The police do generally do a good job, however, I would be reluctant to offer a blanket support – they do still make mistakes.

The fact that the current regime is still continuing the lies perpetrated by the ‘old guard’ in reference to the Thomas case is evidence of this. The police refused to do an investigation into the case – despite it still being an unsolved double murder. Their reason – they got their man – its not their fault it fell through!

An open and honest police force would have no problem with re-examining the case – instead they are reviewing the old case – a case that proved by the Royal Commission of Inquiry that at least one senior member of the police force (Hutton) lied, committed fraud, and perjury in order to stitch an innocent man up for the crime.

So they are continuing the lies and the dishonesty. It is time they stood up and said “sorry we got it wrong” – until they do that, until the ‘new guard’ is able to acknowledge the mistakes made by the ‘old guard’ they are destined to repeat them – as we are now seeing in the Pora case and others.

They are there to protect us – not protect the foul dealings of each other.

Their recent action against members of the Thomas family is without reason. There is nothing that justifies the questions they asked. It was nothing more than sheer thuggery and intimidation, because the family raised the issue of Hutton’s integrity after his funeral.

You clearly are a person that wants law and order – you will never achieve it unless those that are charged with the task of maintaining it are honest in both their actions and their method.

One of the drawbacks of a Christian boarding school education is the ample opportunity one is given to read the Bible. Front to back, maybe half a dozen times yet the voodoo escaped me.

I may have to chance a deathbed conversion (just in case) although you’ve already told me that they’re a bit short on guarantees. 🙂

Your a liar and take other people for fools. The only thing that changed in the New Testament was the need to offer your imaginery god blood sacrifices. They did away with that, but introduced enternal torture in hell. All of your imaginery beings brutal and vile commands, laws and guidelines from the Old Testament remain in force. Jesus even said he was there to enforce the OT laws.

You really need to have a look at yourself. Your probably an intelligent guy and a decent person. But religion has turned you into a lying idiot and a coward. Get your moral compass sorted. It is not ok.

A section of quotes from the Herald just to show the arseholeness of the police…..& exactly how to answer the wankers.

Two days after speaking to him in person, Mr Lendrum phoned Mr Stuckey and asked him for an alibi.

“He asked me where I was on the night of the murder … He rang back the next day and asked again. I said, ‘You listen to me and listen real bloody good. If you carry on this way there will be a harassment charge against you.’ That was the finish, that was my answer.”

Mrs Stuckey said: “I know exactly where Buster was the night of the murder. I know exactly where we both were. But I don’t feel compelled to answer that question.

“Arthur had an alibi. We knew where he was on the night of the murder and look where that got him. It didn’t make any difference.”

The pricks are still butthurt about being shown to be as susceptible to underhandedness as the pleb’s. For anyone to believe otherwise is naive in the extreme.

Also, just to clarify, apparently the case has not been reopened. It’s just a “review”….apparently. If they’d had a look at court records they’d have gotten what they wanted I’m sure.

Well done to the Stuckey’s.

I like the Jews best of all. They are at the cutting bleeding edge of progressive thought and seeing how their efforts get you and the conservative god nutters worked up is hilarious, especially when the coservatives then go on to defend gods-chosen people so fanatically. All the while enlightened Jews are bringing in changes which the conservo-nuts regard as the end times 🙂

Griff, yes philosophically I can not say god does not exist with 100% certainty. But I can say the same about any other imaginary being, like Trolls and the Tooth Fairy. Yet we do not call not believers in other things that have no proof “atheists”. In fact the term atheist is redundant. Non belief is a default position and requires no label, other than perhaps “logical” or “honest”.

The biggest cowards of all are the so called agnostics. Either you believe or you do not. I am happy to make that call, even though intellectually/philosophically I know I can not be 100% certain. Just like I can not be 100% certain Red is not a trans-gender dwarf. I can not be certain about any choice I make. But that does not make those choices “agnostic”.

That means he’s posted 18,975 comments over a period of 1,527 days – an average of 12.4 comments per day.

I’ve had a quick look, but it’s not possible to come up with a definitive answer in Redbaiter’s case.

Here’s my analysis:

1. Redbaiter’s first recorded contribution on Kiwiblog was on 24 February 2005.

2. There’s no comment total attached to that name, which indicates that the account was deleted at some point. It’s impossible to tell how many comments were made under that account.

3. It appears that Redbaiter’s original account was deleted during the 25 hour period between 24 August 2007 at 11:05am and 25 August 2007 at 12:06 pm, when Redbaiter presumably created a new account.

4. The number of comments attached to Redbaiter’s 25 August 2007 comment is 13,197.

5. Redbaiter’s comment total on this thread is 4,393.

6. That implies Redbaiter has posted under at least three different accounts since 2005.

I know this thread is old, but I just have to comment on the comment count attached to names. Back in 2005 for all you newbies, there was no comment count attached to names. I don’t know when it came it as I haven’t kept track, but when it did, it didn’t go back and collate all comments to date, it just started from that point for everyone. It’s got nothing to do with deleting accounts.

Actually, it looks like the first link given by Nostradamus shows the change over, and I was wrong, it did go back and collate numbers from when the first comment was made. My bad. Look at the other commenters on that thread where there are comments made by them with no numbers such as Tina. First she has no numbers next to her name and then at 8:37pm she does. The database must have been running a batch in the background updating accounts, one by one.
