American conservative commentator Allie Beth Stuckey shared this post today. It’s from a nanny of a 3 year old girl born by surrogacy who is being raised by two homosexual men, one of whom is the dad.

“The little girl had no mother figure but clung to me, called me mommy and asked me where her mommy was. She carried around a baby doll she pretended to be the mommy of. This sweet three year old girl had so many questions and needs only a mother could provide her with. It broke my heart. ”

  I often think about the collapse of the Centrepoint community run by “Dirty Bertie” Potter. The collapse began because teenage girls who had been born and raised there sensed there was something wrong with having communal showers where the older men who ogled them could later have sex with them.
  
  Your “natural order” also exists in China, where the vast majority of the population are entirely irreligious, and Christians are like hens’ teeth. How do you explain that?

    Mr Garrett, thanks for your comments. I would again say there is a God given order of mum, dad and the kids. The order precedes the arrival of Jesus ministry and is rooted in God’s creation in Genesis chapter 1 –
    Genesis 1:27 (NIV)
    “So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.”
    
    So that’s why the Chinese people, though mostly not Christian, have the family of mum and dad and the kids. It’s the created order which applies to all of the human race.
    
    The example of Bert Potter would be a cautionary tale of what happens when you depart from the created order and make up the rules as you go along. Chaos and misery ensues.

      NZer in exile – I appreciate there are a few people born intersex. We would see that as part of the fall. The world is not as God originally created it. So there is sickness and death.         I would add that the bible is the foundation of the western civilisation we enjoy. It provides us with a way of living that actually works and is sustainable. Living the Christian life is not easy but it provides many people, including me, with meaning and purpose that is greater than myself.

      Ghost – the original plan as recorded in Genesis is that we were created male and female. Men and women marry and look after each other and any children that may ensue.
      Homosexuality is seen as a sin against that created order. Both in the Old Testament –
      Genesis 19:5 (NIV)

      And in the New Testament –

    Anthony: If Judge Brandt Shortland is who I think he is, I worked with him. God only knows how he got a law degree – he was semi- literate and had trouble following cases of even moderate complexity.

        Bene: In 1970’s NZ this young prick would definitely have been sent to Borstal for a number of years. As a newcomer to NZ you may not know that Borstals were effectively prisons for offenders too young to be sentenced to adult prison.
        
        To be fair though, convictions for rape were pretty hard to obtain in 1970’s NZ. Back then, women were allowed to be questioned about their sexual history, and even if they had orgasmed during the rape.
        
        Needless to say if the victim had the sexual history of a “loose woman”, and admitted it, her assailant would rarely be convicted. The founder of the firm I worked for in New Plymouth was something of a specialist in defending rape accused. He won far more than he lost apparently.

    Bene: He would have been sent to borstal, which was today’s equivalent of a Youth Justice facility, only a damn sight less comfortable. Go back to the 1940’s and such a young criminal might have been given a whipping as well. Perhaps not at 15.
    
    Of course it’s just a random coincidence that during the era of harsh punishments, the crime rate – particularly the violent crime rate – was a mere fraction of what it is now. In 1959 there were NO homicides in NZ, not a one.
    
    Until the early 1970’s our homicide rate per 100,000 of population per annum was about 0.5. It is now more than three times that.

  Poor bloody victims – having had this awful thing happen to them and then, no doubt, having their every action go under the microscope in court, and then to sit there and realise their trauma has a price of around $1k.
  
  The justice system seems to provide little in the way of justice and seems totally skewed towards the offenders and the victims seem little more than an afterthought.

    You’ve hit the nail on the head. This is a huge factor here: these complaints are three years old, and how are we to know, given that we are “a liberal place full of casual sex” that this isn’t a case of casual sex later regretted?
    
    It’s not at all to condone actual rape to ask “what is the evidence here, except for testimony?”
    
    I think there would be far fewer “rapes” reported if we had a culture that reinstilled the idea of males and females getting married young, and who were therefore having sex within marriage, and who were therefore not out “partying” and getting into situations like this one. Liberalising attitudes to casual sex and promiscuity (and the expectations thereof) has consequences, and cases like this are one of them.
    
    The reason “rapes” have skyrocketed is because our sexual behaviour as a society has been liberalised and this comes with huge issues, among them high levels of solo motherhood as well as high instances of ambiguity leading to claims of sexual assault.
    
    A lot of the many social ills we have to confront would be completely avoided if we were a moral society with expectations and standards.

      No we should not be encouraging people to get married young. Choosing a partner, and someone to have children with, is a critical life decision. How many 18 year olds make good decisions?

        Imagine demanding a source for what is a qualitative claim, rather than thinking for yourself. We’ve got to be able to make observations and connect them with rational inferences to reach conclusions.
        
        Do you really need a “study” to conclude that when sexual behaviour is liberalised, and thus people are having causal hook-ups with people they don’t really know, that “rapes” (and I used inverted commas for a reason) will increase (with a “rape” being an regretted sexual encounter)? This is obvious to anyone who can observe social behavioural patterns.
        
