The NZ Herald reports that both the Cabinet Secretary and the DPMC Chief Executive offered their resignations over the leak.
As I said last night, this was not a systems failure so Clark is right not to accept. I am still amazed it was someone from DPMC and Cabinet Office. They ranked bottom on my list of likely leakers because the one thing they are known for is never leaking. And I mean never. You couldn’t get most Cabinet Office staff to tell you the time without them checking it wasn’t classified 🙂
