A few days later, the doctor saw him walking down the street with a gorgeous young woman on his arm.
A couple of days later, the doctor spoke to Mallard and said: “You’re really doing great, aren’t you?”
Mallard replied: “Just doing what you said, Doc. Get a hot mamma and be cheerful.”

    That Yvette has become very well established no more so than the signing of the UN migration pact to smooth her own UN expectations.
    Now today we see it is “Brand on The Run” with the announcement on holding back ACC increases along with a drop in the personal rates. They are obviously very worried about going into the Parliamentary break with their numbers sliding so rapidly as reality along with unintended consequences start to kick in. Her telling state when apologizing to the family of the young murdered tourist indicates her medication is struggling is on display for those that know why.
    Displays of impromptu tearful outbursts is often the most visual sign of problems as sufferers know too well. We await with interest if she will appear for OQT tomorrow or opt for witless protection as is her usual reaction to the real work.

Last, it seems, was his lawyers looking at the Report.
Have we missed anything further that has happened?

Likewise Sroubek. Is his lawyers still reading it – taking a little longer than Lees-Galloway, Ardern and Winston Peters?

And will we ever know what the reports actually originally stated, or will we in both cases be presented with what the lawyers in each case allowed to remain to be publicly released – when ever that is.

  * All sorts of diseases: SARS, Ebola, AIDS, bird flu (twice), swine flu, Hong Kong flu.
  * Killed in my bed by rioting Africans.
  * Shot to death playing with guns.
  * Froze to death in the ice age in the 1970s.
  * Burned to death in the 2000s with climate change.
  * Volcanoes, meteorites and earthquakes.
  * Starved to death after colony collapse disorder meant there were no bees to pollinate our food.
  * Starved to death when a GMO went viral and killed all our plant food.

  Firstly, the nutritionists I knew in Auckland Public Health had no clue about healthy food. Two were fat and two were unhealthily thin and lacking in muscle tone.
  
  Secondly, if these kids are not getting enough ‘healthy food’ but there’s enough money in the household to get plenty of food, that’s in no way the taxpayer’s responsibility.
  
  I do pity the parents though – all the false ‘food pyramid’ information nutritionists spread about regarding what is healthy food leaves people hungry for fat and protein.

      Some years ago I was “designated” Santa in Cheltenham (Devonport) Beach Christmas children’s party.
      I was chosen because I needed no padding !
      I loved it for many years – even my own granddaughter did not discover me when prizes for all were handed out by Santa.

Censorship must not be allowed to impede a proper investigation of the murders of Christine and Amber Lundy. There is work gathering pace, the New Zealand public deserve to know that the killer was never apprehended or charged for these murders. It would be fatuous to suggest the case is sub judice, this is 18 years into an unsolved murder case. I have some sympathy for David Farrar who has been told to shut this discussion down, but he does own the most read forum in New Zealand, and becomes the default media in place of granny Herald, and Stuff, who are concerned solely with suppressing information at the behest of Wellington.

  There is nothing that angers me more about than young girls that come out here for an adventure and go home as remains. Every year almost. Actually some American girl was in Chch a matter of days and was found dead a month or so ago. Just imagine the families grief, Mr Millane must be shattered. The only significant NZ public figure to ever openly/honestly speak out about this was Bob Jones, calling it a disgrace, he was right.     Obviously a lot are natural causes, but for a lot the police write off as ‘suicide’, because it’s the easy way out for them, and a lot are unresolved murders.

      They come here in packs, usually for 2-3 weeks at a time, rent large ( 600-1200cc ) big bikes, get absolutely shit faced, pick up a Thai bar girl, then race off down the main drag at 100 MPH…splat, dead. Seen with my own eyes, time and time again.
      Thais are generally extremely tolerant of the farang, live and let live to a point, push them one step too far, the guys AND the girls, you can end up dead.
      New Zealand is a very violent country. FFS, the girl traveled through S/A and survived, only to be snuffed out in ” Gods Own ” !! Another statistic.

