    Yes it’s amazing to me that this is accepted as the new normal. We’ll have Muslims stabbing, bombing and shooting our people a number of times a year but we will accept this and try to move on as quickly as possible.
    
    As I said yesterday what if a christian group such as Baptists were doing this? There would be a parliamentary commission of enquiry. The police would swoop on Baptist leaders and arrest them and hold them in solitary confinement. Their assets would be frozen. Churches would be shut down. Parliament would pass a suppression of Baptists act. The authorities would move heaven and earth to stop it.
    
    But because of political correctness where Muslims are seen as victims of racism virtually nothing is done.
    
    The British government should deport radical imams, rescind citizenship of troublemakers, close down radical mosques. They should ask themselves – can we cope with more Muslim immigration?
    We are watching a way of life destroyed because the British government will not stand up for the British people and the British way of life.
    We must make sure the same doesn’t happen here.

      Uh, duh-uh, a Christian (you don’t give Christ a capital letter?) group such as Roman Catholics were doing this in the UK only a few decades ago. I was in London as a kid in 1976 and the possibility of a terrorist attack by Irish Catholics was very much on people’s minds. At no point did the Police swoop on Catholic leaders to arrest them and hold them in solitary confinement. That’s because the UK isn’t a fascist state. You may be disappointed about that fact, but it remains a fact.

        I was in London in the 70s and no you couldn’t rely on the IRA to give warnings. Our favourite restaurant was one of many that had netting across its windows to reduce the risk of a hand grenade being lobbed in from the street, bag searches were widespread along with other basic precautions. Bear in mind this was before the days of surveillance of the widespread use of cameras, drones and helicopters.
        
        Generally though the Londoners went about their business totally unpeturbed.

        The violent tradition of republican nationalism in Ireland is philosophically non sectarian.
        
        That’s why they place so much emphasis on the United Irishmen and 1798.

        I just Googled ‘Leitch racism’ and the only story that came up was re that Waiheke Island incident in 2017 where he made the perfectly-valid point to a person claiming she was tangata whenua that ‘(Waiheke Island) was a white man’s island too.’

    This corrupt disgrace of a government has almost no chance of winning re-election. Actually, let me correct that – it wouldn’t be re-election, because they weren’t actually elected the first time. They shamelessly bought their way into power with baubles.
    
    But with NZ First almost certain to be gone next election (and the Greens far from certain to return) that option won’t be open to them. They will actually have to persuade a majority of New Zealanders that they are fit to govern. And given the economic damage their lunatic policies will have inflicted by then, that’s going to be a tough sell.

Rhythm and Vines was especially loaded with them this week. If it only affected them that would be okay, but when they get taken to hospital and emergency services spend tax payers money to save them it’s not okay.

      There is a new killer drug named Krokodil that has come out of Russia. Made for the cheap end of the market it is codeine based with nasties such as petrol included and it gets worse, read this:

        Krokodil is not new, its been around for a long time in Russia. They started importing it to the eastern seaboard in the USA with the Russian Mob about 4 years ago with predictably terrible consequences.
        
        The major problem with Krokodil (other than the obvious: its an opioid with high abuse potential) is that the drug is highly corrosive and at the site of injection can cause sterile abscess and worse. DO NOT google Krokodil and “images” unless you have a strong stomach.
        
        Meanwhile: cannabis, Ecstasy (MDMA/Molly etc) and even LSD not so much.

        I actually agree – as long as it is pure MDMA the research says pretty much that (erowid.org) but the problem is there are so many analogues being sold as E that are actually really nasty and NZ being an island country MDMA has to get across our border, so it is a lot easier to come up with lots of different pills of many analogues and sell it as ‘E’ – and then the lottery starts as to what it will do to the user.

  So what happens to the people who make the drugs laced with pesticide and paint thinner. Are they prosecuted? If you want to serve a glass of wine at your local community hall for a club fundraiser you need a $200 liquor license and a plan approved by police and health boards. They won’t issue BYO liquor licenses for public events. But BYO drugs are ok – and you don’t need a venue license? Will the councils add that as a question to their venue license procedure – do you expect people will bring illegal drugs to your venue? Do they pay extra for a venue license where they expect large amounts of BYO drugs. Does it include the costs for extra policing – as illegal drugs are not taxed and the manufacturers don’t pay tax or have to conform to any regulations either.

Interesting that on most nights the TV news has our Police at a crime scene tooled up with firearms. Usually this is when the horse has bolted and the Police are guarding the scene.

This is accepted by the majority of viewers as a fact of life.

