillingly says, ‘Yes, this is war.’

“Nearly 3,000 people like the page ‘I Support Christopher Jordan Dorner.’”

Botha played it really well, knowing that he had him going in with 3 rounds to go. By the end of the ‘final’ 10th, SBW was barely standing – two more of that and he would have been having a canvas dinner.

Botha and his team are right to call fraud. Boxing has seen some dark days, and this fraud is one of them. That said, it was for the WBA. Not exactly a highly contested or respected belt or organisation.

Noises are coming from the Tua camp. If DT was fit, I would love to see that. I suspect after 3 or 4 against DT, SBW wouldn’t be looking as smart…

“Key said New Zealand’s annual intake of 750 refugees would not change, but some would now be processed through Australia, rather than the United Nations High Commission on Refugees.”……………Not bothered….”

RightNow, That’s the problem, the Muslims PAY to get on boats in Indonesia and Malaysia and then enter Australia – becoming the FIRST to be processed as ‘refugees’.

Meanwhile the true refugees, those in Africa and the like – stay in their camps. Lots of the Kirin people[I believe they are from Burma, but I may be wrong] have been in refugee camps for 25 years.

Temporary Protection Orders that Howard had in place allowed the boat people to stay in Australia but when their country was more stable they then had to return home.

The last year of the Howard government saw just 2 illegal boat entries. The refugee quota then saw more people arrive from Africa etc. I think their was over 150 illegal boat entries last year with a minimum of 30 passsengers, which equates to over 5000 people at a VERY minimum. That’s 25% of Australia’s refugee quota. However I believe the refugee figure is over 10,000 each year under the Rudd/Gillard governments.

As the Indonesian government said about a year ago “Australia needs to take the suger of the table to stop this trade.”

John Key doesn’t believe that entry to NZ then entry back to Australia is not some of that suger ! Idiot!

Your poor friend. Everyone knows Lincoln didn’t give a crap about the slaves, it was just a ploy, an excuse to go get the southern states back into the fold. He himself knew that freeing them wouldn’t change local attitudes, he wrote in one of his letters that he believed they were better off being shipped back to africa or a country of their own somewhere.

On immigration, I see the bleeding heart lefties want to once again weaken NZ’s security position and severely damage the taxpayer:

    http://www.nzherald.co.nz/politics/news/article.cfm?c_id=280&objectid=10864348

The Labour Party is questioning whether the decision means the government has had a change of heart of its proposed ‘mass detention’ law.

“Just last year the Prime Minister John Key and his Immigration Minister, Nathan Guy, were describing asylum seekers who arrived by boat as ‘queue jumpers’ and ‘illegal immigrants’,” says Immigration spokesperson, Darien Fenton.

“Now, however, it seems Mr Key is prepared to take a number of the very same people – from recently reopened Australian detention centres on Papua New Guinea’s Manus Island and Nauru – that he has previously disparaged.

“Whether or not that means the government realises it doesn’t have the support to pass its embarrassing and much-criticised law and withdraws it remains to be seen.

“What is certain is that New Zealand should not go down the flawed path of mandatory detention that has caused so much grief in Australia.

“The people we take will require considerable support beyond the point of release into the community. That means the government must also be prepared to back the cash-strapped New Zealand refugee organisations tasked with helping settle them.”

What the profound idiots don’t get is that WHEN we get a few hundred people turning up on a ship, we don’t know who they are. They could be anyone, from a genuine refugee to a terrorist to a people traffiker. They’re not all fleeing from persecution. Most of them are just sick of their life in their home country. And they want to come here, with no English and no education and live off the taxpayer for the rest of their lives, without contributing anything. And the leftie idiots just want to let them loose, into the community, without us knowing anything about them. What sort of stupidity is that?

Did you know the govt GIVES refugees a free house? That’s right, it’s not a rental, it’s a gift, from us to them.

So if 2-300 people just rock up in one go, without papers, without anything, what are the lefties to do? They’re going to bleed all over them. On our behalf. Because that’s the “humane” thing to do. Well what about the “refugees?” Don’t they have to be humane too? Or is it just the people who have to pay for it all, who have to be “humane?”