The government will build 6,400 new public (state and social) homes over the next 4 years. That’s the plan anyway. ‘Build’ means buy the Kiwibuild places nobody wants and get them off the Kiwibuild books?

Current waiting list (been through the application process and approved for social housing) 9,536 at September 2018, up 63% on same month 2017. Probably well over the 10,000 mark at the end of this month.

Opportunistic applications for cheap rent to a ‘kind’ government, bring the dogs and whatever you do you won’t be evicted?

Landlords selling up private rentals so fewer available, even fewer to less than ideal tenants and higher rents because of shortages and government demands on landlords?

  Quite likely.
  
  You don’t prep the land unless you are planning to plant trees because if you just leave it for a year or two it will get overgrown. So you have your trees ordered before you prep the land.
  
  If some land was conveniently ready to accept 600,000 trees, but they did not already have trees lined up, then that suggests the possibility that they had been told there would be some free trees coming.

The report on Tomorrow’s Schools makes for sobering reading. The result of 12 months’ “conversation” is a list of boilerplate radical left wing policy prescriptions (funny that, and a leftie consultant picking up a couple hundred grand of tax money for the privilege).

This report is an attack on every high functioning school in the state system. Fund raising, independent governance, student selection, parental influence…these must all go. Auckland Grammer, Christchurch Boys’, etc must all be brought down. Mediocrity is the standard. If you care about giving your kids a decent education, Labour must be defeated in the next election.

Allocated funding being wasted while leaving major shortfalls in maintenance and repairs it was intended for. Biggest offenders are mostly schools with names that as usual in addition to macrons can be pronounced differently every other day. Some very shonky record keeping , restricted bank account access ad minimal documentation for spending.

Guyon this morning interviewing Bridges on the UN Global Compact for Migration kept interrupting and slotting in his critical ‘mmm’s (you know the ones they use on Morning Report to show they disapprove).

Bridges did his best just repeating that we already have good immigration laws and that the UN Migration Compact mixes up legal and illegal migration, but didn’t bring up freedom of speech as an issue. It’s a really big issue, but bringing that up would be huge: every snowflake who doesn’t want anyone ever hurtie by wordies would be up in arms (judging by the so-called Antifa, they don’t mind carrying out actual violence).

When Bridges said we’re in good company with the US and Australia if we don’t sign, Guyon pounced, bit hard and wouldn’t let go: kept trying to get Bridges to say he agreed with Trump. Bridges didn’t fall into that trap, but I won’t be surprised if the MSM also pounce now and try to associate Bridges with Trump just for saying the US won’t sign this agreement.

One of the perils for one with English as a second language who may know the words but the embedded subtleties are not understood by them. Jacinda and Winnie campaigned on anti immigration, and now flip flopped back to open borders, and their supporters nor the media don’t give a blind hoot. From Newshub in 2017, Jacinda said under her policy that Migration would drop by 20-30,000. Last year it only dropped by 8,000 and now she wants to sign up for more and to let the UN dictate who they will be.

Classic “error” by omission last night by Peter Williams (who as once a pretty good cricket commentator) on the coming departure of Trump’s COS, John Kelly. He was, according to TVone/Williams appointed as COS “only in July”.

Partly correct, but 12 months wrong. It was July 2017. And according to the pinko commentators here and there, he was always going to be “out” by lunch-time.

Ahhhh …. Just love their accuracy and overt bias!

I have a bitch about our local Councils and are pissed off about the rubbish and glass on our streets and footpaths. If they are content on paying workers the living wage which is $20 plus a hour them they should be made to police their workers to make sure the job is being done satisfactorily and you only have to look at our streets to know it is not. I walk 5k every morning and in two different streets their has been a nappy obviously thrown out of a passing car in the gutter, these nappies have been there over 6 months dispite rubbish collection’s weekly, there is also glass on our roads and foot paths that again are obviously throw from moving car that also sit there for month’s, surely if they are paying workers a good wage they should be expected to do their job and also those at the top not doing their job of checking it is done to a common standard need to be taken to task on their ability to lead.