It’s strange that when there is a request by Police to routinely carry firearms to be prepared for the unexpected, there is a public outcry.

  You might also want to ponder that police work would not make the top 50 of dangerous occupations. More people have died in a year, in other occupations, than the entire history of policing in NZ. The only difference is there is not a huge media beat up if a construction worker is killed.

  The utterly ridiculous thing about those Plod on cordon duty at the scene of crime is they are carrying military style semi automatic rifles which even though are shoulder slung still require two hands to hold /control.
  If someone , say a 150 kilo ape , came up to the petite wee thing ( so many are these days) and starting to push his way through the cordon tape , said officer would do what ? Shoot him ? Nope.
  
  They’d have to ground the weapon to tackle said ape or at the very least it would be an impediment while groping for Taser or pepper spray .
  
  The display of those rifles appears to be some sort of dick measuring contest .
  
  PS and if some loon did come back to the scene similarly armed and up for the gunfight at the Ki Ora Corral does anyone seriously think the Plodette has spent nearly enough time behind the trigger of said weapon to be able to use it with any proficiency ?

Put it this way, the French state will decide their fate long before any lawyer gets paid by the state.
    
    There’s pages of this stuff – I haven’t yet got to the point where an asylum seeker might expect to get any actual dosh in the form of benefit, but you get the idea.
    Being an asylum seekers in the UK is so much easier and you’re allowed, nay positively encouraged, to lie about where you come from to improve the likelihood of your claim succeeding.
    The UK needs to toughen up its procedures massively – if not this problem will go on and get much worse. This completely explains why the French state is unsympathetic to any problem the Brits have with illegal immigration – it considers us wimps.
    Asylum seekers/illegal immigrants are behaving completely logically in trying to get from France to the UK – and the UK is encouraging them.”

        The current crop of “refugees” are not and in fact, many of their countries are asking for their return to help rebuild their ravaged countries.
        
        The bulk of these are economic refugees who, after arrival in their sanctuary, try to alter their haven to their whims.
        
        I’m not an expert but I’m pretty sure we haven’t had demands for compliance with Judaism’s requirements yet we all now eat halal meat and are frowned at for saying Christmas…

  There are many people I deal with where I find myself having to bite my tongue, lest I be labelled some sort of fascist, and in certain circles there are topics that become very problematic.
  
  The fact is, it shouldn’t be.
  
  Universities, for many years the bastion of freedom of speech have now become the self appointed arbiters of acceptable speech. Young Minds that were once encouraged to debate ideas and concepts, no matter how potentially offensive are now coddled by safe spaces and Trigger Warnings that free, independent thought is now considered a safety issue.

        Disagree in general – my sense is that there are many people here who do feel somewhat “cheated” because National comfortably got the most votes of any one party and that NZF should have felt an obligation to respect that. In fact, some commnetators here have been calling for a party like NZF to be legally obliged to form a government with the majority party in the future.

        Well I don’t feel “cheated” and many I have spoken with feel the same.
        
        I feel NZ has been conned and is still being conned by a man with a nasty agenda and a woman who had no intention of doing anything other than what she is currently doing. I believe she is auditioning for a role at the UN and believes that whatever the cost NZ has to pay it is worth it because she is a self absorbed greedy communist.
        
        That frustrates me because in my line of work I have to deal with people from many cultures and at many levels of income. The ones who have decided to invest in their and their children’s future are most at risk from the plans this government has.
        
        As an ordinary New Zealander that concerns me. I have been around long enough to know that governments come and go and the members of those governments seldom have to live with the consequences of their actions.
        
        As a fairly smart person I am well protected from whatever these turds throw at me but many are not and as they don’t fit the “needy” mold that labour have cultivated they are disposable.
        
        That is what makes me grumpy, not whether Sir Bill is the PM or Simon Bridges or Donald Trump… 😉

        I actually met Jones at The Everest racemeeting at Randwick back in October.
        
        We had a briefish chat about ‘the things that get people upset’, ha, because days earlier the Opera House had rejected a proposal from The Everest folk that the night-time barrier draw for that race be screened, by superimposition, over the Opera House itself.
        
        Loads of folk I had hitherto considered sane promptly tossed their dummies out of the cot – ‘Commercialisation of a national treasure!’, etc – when all that was being done was for, maybe half an hour, using a Sydney landmark to promote Australia’s richest-ever race, all $ 13 mill of it, to the public.
        