    Quite right.

However where Africans are concerned it is MOSTLY Africans from the likes of Sudan who have been breaking the law and not intergrating. Most sudanese youth can strip down an AK47 and are very handy with knives as court cases tell us.It’s the war torn countries.

Howard recognised that problem and along with threatening to reduce the quotas from those countries he enacted policies that would help them.Moveing them to the regions.

It had the desired effect, the Sudanese Community Leaders started ‘support programmes’ with the help of the SA & VIC governments[Most Sudanese live in those states] to help Sudanese youths.

Last I read was that they try to move Sudanese families to regional cities where they intergrate better due to work in farming and related industries like abbotoirs and major food production. The cost of living is lower and regional towns need workers as mining is taking away their workers and the next generation of current Australians tend to move to the capital cities when they leave high school.Regional cities in Australia also have good infrastructure such as universities and large government offices. In otherwords, the Howard government created an enviroment where they CAN thrive instead of the usual display we commonly see from minorities – blame shifting!

    What we were fed –

The Labour Party has overwhelmingly re-elected David Shearer as its leader.
The vote came at a 9am meeting in West Auckland this morning.

“I’m very happy now to be leader of the Labour Party, endorsed. We go forward to hold the Government to account to make sure we get our policies across, so people can see we are a government in waiting,” Shearer said.

Under new party rules – adopted under acrimony at last year’s annual conference – Shearer needed to be endorsed by more than 60 per cent of MPs.
Claps and cheers erupted after the announcement of the result.

Shearer said he did not know the exact result of the secret ballot but the result was an overwhelming majority.
    http://www.stuff.co.nz/national/politics/8257869/Shearer-confirmed-as-Labour-leader

What may have really happened –

    Ten abstentions.
Ten from a caucus of 34… nearly a third of the caucus abstained from voting. The actual percentage is 29% of David Shearer’s caucus refused to vote for him.
That is not ”an overwhelming margin”…it is an embarrassment…and only 3 votes short of the trigger.
David Shearer has better be very, very careful with his re-shuffle.
    http://www.whaleoil.co.nz/2013/02/hardly-overwhelming-david-time-to-fess-up/

Shearer can’t actually get his Labour Caucus to all vote for him when he is the only candidate? Merde!

May be they are just like the general voter –

Is David Shearer the right leader for Labour?

In the case of Chinese -they do integrate- they are mostly in work, largely consume beer, gamble heavily, are family orientated and install wisdom into their children. Most are also religious and have good morals.

It reminds me nostalgicly of the conservative married kiwis in the 50’s 60’s & early 70’s.

And like you say “Don’t bother anyone.”

It was the enforced liberalisational policies of the left that destroyed NZ, this was done by way of ‘financialy & emotionly’ supporting- marriage breakdown, government largese, entitlement, devaluation of men in society, unemployment, children ‘in care’ daily, illiteracy, drug taking, sexualisation of children, young females in jail for committing ‘male type’ offences, & youth suicide. That is for the most part the order of it all.

Well Watty, conservative policy hasen’t bothered anyone in over 40yrs!

In one night back in the 19th 3 million died in one night from i think massive flooding. 3 million Chinese.

The problem with mass density population is that it’s triple the impact on life. If they wanted The Dragon could just say to it’s citizens “Go, cross the borders and colonize everywhere” and there would be nothing but either make room for them or kill. I don’t think there would be enough conventional bullets to stop it on the planet.

I have heard a figure as high as 100 million. To give it perspective, the generally agreed figure is about the same total as the deaths in WWII on ALL SIDES combined. This was done by socialists, against their own people, during peace time.

Yes it was one of his two deliberate moves disguised to look like blunders bhudson. I think it was also so he could destroy Germany as the dominant European power and he succeeded in doing that for fifty years after the war ended, allowing the rise of the EU. But as I’ve said before, it’s an interesting fact isn’t it that often when a leader of a country comes from an outsider tribe, they often become very destructive to that country and this applies to the Austrian, the Georgian and the Corsican.