    The Council in Whanganui have no Idea what to do with the rubbish. They contracted it out to a Chinese firm who have doubled the price and halved the amount ratepayers can put out. XYZ should get stuffed and XYZ is a “waste of space” but that would be rude to say that; and Nga Puhi have been as slow as the Jews getting back to Jerusalem (2000 years).

  Well Chris Finlayson has been a key figure in these endless round of negotiations and hundreds of millions of dollars of transfer payments from the taxpayer to Maori interests. There was a small matter of the $450 million top up that was given tNgai Tahu and Tainui recently as a case in point.
  
  Now we realise that the largest tribe and probably the biggest settlement has not been reached with Ngapuhi!! When will this treaty settlement process ever end?? I don’t think it ever well.
  
  Because now the goal posts have been changed and the new goal is biculturalism. What this means is that we will forever be 2 cultures and forever be divided over race.
  
  In my opinion we should end the settlement processes quickly as possible and then continue on in the future as one country with one set of rules for all. I would have thought this is common sense but apparently in some circles this makes me an incredible racist??

  Stoptheboats, the Vietnamese I know are incredibly hardworking and are very clean and tidy people. Re the lawns, it could simply be that they don’t understand that mowing them is part of their tenancy duty (if indeed it is).
  
  I would contact the Real Estate company that let the place, or the owner directly, and clarify whose duty it is. I’ve had a totally irresponsible lawnmowing firm not doing its job in the past, and until the tenants told the owners of the units we didn’t know.
  
  If it is the tenants’ duty, talk to the owner/leasing firm about ensuring they understand this and if they can’t do it themselves and can’t communicate with a lawnmowing company, that the owner organises it for them and clarifies that they need to pay.

Now I am certainly no fan of Simon, but this does seem to be a concerted campaign to have him removed & really if he is that bad why would they not want him to stay?

I have been saying for some time that I can foresee a change coming in the new year, but I can see no good reason why the media are pushing this narrative

  Think back to when National was in power, how often did you read a negative story about Labour?
  The media is full of endless opinion pieces on how shit National is and how great Cindy is, the media is actively campaigning against National.
  
  National needs to start playing hard ball with the media, I’d be encouraging National aligned businesses to start pulling advertising on all the hostile media channels, that’s how you get results fast, start hitting the owners in the back pocket.

    I think Bridges is doing an ok job. He’s no John Key, but he has a brain and while people lament his lack of ‘charisma’. look what that has delivered us in the form of a PM. I think he has the making of a safe pair of hands, which is not to damn him with faint praise, but a good leader who could settle the country from the somewhat hysterical confusion we find ourselves in. I like that he allows his senior ministers a chance to shine, and that one or two juniors are getting opportunities to raise their profiles.

The constitution has been changed. A committee has been established that will report in March next year on the expropriation without compensation.

This is the desired end result for every country in Europe, for the United Kingdom and the United States.

When are white people doing to learn that identity politics is a reality, that they are a beleaguered minority, that the possibility of individualism can be ended by opposing collectives, and is being ended, and that they have to vote as a block or be wiped out? They need to learn it soon.

And culture of death things like euthanasia won’t help.

Identity politics is simply the reality of diverse states. There is no point bemoaning it. One has to simply acclimatise.

I was impressed by Simon Bridges on the Leighton show this morning. He was clear, concise,and authorative. I used to be a Judith man but it seems to me he can do the job well and have broader appeal. Those of us who want to see a change of government need to get in behind him. The media led by Soper are determined to bring him down so as to ensure the survival of Labour/Greens/Winston and their Globalisation agenda.

  And why shouldn’t she, she’s got a great couple of portfolios, I think she’s rather enjoying her work at the moment.
  