        Jones, rightly, reasoned that using the Opera House in such a way would get global attention focussed on The Everest far more than a bland committee room exercise would have … and so used his influence, not just on Radio, to see to it that the precious arty crowd pulled their collective heads in.
        
        As a media man, Jones, of course, knew all about the ‘sound bite’ aspect to modern News reporting.
        
        It’s why, of course, yesterday you would have seen News pics of the Sydney Harbour Bridge lit up with fireworks as being emblematic of Australia’s New Year’s festivities … and not the two sparklers and three rockets that were set off at a BBQ in Wayne Smith’s backyard in Murrumbidgee, heh heh.

This year the good guys are going to start winning in earnest, always with foreknowledge in the end of final victory.

The idea that we ‘own’ these bodies, perilous organic hybrid machines pulsating with the energies of the ether, into which we are thrust without will and equally are seized and evicted from at even more capricious will is probably one of the most silly ideas of the contemporary age. C S Lewis said it must be considered the most funny and stupid idea equally in heaven and hell.

‘My body my choice’.

We don’t own our bodies – how can you own something you didn’t, can’t create or even inherit? And there is no choice. Who chooses?

We are rentiers and temporary stewards of a vessel. And that vessel can be rent apart and removed at a moment’s notice. By anyone, or anything. Such is the price of the gift.

Imagine the billions of souls torn from the earth looking down or looking up and shaking their heads at the sheer folly and stupidity of ‘my body, my choice’.

Can you imagine it?

My friend didn’t imagine it.

Anyway, it’s been good to reintroduce into Kiwiblog the idea of God and nation and ‘the West’. It’s not trolling.

My resolution for this year is to make it the year of conscience.

On their webpage, Facts About Poverty In New Zealand, https://nzccss.org.nz/work/poverty/facts-about-poverty/ the New Zealand Council of Christian Social Services states “Fact 7: Economic growth alone does not solve poverty”. In further commentary to this point they state:-

“Growing the (economic) cake” does not necessarily mean that everyone receives a larger slice. Recent evidence from the World Bank and from the IMF recognises the need for growth to be “pro poor” if it is to make an impact on poverty and inequality. This means that economic growth needs to be accompanied by policies that reduce inequality by redistributing wealth (e.g. cash payments to the poor that help them access health care and stay in school).” https://nzccss.org.nz/work/poverty/facts-about-poverty/fact-7-economic-growth-alone-does-not-solve-poverty/

In support of this claim they quote ‘evidence’ (two reports) reports from the IMF and the World Bank to which they have provided a link.

I made the effort to go to those links and to read the commentary contained therein. This is what the IMF had to say:-

“As indicated above, the IMF—and the economics profession more generally—has come to believe that the evidence forcefully argues that wealth creation-manifested by real economic growth in incomes and employment—is the principal and most forceful engine by which poverty is reduced.” https://www.imf.org/en/News/Articles/2015/09/28/04/53/sp021303a

And the World Bank:-
“Economic growth has been vital for reducing extreme poverty and improving the lives of many poor people,” said World Bank Group President Jim Yong Kim.” http://www.worldbank.org/en/news/press-release/2014/04/10/ending-poverty-requires-more-than-growth-says-wbg

And:-
“ While economic growth remains vital for reducing poverty, growth has its limits, according to a new World Bank paper released today. Countries need to complement efforts to enhance growth with policies that allocate more resources to the EXTREME poor. These resources can be distributed through the growth process itself, by promoting more inclusive growth, or through government programs, such as conditional and direct cash transfers.”

And:-
Growth alone is unlikely to end extreme poverty by 2030, says the paper, because as extreme poverty declines, growth on its own tends to lift fewer people out of poverty. This is because, by this stage, many of the people still in extreme poverty live in situations where improving their lives is extremely difficult.

And:-
Kim added: “To end extreme poverty, the vast numbers of the poorest – those earning less than $1.25 a day – will have to decrease by 50 million people each year until 2030. This means that 1 million people each week will have to lift themselves out of poverty for the next 16 years. This will be extraordinarily difficult, but I believe we can do it. This can be the generation that ends extreme poverty.”

So let us be clear here. The World Bank is talking about extreme poverty, which is those who live on less than US$1.25 a day. And the whole focus and purpose of their report was on those living in extreme poverty. It was not about the relative poverty of the type that we have here in New Zealand. Moreover, the President of the World Bank himself admitted that economic growth is the main driver of reducing poverty, although it may have limitations in lifting those out of extreme poverty, i.e., those who live on less than US$1.25 a day. And according to the report, 80% of those are found India, China, Nigeria, Bangladesh, Democratic Republic of Congo, Indonesia, Pakistan, Tanzania, Ethiopia, and Kenya. Not New Zealand. It should be pointed out that none of the countries listed have the extensive cradle to the grave welfare system, free health care and universal education systems that New Zealand has.

