Teen Pregnancies

It does surprise me that in a documentary on why compulsory sex education in schools hasn’t cut the teenage pregnancy rate, they edit out the fairly pertinent information that the Maori teen birth rate was nearly five times higher than European.

Frank Haden also writes about this and I have to agree with him. The unpalatable view that they would not put to air is:

New Zealand’s overall teenage pregnancy record won’t improve until Maori culture says it is not a good thing to get pregnant in your teens
