Some humour for the next wee while

The Nats Caucus Party is tonight. It would be optimistic to expect any blogging from me until Friday afternoon!
The parties used to be every six months, but this is the first one since June 2008. They didn’t even have a post-election bash last year because of the recession. So this is well overdue.
As with all social functions, what happens on tour stays on tour. So don’t expect any good stories tomorrow – I save all those for my book
Anyway in the meantime, read this e-mail conversation, and you will not be able to stop smiling. It involves the author of the spider drawing e-mails. Check his whole site out if you have the time.

If we get them drunk, will they finally admit we’re fucked and Don Brash is right?

Who is paying for this party DPF?
Given the way we are being told we must tighten our belts and the way this socialist govt keeps finding ways to increase our taxes the bastards had better be paying for their own piss!.
[DPF: The parties are traditionally paid for out of the Whips Fund, which MPs personally pay into out of their salaries - so in other words yes the MPs pay for their own piss (and that of all the guests).]

Russel Norman and Kevin Hague should be there by now.
If you are on Blackberry and pick this up DPF, can you suggest to Tau that he behaves himself.
Oh, and to Garrett, if he has turned up, which I’m sure he will have if alcohol is involved.
BTW, sorry to read you had a hangover this morning. Guess the NattyParty will make it two days in a row. Bugger! It’s that time of year.

Those emails as funny as hell, much better than half the stuff posing as “humour” on Cracked and FunnyorDie.

Toad
Do you know who is footing the bill for this piss up?
Will we see any of our gutless MSM ask this question?

@big bruv 7:13 pm
I would suspect John Key is paying the bill. After all, he can afford to – as far as I am aware, he donates his Prime Ministerial salary to charity – who knows where? Pity it’s not to BAFNZ – the Beneficiaries Advocacy Federation of NZ – (just winding you up, BB).
Anyway, I’m in Auckland tonight, so I can’t get a belly-full at the Nats’ expense. Okay though, I wouldn’t want to get a thump from Tau or Gerry when they have a few under the belt anyway.

The party is funded by The English Family Charitable Trust, established by Bill for no other reason than the support of fun-related activities.
At tis time of the evening I can hear the loud noises of the many pigs at the trough.

What happened to those Labour party staffer thieves caught red handed stealing wine at the Press Gallery function? That was almost a year ago now.

Psst! While David is getting turped up at the expense of the National Party, feel free to come over to http://www.democracymum and join in the debate. You are welcome to sign in with the same username that you use on other blogs.
Here’s hoping David will wake up with a headache and not notice I hijacked his thread…

“Who is paying for this party DPF?”
I have it on very dodgey authority that Young Labour have donated the piss they nicked.

Ok, some more humour:
Just in time for the holidays! Those snowed-in boys of Minnesotans for Global Warming have been hard at work cooking up their “It’s A Climate Gate Christmas” holiday bonus album featuring songs like “We wish you some Global Warming.” (Okay, there isn’t really an album but you can see the spoof ad for the spoof album on Youtube.)
Why are they doing this? Founder Elmer Beauregard writes: “Minnesota is a very politically correct place, and making fun of Global Warming is about the most politically incorrect thing there is. Which is weird because it’s freezing here most of time.” And they also have a Carbon Debit Program, whereby “for every dollar donated we pledge to drive a giant SUV one mile, to help offset the offsets”.

sounds like the Minnesotans are our kind of people.
Wish there were more like them over here.
