Herald slays Council

The NZ Herald seems sick of being bullshitted to by the Auckland City Council. It seems the costs of the sister city programme have been downplayed, so at the end of their article, they ran the following:

SISTER CITIES
How much do they cost to run?

* Wednesday: $120,000 a year.

* Yesterday: $270,000 a year.

Source: Auckland City Council (both days)

And in response to Dick Hubbard claiming Hamburg sister city agreement as “one of the significant successes of my mayoralty”, they point out in just two years rates have increased by 25% under his mayoralty.