Anyway I’ve read that when Hitler diverted Army Groups Centre and South to take the Ploesti oil fields, which weren’t going away in a hurry, he only had a rifle division between him and Moscow, according to Joseph Farrell who’s done a lot of research into this. Which makes it as militarily inexplicable as was his Dunkirk decision in 1940. Which is also interesting.

The reason why you can’t see the plan in action as it unfolds around us is because you won’t look for the signs it is there. As soon as you do start to look, there they are, plain as day. But most seem to prefer not to look. Which is a pity.

I Wish We Loved Our Children This Much

You may have seen on the news the past few days the ongoing saga about some trapped killer whales in Canada. The ice around them was closing in, and a dozen whales were trying to get some breathing space. All the mainstream media was agog with the story, and you could almost see tears in the face of some of the news announcers.

It was one of the more emotional news items going for a few days. And the champagne was likely flowing when the story finally ended with the whales freeing themselves. One news report covers the story as follows: “About 12 killer whales trapped under sea ice in Canada’s Hudson Bay appear to be free after the ice shifted.

“However, people who fear the whales will get stuck elsewhere have hired a plane to find them.” As a Government Officer from the Department of Marine Biology said.

‘It’s certainly good news – that’s good news for the whales,’ said Palliser, a business adviser with the regional government.

“But fears remain that the whales may be trapped elsewhere by the ever-moving ice. Some villagers were sceptical the killer whales had escaped harm, so the community hired a plane to scan the region on Thursday for signs of the pod.

Another news item added these remarks: “Over the last few days, 80 people at a time had gone out on the ice to watch the whales. ‘We were all trying to find out how we can save them,’ he said. ‘We observed the wind, the moon, everything.’

Wow, that is a lot of time, attention and money being spent on a bunch of killer whales. Of course I, like everyone else, never like to see animals suffer, and if reasonable measures can be taken to help some animals, then that may not be uncalled for.

But to have a worldwide panic over this “emergency” with plans to get governments sending in ships and planes, just to help out a few killer whales seems a bit much, especially if we highlight another inconvenient truth. Every day in Canada something like 300 trapped creatures are mercilessly killed.

This too is an extreme emergency, yet I see no global media campaigns erupting over this, indeed, there is complete silence about these poor trapped creatures who will die if no one intervenes.

I of course refer to the unborn who are slaughtered each year in Canada. Abortion accounts for around 100,000 dead babies each year there.

Why the double standards all over the West? Why mega-concerns about a bunch of whales, and zero concern about the mass slaughter of our own children? That makes no sense to me whatsoever. That is an indication of a culture which has lost its way big time.

Indeed, just contrast our whale story with another story which broke in Canada not so long ago.

To me this is far more horrific, but I never heard a peep about it from the MSM.

The story goes like this: “Figures from Statistics Canada, a federal government agency, show 491 babies were born alive following botched abortions during the period from 2000-2009 and left to die afterwards. The numbers have pro-life advocates up in arms.

“Andre Schutten, legal counsel for ARPA Canada, noticed the numbers and blogged about them recently. The blog Run with Life has reported that, from 2000 to 2009, 491 babies have been born alive following a failed abortion procedure, and subsequently left to die. And those are only the ones that are recorded by Statistics Canada.

“The blog explains that ‘there were 491 abortions, of 20 weeks gestation and greater, that resulted in live births. This means that the aborted child died after it was born. These abortions are coded as P96.4 or “Termination of pregnancy, affecting fetus and newborn”.’

“The question that should immediately present itself is, why has there not been 491 homicide investigations or prosecutions in connection with these deaths?

Section 223(2) of the Criminal Code (the accompanying subsection to the now infamous subsection that Mr. Woodworth’s motion 312 was examining) reads ‘A person commits homicide when he causes injury to a child before or during its birth as a result of which the child dies after becoming a human being.’

“That is to say, anyone who interferes with a pregnancy such that the child dies after it is born alive due to that interference, is guilty of homicide. So again, why have there been no criminal prosecutions? Why no outcry? And why are the provinces funding this explicitly criminal activity?”