So neither the World Bank nor the IMF have claimed that economic growth does not reduce poverty, in fact they both argue the exact opposite, that it is the main driver of reducing poverty but may have limitations in lifting the extreme poor out of poverty in the countries listed above.

Why has the New Zealand Council of Christian Social Services of which the Salvation Army is a member chosen to misrepresent the findings and conclusions of these reports on its ‘facts about poverty in New Zealand’ page?

Why is it asserting ‘facts’ about the role of economic growth in reducing poverty that neither report support?

Why is it trying to stretch study findings from absolute poverty of the type found in the 3rd world and make them apply to the relative poverty found in the 1st?

Why hasn’t the New Zealand news media picked up on this previously and challenged the Council on its assertions rather just publishing and extending the council’s claims without thought or question?

And finally, what is the Council’s agenda here?

    Greenpeace is one that succumbed early, add in the Green Party of NZ from early 2000s, (Norman; Sue Badford; Material Turei et al) Red Cross, Salvation Army and more.
    You will note a high number of foreigners among this lot eg Green party – Ghahraman; prior> R Norman; Genter.
    Some Welsh whinger comes on the AM TV3 show. I fast forward. I Don’t recall his name but a right moaning minnie he is. Doom, I tell ya.
    
    Rusty Norman is a serial offender coming here first to do his PhD on the very left wing Alliance then moved onto the Green party as it went Red; and then onto Greenpeace which had already gone hard left.
    
    A number of organisations that started out in the 1970s and 1980s with good intent have been taken over by hard left career moaners (aka. cot case commies) who would have previously just had Unions to collect a salary from.
    We see some of them switch in NZ between mainstream politics paid directly by the taxpayer and NGOs or similar groups with the likes of Sue Badford and Matt McCarten.
    
    A big clean out of the more than 26,000 registered ‘charity organisations’ would be a good start.
    When approved, action a sunset clause where they lose charitable status after ten years and they have to re-apply and prove they are doing ‘good works’. Many will fail.

        I do remember CORSO.
        Muldoon took away their charitable status circa 1979.
        My sisters flatmate was one of the ‘workers’.
        He had a ‘company car’ and did not even leave home until 10am.
        He would not die of hard work.
        They were a shonky outfit.
        
        Very few ‘charities’ deliver well.
        I did business with a few in the 90s.
        An old trick still used today is accept a ‘lower salary’ but you need to go to conferences to ‘make the organisation better’ and ‘because I work for a lower salary …the wife suffers…so I have to take her with me on the overseas trip ..number 3 this year..’ or similar.
        The cost of employment is actually high. This cuts into achievements/outcomes.
        
        Deliverables by charities are generally not high and this provides an interesting reflection on the likes of Phil Twyford who spend over a decade with OxFam.
        He cannot deliver on his two key portfolios of Housing and Transport and do you think he delivered under OxFam?
        I dealt with him there in the mid 90s. He was a sanctimonious, smarmy prick then.
        He has not changed.
        
        I seem to recall that Gary Knapp, who was a SoCred MP for East Coast Bays in the 1980s, came from a chugger (charity mugger ) background.

I found this Book online (project Gutenberg) ages ago.
Old New Zealand: Being Incidents of Native Customs and Character in the Old Times.
The author had comment to make on smoking even in the 1860’s. Yet we still do it over a hundred years later…
“and I really do believe that the certainty of death will not prevent some of the natives from smoking for more than a given time. I have often seen infants refuse the mother’s breast, and cry for the pipe till it was given to them; and dying natives often ask for a pipe, and die smoking. Meanwhile, a squirrel who had been watching the whole scene from a nearby tree, figures he can put this knowledge to good use and trade it for protection from the panther. So, off he goes.
The squirrel soon catches up with the panther, spills the beans and strikes a deal for himself with the panther.
The young panther is furious at being made a fool of and says, “Here, squirrel, hop on my back and see what’s going to happen to that conniving canine!”

Now, the old German Shepherd sees the panther coming with the squirrel on his back and thinks, “What am I going to do now?,” but instead of running, the dog sits down with his back to his attackers, pretending he hasn’t seen them yet, and just when they get close enough to hear, the old German Shepherd says…

“Where’s that squirrel? I sent him off an hour ago to bring me another panther!”

