What NZers think of the gangs

In October 2023, Curia polled 1,000 NZers on whether they have heard of the Mongrel Mob and Black Power, and if they had a positive or negative view of them.

The results were:

  • All voters: Mongrel Mob 3% positive/82% negative = -79% approval
  • All voters: Black Power 4% positive/79% negative = -75% approval
  • Green voters: Mongrel Mob 7% positive/82% negative = -75% approval
  • Green voters: Black Power 5% positive/81% negative = -76% approval

Green voters are smart and get it. Green MPs do not.