        It is true, or not true, that reported rapes have increased as sexual behaviours have been liberalised? Yes, that is true.
        
        Have we all just suddenly become rapists, or is it because the situations that lead to rape allegations have broadened so much in scope? It’s the latter.

      We as a society have ceded vengeance to the ruling power… In NZ its Parluament and the Justice system it provides, whether Police, courts, judges, prison service etc.
      
      When that power refuses to protect and punush then citizens have every right to protect themselves, including serking a rebalance of honour when the justice fails to take vengeance on our behalf.
      
      Citizens follow the social contract but it seems both the Police and Courts are failing I protecting the citizenry and punishing law breakers.
      
      You may think the people should just accept rubbish sentencing, but I dint.
      
      And as I have said on this blig any number of times, continued failure to adequately punish serious offenders willinevitable lead to vigilante justice.
      
      Our Judiciary live protected lifes in nice suburbs…. Their judgments dont effect them.. They are failing in their duty…

        Whether you accept the verdict or not, the court has ruled. If you then want to take vengeance into your own hands then you are no better than the rapist. The judge got it wrong, it happens, the solution is not to take justice into your own hands, it is change the laws that the judges work within.

Having spent a decent bit of time over there, they run for aircon at that temp. It’s truly nuts. I sat at Lords for a cricket test when temp got to 30C. Several talked to me about the ‘extreme’ heat.     Perhaps the issue is that climate panickers base their case on:
    
    – Two or three centuries of accurate meteorological recordings; or
    
    – A thousand or two years of historical accounts; or
    
    – A few more thousands of years of details in Arctic or Antarctic ice cores.
    
    Yet Earth is around 4.5 billion years old.
    
    We’re all guessing.

      The IPCC in AR6 WG1 tells us that any change that is occurring is within the ranges of natural variability.
      It is definitely warming though, and has been since the mid 1800’s, but its gradual.

    You are correct BY that it is not the most accurate way to assess mean annual temps and I did not suggest it was. However it is quite a strange aspect of Ireland’s climate history. Temps in the northern hemisphere seem to be increasing but it is nothing unusual and absolutely not worth the crazed reaction of politicians and media with the net zero nonsense.

    Maybe it is time to think again? Dr Richard Lindzen in this interview questions the validity of the way mean temperatures are calculated. The present method uses mean anomalies from a 30 year temperature record. He doubts if this even makes sense. The video is an interview of him by Dr Jordan Peterson. Dr Lindzen is an Emeritus Professor and had a career as a physicist studying atmospheric composition and dynamics with around 250 published journal papers.

    The earth has been warming a bit since the little ice age (except for the unexplained dip from the 1940s to the 1970s). Similar temp increases have happened before. It was warmer in the middle ages, the Roman era and the Minoan era, oh and in the last interglacial around 125000 years ago (Hippos were splashing about in the Thames River England back then and there were F all humans about). And many many times before that. None of that proves anything re human produced Co2 allegedly being the control knob for the earth’s temp. There is more evidence that what we are experiencing (nothing special) is simply cyclical than there is for the crackpot watermelon-politician-driven hypothesis that human produced Co2 is the control knob for the earth’s temperature.

      Getting emotional doesn’t help anyone, but when you’re irrational, it may be all you’ve got.
      
      My speculative thesis is consistent with the pattern to this point, which is that unevidenced claims are habitually made by Israel (and people reasonably asking for corroborating evidence, like me, are attacked) and these claims form the basis of later military activity. Weeks and months then go by, by which time nobody seriously maintains the claims anymore, but that doesn’t matter because they’ve served their short-term purpose.
      
      It seems to me that claims of Hamas’ unadulterated and unmitigated savagery would be contradicted by the idea that they have been holding Israelis hostages for the last 6 months.
      
      And when the Israelis have already destroyed Gaza, what would be the benefit in continuing to hold them? What kind of bargaining chip would they be when Gaza has already been effectively wiped out?

      I don’t know if I’d call it a fable, but I think we can all observe and agree that it is a jealously-guarded narrative. For instance, I can’t think of any other historical event that is illegal to question, even in terms of details, in some jurisdictions.

Police abandoned 572,037 of the cases reported to them last year – that’s almost 60%.
In total, it received 962,521 emergency calls and reports in 2023, up 50% from 2019.

The numbers were supplied to RNZ through the Official Information Act.

Of the cases reported to police last year, 179,957 were closed without any investigation at all.

The very important case of Tickle v Giggle goes to court in Australia this week. Apart from contributing an amazing name to the history of jurisprudence, this case will set an extremely significant legal precedent with regard to the definition of a woman in the UN convention on the rights of women. Tried to contact our friends in St Stevens Ave earlier to see what they knew of the huge fire that just destroyed the ‘City Backpackers Lodge’ in Parnell.
Unfortunately it goes to message saying they’re in Melbourne for the weekend and wont be back till Tuesady. I’m sure like most residents in the area, they’ll be very upset to hear whats happend when they get home 🙁