  That’s not to say she still doesn’t want to be leader,

    Perhaps brett68 but IMHO many more people have yet to grasp that Simon Bridges is introducing his own distinctive style of leadership to the role. He will not shy away from taking the Media party on but the strength is being seen in the team approach as it promotes greater levels on unity. Much to the left’s chagrin. In addition to which many are honing their skills with preparing and posing questions while they all share the frustration of no answers to be found in all the words used as substitute for answers. Resulting in it being put again even after it all started from a written question also ducked. The unseen content we know is continuing to mount up only from the COL whinging volume going louder but without the need to exaggerate that particular figure. The toughest challenge is the increasing number of weak targets as well as some dodgy moves by the COL. Even with the best numbers in any recent opposition there is too little time in the Parliamentary calendar to cope with it especially with such a generous quota filled witless protection program. Even the sudden reversal of ACC increases before the summer break again highlights how rattled they really and in need of some good press beyond what they already control. Sweet cheeks will not be pleased as he misses the Cullen money moves with that pool in the past as they try also to reach out for access to the other fund he created. Perhaps though the polishing of the tiara is done a little more enthusiastically as the SLG numbers have started to slide.

    Quite so Maggy. It seems that the “clamour” for Bridges’ head is almost completely media-driven. One wonders what favours have been exchanged for salacious “leaks” from within National, and who has exchanged them.
    
    Quite frankly, I have been impressed with Bridges, especially since Jami-Lee Ross went feral. He and Paula Bennett have showed a degree of compassion to Ross which he probably doesn’t deserve. Bridges is getting used to his role as the prime questioner of the PM, and Mallard’s intervention last week suggests he is doing that effectively. And he has drawn a clear line between National and Labour on issues such as Oil and Gas, and the UN Compact on Migration. He has plenty to feel satisfied with.

  If I was Bridges, I would quietly store proven evidence of media collusion with the CoL, if they can find it. Then release it during the 2020 election. This will do 3 things;
  1) expose the media and screw them at the same time, as they HAVE to cover the election issues
  2) reset the playing field a bit as the media will then have to cover issues more honestly, which is what they should do

TLDR – Ivy League discrimination against Americans is terrifying.   KeaRea, there is another way. I know many mixed-ethnicity couples. They teach their children both languages and positive aspects of both cultures.
  
  We’ll never agree on this. Just one thing: I do know how horrific South Africa has become. I know people who have escaped to NZ without any of the wealth they built up during their working lives.
  
  I don’t agree that ever-stronger identity politics are the way out of such situations, with ethnic groups and tribes at war.

In his conclusion Reddell writes:

For them to find the body so soon, the accused must have coughed during the interview process, so I hope the courts back this up & put the scumbag away for a long time

    Right kowtow one in Nelson got a broken nose plus a fractured jaw but there are some alleys there locals avoid after dark. Still at least one long unsolved murder also in an alley. They have also recently had some very dumb people running away from the law. One started on a stolen bike, then stole the car of someone who chased him in it then stole a van that he finally drove into a country stream. The a shiela ran off after being stopped by the law then later left a gas station with a nozzle stuck in the filler. There are some strange arrivals attracted by easy picking from tourists and the moderate climate. Many move on around the best tourist spots for a comfortable easy life style to supplement benefits direct credited now without any sanctions. If apprehended there are numerous mention of the term AKA on any appearance as the charge sheet is read out.

But then it was nullified by the UMR cloud poll conveniently leaked beyond a very selective recipient list so the spin goes. Nothing like a little post-rain torchlight to assist in the endless campaign against garden snails. As I happily crunched dozens of the pests blighters underfoot tonight, I wondered at the point of their existence.

Why were snails even invented?

Then, on noticing I’d spent more time outside before bedtime than I planned, I realised I enjoy the ones that make a popping sound when I put my foot on them.

They’re bubble wrap for gardeners!