Good questions indeed. And here are a few more:

Why did I not see this reported on TVNZnews? Or TV3 news? Or in the New Zealand newspapers? Or on Radio NZ? Or Cambell Live?

    Or Kiwiblog?

Every single one of these media outlets would likely have covered the whale story, and more than once.

Yet on something far more important all we get is complete silence from these guys – a total media blackout. Not only does that tell us much about the warped values and priorities of the MSM, it also tells us that the MSM does not report the news, it DETERMINES the news and CENSORS that which it does not want aired in public.

It is about censorship, propaganda and ideology, in other words. It only covers that which fits into its secular left agenda.

That means whales will hit the front pages any day of the week, but butchered babies will not even rate a mention.

    Marriage Sanity in France

When a million people march in support of traditional marriage, and against homosexual marriage, you know there may yet be hope for Western civilisation. And when this protest takes place in a nation known for its secularism, leftism and radicalism, then we really do have hope.

The new French government has been hell-bent on ramming homosexual marriage down the throats of everyone, whether they like it or not. But hundreds of thousands of French men, women and children are telling the government to leave marriage alone.

Late last year over 100,000 of them marched in protest, and on Sunday as many as a million marched! I discussed the December march here: http://www.billmuehlenberg.com/2012/11/19/9400/

And this was not just a march led by and involving elderly religious fundamentalists. Young and old were involved, and plenty of secular and non-religious folks were involved, including its leadership: “The protest today was organised by the eccentric comedian Frigide Barjot, founder of the Collectif pour l’humanité durable, joined by gay atheist Xavier Bongibault of the association Plus gay sans mariage (‘More Gay Without Marriage’), and Laurence Tcheng of La gauche pour le mariage républicaine (‘The Left for Republican Marriage’).

“Jacques Julien, 70, who had travelled from the Haute Loire region of central France, said he had voted for Mr Hollande but disagreed with the Socialist president’s approach. ‘A man and a woman, that is the basis of the family,’ he said. ‘I’m saying out loud what many people on the left think privately.’

“The pro-marriage movement in France is passionate, diverse, uncompromising and inspired. They are also calm, rational and persistent. This was the biggest pro-marriage demonstration to date. ”

“They held signs that read ‘Une papa, une maman pour TOUS les enfants!’ — which means ‘A dad, a mom for ALL children.’

Some children held signs that read ‘Made in papa + maman’: ‘Made in mom and dad.’ I have been so proud and honored to be part of this new international solidarity movement in defense of marriage, children and family.”

Yes and I am so proud as well of my French colleagues. They are fed up with the destruction of marriage and family and are actually doing something about it. They have shown the world that we can make a difference. It is hoped that their boldness and activism will inspire pro-marriage forces around the globe to redouble their efforts in defending this most important of social institutions.

Long live France and long live the marriage revolution.

And fuck the NZ media’s propaganda – fowards, backwards & sidewards!

Gay “marriage” is not about gay “rights” Harriet, that is just a trojan. It is about extending the power of the EU bureacracy and reducing the power of sovereignty of the Nations infortunate enough to be members os the EU.

Within the year “marriage” for gays will be ruled a human “right” by the council of Europe and the EU Parliament will legislate that any marriage conducted within the EU must be recognized by all nations within the EU even if that marriage does cannot be legally br conducted within that nations borders.

Thus those nations who have resisted the gay steamroller will be bought into line – their citizens who wish to endulge in a gay marriage need only to journey to a country where it is legal, get wedded, and return and will be entitled to all the benefits conferred on married couples in their home nation. Countries like Poland, Croatia, Bulgaria, Romania are all within the firing line – they will get gay “marriage” even though their citizens and parliamentarians are almost universally against it.

The urgent haste in Britain and France to legislate this abomination is so that their citizens do not see what the cancerous Europhiles are up to because once gay marriage is legal in those lands it wont appear to have been imposed by the European elite but a result of democratically elected local governments.

As bio-ethicist and lawyer Kevin Andrews has remarked: “The primary purpose of the [surrogacy] arrangement is directed not towards the welfare of the child but the needs of the commissioning couple. . . The child is fundamentally a commodity to be obtained or provided within a utilitarian or consumer setting.”