Moral of this story…
Don’t mess with the old dogs… Age and skill will always overcome youth and treachery!

A Lefty, gay Christchurch city councillor is meeting with the police and a representative of Labour to call for a crackdown on boy racers in the city.

Christchurch central is being slowed to near stand-still by cyclists an cycle ways and by bus lanes, and the roads are full of potholes. This ain’t Autobahn City.

But the mob being assembled wants to persecute largely normal young guys who love cars.

The media have whipped up the feelings of sleep-disturbed suburbanites into righteous anger – “the cops have gotta stop this!”

There are cycle paths and trails every bloody where in Christchurch and Canterbury. Why don’t the local bodies organise some burn-up pads and a circuit for the boy racers instead of urging the police to persecute them. The police have real criminals to catch.

Usually, a councillor’s sexual orientation is irrelevant to an issue. But the councillor, Deon Swiggs, is described by Wikipedia as the “first openly out Christchurch councilor who supports the LGBTIQ generously.”

Wikipedia adds:”… Until Swiggs was 5, he was raised at Parihaka Pa as a Christian.” Parihaka, as everyone has been taught and taught, was the scene of peaceful and passive Maori resistance to the white c-o-l-o-n-i-a-l-i-s-t-s.

So here, it looks as though we could have a canyon between Swiggs, on one side, and, on the other side, car-loving young men and women. A canyon in beliefs, in lifestyle, and probably in politics.

Boy racers, from the ones I’m aware of, are typical heterosexual, female-chasing, boisterous young men with, or looking for girlfriends. Just like a lot of us used to be.

With modestly priced Japanese imports, suitable, relatively inexpensive cars are in the reach of many red-blooded young folk.

Why doesn’t the Christchurch City Council, instead of whipping up a lynch mob, get some facilities where these young people can race cars and practise skids safely without annoying ratepayers?

If adventure parks for cyclists and runners are worthwhile council projects, why not tracks and skid pans for young car lovers?

Floods, droughts, heat waves, and tornados have been around forever and they aren’t getting any worse. But people’s memories fade with time, so the most recent weather outrage always seem to be worse than past outrages. So, it is clever to claim that carbon dioxide is causing extreme weather. It seems plausible because yesteryear’s bad weather has faded in our memories, or perhaps we only know about previous extreme weather because our parents or grandparents told us about it. Climate scientist John Christy provided written testimony to the House Energy and Power Subcommittee that demolishes the extreme weather thesis.

    Hotel window falls on car
    
    In September last year a first-year teacher left his car parked outside Wellington’s Amora Hotel on a windy Wellington day while he had breakfast with his parents who were guests at the hotel. The strong winds caused a window to blow out, landing on his 2000 Nissan Pulsar and damaging its windscreen, side window and bodywork.
    
    He had only third-party car insurance. So while he was covered for accidental damage to another person’s vehicle or property, he wasn’t covered for damage to his own car. He would have been covered if he’d had comprehensive car insurance.
    
    Amora had insurance but it wasn’t considered legally liable because the incident was an act of God caused by a “storm event” beyond the hotel’s control. The teacher wasn’t happy with the response and so the case was investigated by Chartis Insurance, the hotel’s insurer. He has since received $4200 in damages from them.
    
    So God picks on a first-year teacher while he’s eating breakfast then, after much consideration, the hotel’s insurer decides that it wasn’t an act of God after all!

        That is not and was not the case here.
        
        The claim would have been legitimately declined unless there was evidence of negligence by the hotel that has not been advised. I more likely suspect the hotel paid to avoid negative publicity and to retain a possibly good client…the parents, not the teacher.

        Basically the first year fuckwit wasn’t insured as he only carried third party.
        
        Why the hotel insurer paid is a mystery to me as they would have had to be “negligent” in some way for their Liability insurance to cover this event.
        
        Unless they were remiss with maintenance, ignored a faulty window mount with impending bad weather they were not and should not be liable…imho.
        
        Could someone also explain to me how the fuck a shitty old Pulsar is/was worth $4200 for windows and a bit of body damage. Even a total loss would not generate that level of settlement..so Mike, “god”, “God” or “gods” are not responsible for anything..imho 😉

        Also this was from 2012 so maybe post Christchurch the insurer was feeling jittery.
        
        The full story was on Stuff but initially the hotel accepted liability which is possibly the reason AON backed down.
        
        Plus there was significant drivel being spouting incorrectly by Consumer so sometimes a company decides the fight ain’t worth the effort.
        