It is most understandable when desperate couples go to extreme lengths to have children, but there is no automatic right to a child, and sometimes the costs are far too high. The situation in India is just one example of how damaging all this can – and has – become……”

Same-sex marriage is an extension of the feminist agenda which is an extension of the communist agenda of which the EU along with the UN are the main political personifications of it in the world today. The EU is a political body, gay marriage is a social engineering meme. Political bodies are used to deploy social engineering meme’s into society via legislation. Your argument is essentially that if leftists advocate something, therefore I must disagree.

No it’s nothing of the sort wat. My argument is that if it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck then it’s possibly a duck. And communist doctrine is that the number one objective is to destroy the family unit so that it is no longer available as the individual’s main support mechanism in the brave new world that commies seem to like and drive toward. This is precisely so that once the brave new world is a reality, the state can step in and fill the vacuum and provide housing and jobs and baby factories and everything else, to keep the workers happy, so they can continue working for the state.

Feminism happens to be taken up by the left as a cause celebre and there are specific reasons why that is which are not relevant to go into. However, that’s what they do. So attacking feminism can be confused by someone who doesn’t get it as an attack on the left.

But that’s not why I do it and it never has been why I do it.

Reid, feminists, and women generally, have been the single biggest promoters of far left socialist doctrine in our society. A fact even Redbaiter totally misses.

I have to laugh at these people thinking gays are the ones to target. Most of these gay issues are a beat up by feminists, not gays themselves.

Hey if lefties really did believe in the values they espouse and started acting like it then I’d be the first to applaud.

But their entire thinking revolves around new and improved ways to use the state to achieve something, and if that’s not communist then what is it?

And that’s what they do, isn’t it.

They don’t have to do it that way to achieve their stated goals that they claim to believe in, like alleviating poverty for example, but they continue to insist on doing it that way.

And as long as they continue to insist on so doing, I’ll continue to point out their techniques are right out of the same commie playbook used by Marx, Mao, Stalin and all the rest of them. Not because “I’m biased,” but because that’s simple reality.

mikenmild, I am not sure why so many AB’s are gay. It could be the constant proximity, and physical contact, with so many other men, combined with effects of the steroids. It has been known for some time that these drugs bring about changes such as “Bitch Tits”

Here is some further reading on this interesting topic of the AB’s gayness:

“Bitch-tits”, commonly seen in athletes, results from the abuse of anabolic steroids. When testosterone levels rise very rapidly in the body (from exogenous injections), the body responds by producing enzymes that turn the “extra” testosterone into estrogen by a process called aromatization. The higher testosterone level provides short-term gains in bulk and strength. However, the resulting increase in estrogen level often causes long-term changes in the breasts. Gynecomastia may occur after the very first steroid injection in some, while it may require multiple injections in others. Gynecomastia, many times, is also a dose related phenomenon.

Just following on from PaulEastbay’s opening comment on this thread.

    The headline:

Coach Mike Hesson says his New Zealand team tried too hard and were over-excited as they suffered a meek tour-opening defeat to England.

    The details:

New Zealand lost the game in the early overs as England got off to a flyer en route to their highest T20 total of 214-7. The hosts dropped five catches and the bowlers offered too many free hits to the 65m straight boundaries, with England’s batsmen clouting 15 sixes.

    The coach’s excuses:

The guys tried a bit hard. They were pretty excited about being home. We had a number of plans to stay away from the short boundaries and we clearly weren’t able to execute those,” Hesson said today.

Hey Reid did you ever look up the Trithilon stones?

I didn’t want to throw any links as everyone out there think they are from ancient aliens. They’re mysteries due to their enormous weight and the unfinished stones at the quarry which are even heavier. People seem to think they are from an ancient landing pad which makes one laugh as why would a interstellar species that has space capability need a landing pad, we’re savvy enough to know from circumstantial evidence that this is a joke played on the unsuspecting but that doesn’t dispel the fact that these ancient peoples knew how to move massive weight, 600 tons to 1200 ton stones. The Valley temple stones at Ghiza only come to 200 tons and they were shifted only a short distance and stacked.