        It may be worth following up whether the insurer paid this or the hotel did allowing the insurer to wear the decision on the off chance there were further pathetic wallies out there lining up.

        The article by the Consumers Institute didn’t say when the damage occurred. If it was in 2005 (say) $4200 wouldn’t be excessive.
        
        In any case why shouldn’t anyone be able to park outside a building with the reasonable expectation that bits & pieces of it won’t become detached in wind?

        A hotel refused to compensate a Wellington man after a window blew out in high winds and damaged his car because its insurance broker says it is an act of God.
        
        Here’s my take:
        
        1. The teacher only had a third party car insurance policy. So he parked at his own risk. It’s the same as if he’d parked in a parking building.
        2. The teacher may have had an actionable tort claim against the hotel (if he could prove negligence based on well-established legal principles and – a big if here – if he was prepared to pay litigation costs).
        3. The hotel’s public liability insurance may have responded to the claim (depending on the policy wording). If not, then it’s a case of “shit happens”, The hotel owner (as distinct from the hotel insurer) may decide to pay out anyway to avoid negative publicity.
        
        The lesson: get comprehensive car insurance!

        And a very wise move it would be. I would suggest that till takings would take a beating if it was publicly known that the building was falling apart.         Yes – we’re both saying the same thing. A parking building owner limits its contractual liability. My point, though, was that if you want to be protected, get comprehensive car insurance. Otherwise you’re at the mercy of a third party, regardless of whether you park on the street or in a parking building.

I heard about a guy who had his canine sheep-herder knock his car into ‘drive’ as he got out to open a gate. The car careered into a ditch and over turned. Fortunately the hound was shaken, but not injured. The car was in a bad way.
The insurance company refused to pay up as the pooch was not a ‘named driver’ and besides, the farmer hadn’t got cover for ‘..acts of dog’.

The reason I comment on this is DPF’s sidebar link to the post by ‘Public Address’ re the drug scare at the R&V Festival at Gisborne. The author explores the implications & efficiency of drug testing apparatus used. Also discussed is the conflict of MDMA being tested openly whilst being an illegal drug.

It is a post that if replicated here would attract halfwit conservatives & Godstalkers who reckon that there’s never been a war on drugs & all that it would take is a few hundred kids put up against walls & shot by firing squads to sort out the problem. All typed while looking through the end of an empty gin bottle.

I have eight grandkids, all of an age likely to attend such a festival……doubtlessly other readers would be in a similar position.

My question is, should they be sacrificed because a few fossilised fuckwits consider drugs other than alcohol to be the work of the devil?

        Yes. I’m sympathetic to the Portuguese answer when it comes to meth (speed) & opiates. ie compulsory treatment rather than Court ordered penalties.
        
        But marijuana use should be legalised, taxed & the revenue used to treat those who can’t handle it much in the same way as alcohol should be. In other words pre pay for your own treatment should you need it.
        
        When weighing up MDMA I’m drawn to Jimmy Carter’s quote:

  And you will find that about 88% drank alcohol at the end of the working day – while the remaining 2.7% drank throughout the day.
  
  In other words – people who take drugs have a tendency to take them throughout the day — importantly dole figures tell us so —- as more drug addicts are on the dole – percentage wise – than alcoholics.
  
  It’s not a matter of religion Nassty, but a matter of thinking about what you see in the news paper and on TV — — You didn’t really believe that Stuff were giving you all the facts did you?. 😎

      (Some close family members spend most of their benefit on weed….)
      I’m a boozer but I know that you don’t drink Scotch for breakfast.
      All the Stoners I know smoke up as soon as they wake…and keep going throughout the day.

        I’m a dry alcoholic & I know that a glass of something very full of alcohol is the preferred breakfast beverage of many. I also know of a few stoners who are fried 24/7.
        
        But most don’t. The bloke/bird who relaxes with a toke of evenings is the same as their counterpart who knocks back a few beers after work.

        ‘All things in moderation’ is my philosophy Nasska (Hence my support for Decriminalisation of Cannabis)
        But I must say that in my experience the casual dope smoker is very much the minority…
        I’m honestly not sure why but for some reason dope smokers seem to think ‘all day every day’ is the way to go.
        Don’t believe me? Head up to the far North and see what those guys do all day…And I mean ALL fucking day…

Funny but possibly tragic for some as the COL move to decriminalize dope. Dodgy dope being peddled at music festivals while they are now belatedly considering the need for roadside testing. Expect the road toll to reach another record high in 2019 as they they kick another can down the road until they gain enough hindsight.
